Stupid people!

The local Wal-Mart finally got in Classics Grimlock. I could see it as I started to enter the isle. I'm half way there and this wacko literaly dumps all the Transformers there(30+ between classics and cybertron, all the ones on the hooks) into a shopping cart and starts to head away. I ask him for one and he says, "sure for $15 after I buy it". Needless to say I'm pissed, then on a whim I went to the local target and find one classics grimlock there and buy it.

Anyone else ever seen crap like that with TF figures? Sorry to vent, but it really ticked me off!

That **** right there is probably why I can't find classics ramjet where I live. If I saw an asshole do that and he had all the ramjets in the cart I'd just deboe one from em
"SUP HOMMIE? WHACHA GOT ON MY RAMJET HOMMIE" snach right out the cart And I doubt anybody would have a problem w/ someone doin just that. Don't the major retailers frown on sclpers anyway.

You should have started dumping enemas and herorrhoid cream in his cart when he wasn't looking.

Dude, I don't blame you for being ticked. :-x I knew scalpers would go to stores and do that but I didn't know they were so blatant about it. Hell, if it was me I probably would've gotten rude with him and made a scene so that a store employee would make him limit his purchase. That kind of crap makes me sick and is probably why I've had a hard time in the past trying to get some figures.

I haven't had anything like that happen to me yet, thank god. If someone did that to me I'd either get the manager or just snatch one out of his buggy while he was looking the other way. Scalpers suck, I hate seeing the classics on eBay, they cost $9.99 at wal-mart and they are up on eBay for about $30 buy now which is total bull ****.

Thank Primus that's never happened to me before. Even if it did, I'd report him to the store manager & force him to give me what I wanted. I absolutely hate people like that. Luckily I have no problem locating or obtaining what I want. If I do encounter problems, then Primus help the universe.............

Here in MN, many a store has a sign up limiting the number of action figures one can purchase at a time to prevent just such a thing from happening. Perhaps asking for some help from a store employee might be fruitful. Probably not...

That or glanced by when he wasn't looking and quickly grabbed the one he wanted and walked off casually. This works when you don't try to get caught.

Besdies if ne was to get caught, whats the worst that happens. He beats you up, makes a scene and gets hauled off to jail, you get bruised up, the right to sue him and your own figure. I don't think you could get charged with theft since they never purchased it.

Dunno, most store I know could care less, so long as they sell it. Come and do your shopping in Michigan, no one has money, so scalpers are rare here. :-P

I had sorta the reverse happen when I got my Grimlock.

I found Grimlock in target and had it in my hands the last one. Here around the corner comes another plastic crack fan and he was after the same thing and saw me with it. Now granted all I could really say is "Sorry man." No offer for higher money or anything like that just a simple matter of first found.

Good news is saw this guy again and there are plenty of Grims on the shelves here and in other Wal-marts since they fixed distribution.

Sorry to hear about that I would be ticked as well since he offered to resell it and he didn't even walk out of the damn isle.

Well, the worst story like this that I have to tell is about the time I was in a TRU about to walk around the corner to the TF aisle and I over hear this little kid talking to an obviously older guy judging from his voice. The kid says "Please, mr., please let me have one... :-( " and the older guy says "I'm sorry kid, I need this." So, a I'm about to go to the aisle, this older guy exits it with a BW 10th Ann. Op/Megs 2-pack from last year under each arm, obviously the last 2 in the store, and standing in front of the TF section is little 5 or 6 year old just stairing at the ground. Ya'know, this is the kinda **** that really sickens me about some people, not to mention it's assholes like that guy that give toy collectors a bad name. Can you imagine doing that to a little kid? I mean, what the **** was going through that guy's head?

couldn't even keep my own find if I encounted a kid in that situation, but then I also open mine for display and share with my kid.

I still havent found Classics Jetfire, Grimlock or Ramjet yet... Got Cliffjumper though!

And that is some twisted stories there...I hate when people have to do that kind of crap.

What's worse to me is the fact that peeps like that give the rest of us a bad rep, like Clerks 2 didn't do that enough for we Transfans. Not to mention 40 Year Old Virgin (although, I guess I shouldn't talk cuz I was naming every toy on his shelves in that movie while I was watching it.)

Sadly, I have considered buying some extra Classics Jetfires for ebay, but I would have given them up to anyone who wanted it then and there.

Ready the "Kick Me" signs for next time.

A 300 pound guy in un-flattering shorts and, despite being bald, has a ponytail?
