BotBots get Individual Bios plus checklists

PostPosted: Mon Apr 08, 2019 8:15 pm

The BotBots website has updated and with it they've added a little more depth and character to the figures. Each and every figure in waves 1 and 2 now have a little bio describing the characters. There's some interesting details in there and even a few unexpectedly cool gender choices. I won't give anything away here, you'll definitely want to read them for yourself. Just click the team symbol and then the character. With over 190 figures planed to be released through 2019 they're definitely building up some reading material.

They've also added printable colored check lists for each wave complete with pictures of each figure in both modes and their rarity. And you can let us know if you find anything interesting in the bios in the Energon Pub forums below.

Not sure if it is newsworthy or not, but I found the Botbots Series 2 single blind packs at a Target today in the Chicago area. No sign of the 5 or 8 packs yet in my area.

BotBots Series 2 Single Blind Packs Found at US Retail

PostPosted: Sun Apr 21, 2019 5:19 pm
by Emerje
After initial US sightings of BotBots series 2 eight and five packs at retail we now have our first sighting of the single blind packs. Fellow Seibertronian TF-fan kev777 found the singles at a Chicago area Target for $2.99 each.

Image

With that all packs for series 2 has been found at US retail and they should be hitting retail saturation before too long. But that's not all for BotBots as series 3 will be showing up before we know it! If you've spotted any of series 2 at retail be sure to share your findings in the Energon Pub forums below and in the sightings section of the forum.

Did these also have imprinted/written numbers on the back of the packaging? If so, did you make a list of who goes with what?

Yes, these ones also have numbers. This time they are actually printed on the top of the back. Somewhere earlier on this thread is the list of who is who. Tfwiki is also a great source of a list of who is who, as well as who is unique to the blind bags and the 5 or 8 packs.

I'm really surprised by the fact that I still have not bought any more botbots, just the original 3 I got in December. I want some, but I've never picked them up.

I really need to get the Unicron and Penguin, and the donut and toilet paper at some point

Where did you get these images from Bacem? I love how they've gone all out on the packing, even putting directional buttons and the like.

New Arcade Themed Transformers Botbots Revealed

Thanks to fellow Seibertron user, bacem, we've learned that In Demand Toys Facebook page has dropped some new stock photos of the latest set of Transformers Botbots the Arcade Renegades Suprise!

Image

Image

Image

This team was revealed during the New York 2019 Toy Fair, and features Botbots turning into items you would usually find there, from pinball machines, arcade cabinets to good items like cotton candy! There's also another eight botbots whose designs are hidden for the moment, so the set contains sixteen botbots on total.

The package itself carries on the theme as well as the blisters that house the Botbots are moulded to match the buttons on a game controller! This attention to detail matches what we've seen recently from hasbro, like the recent reveal of Transformers x Ghostbusters MP 10 where the packaging turns into a proton pack.

What do you think of these? Will you be lining up your quarters to get these guys? Let us know in the Energon Pub and stay tuned to Seibertron for all the latest news and reviews!

Series 2 has been painful to locate. Probably 3/4 of the way done with it but if I'd found singles and 8 packs at more than one store each it'd be nice.

Anyone have a clue if the last three Lawn League bots are ever coming out?

I'm way too excited about a Cotton Candy botbot

Ah, so now Transformers are truly striving to reclaim Convertors territory, and a GoBots faction name to boot! Of course, the Spies' Tilt was actually playable in pinball machine mode.

I guess this guy's supposed to look sick/dizzy from being played/tilted...but he also looks kind of scared. I'll never be able to look at him without thinking of that one scene in the middle of the live action Wicked City movie.

Looking at them collectively, all I can see is a possible concept for the next Wreck It Ralph sequel.

Especially if the tip of the handle is small enough to fit in a 5mm port.

Hasbro missed a golden opportunity with the Clogstopper.

Once again, "In Demand Toys" on Facebook has provided us with some nice in-package shot of upcoming Transformers products. This time, we're happy to show off some of the new 5-Packs of BotBots Series 3! These tiny, collectible, and adorable little mischief makers of the mall have a noticeable autumn motif this time around, featuring the likes of a transforming candycorn, a jack-o-lantern, a bushel of apples, and even a TV tuned to a fireplace video! We can also see a piano, a cupcake, and a jack-in-the-box, among other assorted odds and ends (definite emphasis on the odd!). Of course, each of these 5-packs contains a mystery "Lost Bot" figure. We won't know who they are until these hit retail! Take a look at this latest offering of BotBots below!

Transformers BotBots Exclusive Bakery Bytes found at Toysrus in Canada

Do you Bot Bots fans remember about the Bakery Bytes? They were an exclusive subset from series 1 that the US has yet to get at retail and had a colour change gimmick. Most bots were redecos but there were new molds like the mixer and rolling pin. Well, these have been found at Toysrus. Unlike what might have been inferred, these are not series 2, since the bubble is red, like series 1. They are 4 different 5 packs, each at $12.99 CAD. This specific sighting comes from Montreal Quebec.

Now, I'm guessing this... isn't the Arcade Renegade set? Either way, I'm not going to SDCC, but I have a friend who I think is, so I might still have an avenue to get these. There's hope.
