Ok so the gold botbots arent chase figures afterall and not rarer than the rest. They are just a subset like any other. If they really were chase, we wouldn't have the specific code to get them.

Didn't even know these were happening, most of the stores in my area have stopped selling them, and the ones that do still have series 1, series 2 if I'm lucky

"Any moment now" in my neck of the woods usually means "several weeks to never." Or maybe it just feels like several weeks. However, this close to the end of the year, "never" happens way too often.

Is a BotBots Series 4 checklist news?

Transformers BotBots Series 3 Promo Box and Series 4 Full Checklist #BotBotsChallenge

PostPosted: Tue Dec 10, 2019 11:58 pm
by Seibertron
Our friends at Hasbro sent us a special Transformers BotBots Series 3 promotional box. Included in the promo box were 4 8-packs, 4 5-packs, a case of 24 blind packs, and some special paperwork.

Other than this very unique promo box packaging (well, for Transformers toys, at least), the paperwork might be what interests Seibertronians the most at this point, since Series 3 started hitting retail back in September. Staying true to this being a "Christmas" promo, Hasbro went with a past, present and future them for the promo paperwork.

According to the included promo paperwork, several tribes are being retired. This includes the Shed Heads, Techie Team and Backpack Bunch. In addition to promoting several of the current tribes from Series 3, and the upcoming "Winner's Circle" tribe from the upcoming Series 4 Goldrush Games, there's also a promo sheet for 3 new tribes from Series 4 (Magic Tricksters, Movie Moguls and Science Alliance).

In addition to a Series 3 checklist, there was surprisingly a Series 4 checklist that includes the entire set, which hasn't been revealed before. We've included the entire list for your viewing pleasure below, along with images of the promo box.

BotBots Series 4 Surprise Unboxing Sets In-Stock on Amazon.com Plus Breakdown of Contents

PostPosted: Tue Dec 24, 2019 10:16 am

Botbots series 4 is ramping up to close out the year and now the "Surprise Unboxing" 6-packs are available for immediate shipping from Amazon.com. You can buy the Gumball Machine by clicking here or pick up the Claw Machine by clicking this link. Each set features six Botbots, including one Winner's Circle gold painted Botbot, as well as four stickers.

Image

Image

Yours truly picked up two of each set and was fortunate enough to get one of each of the currently known sets in this assortment which works out to be two for each machine, making a total of four of these capsule sets. Let us know if you pick up any sets that don't match these content listings as it's always possible that true randomness has arrived since this latest series omits instructions for the figures. While no coding system appears to be in place on the packaging to help out if you find these on retail shelves, the contents can be determined by checking which Botbots are in the clear-colored capsules included in each set.

If you don't want to be surprised by the contents, the breakdown of each "Surprise Unboxing" set is as follows:

Gumball Machine Sets
In one set:
  • Smore N' More (Clear capsule)
  • Frostfetti Frostyface (Clear capsule)
  • Goldenberry D'uhnut (Winner's Circle Botbot)
  • Game Older
  • Fancy Flutter
  • King Cubano
and in the other set:
  • Fancy Flutter (Clear capsule)
  • Crumbly Yumbly (Clear capsule)
  • Goldsferatu (Winner's Circle Botbot)
  • Movie Munchster
  • Smore N' More
  • Disaster Master

Claw Machine Sets
In one set:
  • Mr Memory Banks (Clear capsule)
  • Blurray Murray (Clear capsule)
  • Goldface (Winner's Circle Botbot)
  • Miss Mixed
  • Crabby Grabby
  • Skitter Chatter
and in the other set:
  • Skitter Chatter (Clear capsule)
  • The Cobbler (Clear capsule)
  • Gold Dexter (Winner's Circle Botbot)
  • Blurray Murray
  • Milton
  • Snotty Stem

Good luck out there to those picking these up to grow their collection of series 4 Botbots and be sure to drop us a line using the site's contact form if you see these on brick and mortar retail shelves or have any kind of sighting for the series 4 8-Packs.

Love the character names they come up for these little bots. I'm not collecting this line ( I have a hard enough time with deluxe figures with my meaty claws ), but I can see the appeal for the younger bot lovers.

Official Images for Botbots Series 4 5 packs and 8 packs

Botbots Series 4 is in full swing. We have written a few articles about that series already and where they can be purchased or where they were sighted. A summary of all that info with links will be below. For now, I want to bring to your attention some images of the 5 packs and 8 packs. The 5 packs have been available on Amazon for a little while and the 8 packs can be ordered at Entertainment Earth. Neither of these have been found at brick and mortar retail so far (if they have, please let us know).

The 5 packs are magic and science themed. The 8 packs are outdoor themed and movie theatre themed.

You can see the official images below. To put a name to the faces, we have the entire series 4 checklist here.

The Gumball and Claw Game multipacks are also part of series 4 and more info on what those include, along with links to buy them, can be found here.

The list of codes for the series 4 bling bags, already found at Target, can be found here.

So taking a look at what is in each blind pack, 5-pack, 8-pack and the gumball/claw, it looks like you will need both of the gumball and both of the claw unboxing packs in order to get a complete set of series 4 botbots. Frostfetti Frostyface, Crumbly Yumbly, Mr. Memory Banks and the Cobbler are all in a different pack in the clear capsules, and only appear to be included in the gumball and claw machine packs.

So for anyone looking to complete Series 4, I would recommend starting with the unboxing packs and fill in the rest from there.

Amazon has them in stock, but it would be a crapshoot on which ones you end up with. I rolled the dice and ended up with the set with the flask and the telescope. Now I'm just waiting on the 5 and 8 packs to show up at retail to complete the rest of the series.

Funny you mention that. I just got my 3rd and 4th of the gumball dispenser packs from Amazon today. I originally ordered 2 each of the claw and gumball sets thinking/hoping Amazon would send an unopened case, which arrived Saturday with one each of the claw sets, 2 of the same gumball sets. Tried my luck and ordered 2 more, and got one of each. So I'll be heading to Kohls to return 2 of them in the next few days.

So I was snooping around Entertainment Earth's listing for the Botbots Series 4 5-packs and 8-packs to see if they were in stock when I noticed that they are using "wave" instead of "series" like on the packaging, but also, they have the 5-packs as wave 4, but the 8-packs as wave 5, both coming in January 2020. But I also noticed couple Listings for Botbots wave 4 8-packs without any photos yet and due in February 2020.

I think they actually mixed up the waves on these listings and actually gave us some sneak peek info on some new tribe themes for series 4.

The link below is for 1 each of the Travel and Asian Food 8-packs.

https://www.entertainmentearth.com/prod ... /hse3494dd

So I'll call it now, Burrito Favrito from series 4 will be redecoed into an egg roll for sure. I just hope they don't get lazy and also redeco Pucksy yet another time into sushi, that mold has been in every series so far, give it a rest.

Two Transformers BotBots Series 5 Teams Possibly Revealed

While Botbots Series 4 is only recently hitting shelves and online retail, listings for Series 5 have already started to appear at Entertainment Earth. While you may have just clicked that and noticed its "wave 4" verbiage, eagle-eyed Seibertronian TF-fan kev777 gave us a heads up that this listing appears to really be for Series 5, as its described contents are for two teams not yet released in previous assortments. TF-fan kev777 explains what to look for below:

TF-fan kev777 wrote:So I was snooping around Entertainment Earth's listing for the Botbots Series 4 5-packs and 8-packs to see if they were in stock when I noticed that they are using "wave" instead of "series" like on the packaging, but also, they have the 5-packs as wave 4, but the 8-packs as wave 5, both coming in January 2020. Botbots is no stranger to food-themed teams, with Series 1 teams like the Greaser Gang and the latest Series 4 team the Los Deliciosos, so there are plenty of repaint and retool opportunities in the existing group to support another food-themed set.

Thanks again to TF-fan kev777 for pointing this out to us, and keep it here at Seibertron.com for the latest Botbots news as we receive it.

BotBots Lawn League 8-Packs Available to Order on Amazon.com

PostPosted: Wed Jan 15, 2020 5:03 pm
by ScottyP
Thanks to a tip from our pal Diem on Twitter, we're happy to let you know that long after their release in other parts of the world, the elusive Botbots Lawn League 8-Packs are now available to order on Amazon.com and are listed as shipping in the near future. These "Series 1.5" color-change packs were available overseas last year and have been tough to find even on eBay and other secondary market sources, commanding high prices when they were available. While the 5-Packs have been up for grabs on Amazon since this past fall, these packs don't allow collectors to complete the Lawn League team, leaving these 8-Packs as being necessary to complete the set.

Image

Two different 8-Packs are available, with only one of them providing all of the Botbots that a collector would need. Amazon does not allow a choice of which set you get, so many collectors will opt to order two of these sets to increase their chances of completing the team - though there are no guarantees as some collectors may receive two duplicates that are both the less desired option, but hey, that's what return policies are for.

Best of luck to all Seibertronians going after these previously hard to come by Botbots!
