Transformers Bumblebee Power Series Shatter and Blitzwing Found at US Retail

Thanks to Seibertronian sideswipe6520, we have word that the new Power Series Shatter and Blitzwing have made their way to US retail! As you might remember, the Power Plus Shatter toy, which comes with the little engine and turned into her muscle car mode, was found a few days ago, and how her Jet mode has been found to go with her car self, enabling you to have her in both of her movie alternate modes! In addition, the new jet Shatter wave includes the Megatron repaint with a new head Blitzwing, transforming into a tank, though we have no word if he will get a jet toy eventually.

Both of these figures were found in a Walmart in Wichita, Kansas for $9.84, so if these figures interest you, head on out and start hunting them down!

Managed to get a picture this time, with a note that Optimus Prime is also part of the Wave. It's a retool of the Power Plus figure, without the engine this time:

Transformers DJ Bumblebee Nominated for Toy of the Year

As with the majority of past years, another Transformer has hit the nomination rolls for the Toy of the Year awards. This time around, it happens to be DJ Bumblebee, the non-transforming, music-loving figure from this year's Bumblebee movie. Also as with years past, you can head over for Bumblebee to win! He's been listed in the action figure catagory, against toys like the Mattel Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom Dinosaur line, the Pokemon Battle Feature action figures, and more. You can place your vote in the Action Figure category and all the others here, and stay tuned to Seibertron.com for an update if Bumblebee takes the award home!

So let me get this straight... The Transformer that they nominated for Toy of the Year... Doesn't transform? That's like nominating a dead person for the Sexiest Man Alive. Or nominating The Room for Best Picture.

If you're wondering about Energon Igniters Power Series Shatter, this might help

Some very expensive giant (maybe) shelfwarmer is nominated "toy of the year" by some organisation no one care about.

K.

Someone think this may be a way to get rid of this bad idea's stocks.
Seriously, for around the same price you get the Power Charge Bumblebee, one of the BEST noisy Bee toy to ever came out in years.

Psst! Just because adults who play with toys don’t like it doesn’t mean kids who play with toys don’t like it either.

I'm looking at it from BOTH perspectives. My 9yo self would have found that DJ Bee fun for at least 10 minutes. Then it would have been forever ignored. 60$ down the drain.

The modern kid will unpack that expensive but oh so cheap looking toy instead of the latest video game. Cue the entitled crying.

Seriously, the "it's for kids" is a fallacy. The big Power Charge Bee is ALSO mainly aimed at small kids. Yet there's way more bang for the same price point as the DJ Bee. I compared toys in the same line here. A line where every toys are aimed at the same public. I compared apples with apples.

I would aknowledge your point if I had taken a Studio Series figure as an exaple however.

Normally I'd vote for any transformer that gets this kind of nod just to support the brand, but I can't back this choice.

Transformers Bumblebee Movie Engergon Igniters Power Shatter Video Review

PostPosted: Sun Nov 18, 2018 6:57 pm

As the Bumblebee movie hype begins to reach a climax, it's time to take a look at one more toy from it's accompanying figure range! Today's subject is Engergon Igniters Power Shatter, reviewed by our very own Seibertronian Chuck Dawg! Take a look at the video below and tell us if it changed your thoughts on Shatter or the Energon Igniters as a whole in the Energon Pub!

chuckdawg1999 wrote:While many of you have made up your minds on the Energon Igniters series, Shatter from the Power subline of the subline is a fun figure. It reminds me of a toy jet I had that worked on the same spring/gear motor system. Even if you don't like it I'm sure your pets would love chasing it around.

To those that bought the Voyager Sized Bumblebee that comes with the engine (the one with the fake chest), does the front of the car tab in properly on your version? One of the front panels offers some heavy resistance as if it keeps wanting to spring outward and thus the alt mode is very gappy in the front.

I'm going to guess he isn't a red Bumblebee in the movie, though.
