These things are really great looking! The only one I find a little questionable is Megatron, his tank mode is garbage, but all of the others look worth getting. Not so sure about Starscream with purple wing stripes.

That would be neat, kinda like the Minicon armors from Prime. Megatron's armor looks like it could form the top of another bot. The larger Optimus looks like he could form a large portion of a bot with those big feet.

As for Bumblebee.

Joking aside, this is better looking than the last time Bumblebee had boat armor.

These figures are GREAT! I hope they'll arrive here in Italy... Starscream, Jetfire and the jet-armor Optimus are my favourite!

I like these. If they weren't the kidified toys I'd buy them. I still might get that prime with the Arc. I would have liked to see Arcee though.

Now those are cyberverse figures that pique my interest. Also, it seems like the armor bits attach via 3.5 pegholes. If that is indeed the case, we might be able to use them to armor up siege figures.

These look like some really fun toys, for the kids. If I were 8, I'd be all over this stuff.
Neat character designs, and this armor up/Weaponize gimmick is always fun.

Sky Byte?!?!? RAD!

I really don't like the show, or the toyline so far. Buuuuuuut, I'm a sucker for a *good* combination/add-on gimmick. Can't wait to see how the final retail versions look.

I non-ironically like it for that reason. It IS completely random and crazy, with the usual SCALE BE DAMNED of the Transformers universe. All of these are "why, because we can and don't give a f..." :APPLAUSE:

100% agree w/ this statement. The possibilities for future figures (if this particular part of the line continues) are limitless! Windblade w/ submarine! Grimlock w/ an armored car! Shockwave w/ a spider tank! (Oh, wait...)

Prowl looks like he has a great idea!

I think I want half of two sets from this line; Jetfire to hang out with legend class figures, and the battleship to cannibalize for custom fodder.

Just a few random thoughts:

Something tells me these are going to be smaller than we expect. That Prime with the ark will probably be comparable to the Ultra Class but double the money. When that happens I'll just sit back and watch the world burn.

Having looked at larger pics I don't think the armor will be swappable, the chest and shoulder/helmet armor looks to be connected by a hinge and the helmets are sculpted to fit the robot heads.

I was wondering if I’d ever bring myself to buy even a single Cyberverse toy, but holy crap that Sky Byte is a beautiful little effer. That Megatron isn’t too shabby either, looks better than every other version of him in the line so far.

Also if I’m not mistaken, isn’t Megatron’s armor an homage to his Machine Wars toy?

Some think it looks more like Machine Wars Starscream, while others think its being a helicopter is reminiscent of Animated Megatron.

I haven't been too impressed with the Cyberverse line (too many hair-trigger spring-loaded gimmicks interfering with articulation for my taste), but my kids seem to like it well enough. These, however, look like they might entertain us all. I love a good add-on armor.

As far as I can tell, the smaller Battle Class armors from Jetfire, Prowl, Starscream and Sky-Byte are completely interchangeable. Notice how the core figures have peg holes in roughly the same locations, and not all used with the armors they come with. Most notably, most attach to the arms, but Starscream's attaches to the legs instead.

The larger Elite Class armor may be interchangeable as well, but the "helmeted heads" inside the armors may indicate they're not supposed to in-fiction.

In short, within the same Size Class, feel free to mix!

Er, the peg holes might be compatible, but the way they connect to the chest is different on each figure. Some connect at the abs, some in the center of the chest and so on. They even went out of their way to make the connection different shaped on each figure. For example Prowl's connects to the rectangle on the front of his car bumper while Bumblebee's connects to a slit just above his waist and Starscream's is in the center of his chest.

I said within the same size class for a reason. For the record:

Battle Class
Jetfire
Prowl
Starscream
Sky-Byte

Elite Class
Bumblebee
Megatron
Optimus Prime

I will give you the different slots in the chest for the Battle Class, but it remains to be seen if they match the pegs on the armors.

Omg Prowl's face is chubby!

I love these! They look so amazingly better than normal Cyberverse.

Want all of them!!!! So cool!!!

They look like a lot of fun!

Cute G1 transformers, going to have to safe up big time. Want everything Siege, that good looking Slipstream and now all these.

Oh yes and the Ultra Optimus.

Beeftank Megatron is still so cool.

Cheetor looks awesome in s2 trailer (on IGN) but more allspark nonsense (as much as I love BW/Bmachines is part of the added fiction I can live with out)

This looks AWESOME and I love the cameos. But, Lugnut is not a girl, why did they have to gender swap him???

EDIT: Whoops! This is the toy thread not the cartoon.

Maybe he is a trans-trans? O.O

The cartoon trailer does show the spark armor toys are linked into the plot rather than them just being solely a toy gimmick and gives more potential characters that maybe coming from other transformers series (like the Skybite toy). More than G1 is getting some love, thats for sure :)

I'm sort of hoping the show design for the 'spark armors' on Optimus and Megatron get released later on, as they are different enough from the current toy designs revealed and Optimus especially looks like he's some insane mashup of his Beast Hunter self and Star Saber, whereas the toy design seems like he's cosplaying G2 Dreadwing.
