Cyberverse Optimus Prime Battle Base Trailer Revealed to be Toysrus Exclusive + Official Pics

The Transformers Cyberverse Warrior Class Optimus Prime Battle Base Trailer was shown to little fanfare at SDCC. We received no official pics of this toy but now thanks to a listing on toysrus.ca, we have quite a few. The listing also reveals that this toy will be a Toysrus exclusive. So all American fans which loathed this toy's existence need not worry of seeing this in stores. As with the other Cyberverse Toysrus exclusive, Thundercracker, there is currently no indication of who will carry these exclusives in the US.

The toy is currently nicely priced due to a sale (ending in one hour), making this $31.97 CAD (less than $25 USD). The regular price is $39.99 CAD.

Here is the product description:

Noble Optimus Prime leads the heroic Autobots on a mission to defend the universe.

Convert and attack with Transformers Cyberverse Action Attackers figures! Change figure from vehicle to robot mode in 8 easy steps. The last step of conversion automatically activates Optimus Prime figures signature Energon Axe Attack move! Convert figure back to truck mode and attach trailer to automatically activate Cannon Charge Action Attack move.

Store other Action Attackers Warrior Class figures, each sold separately, inside the trailer. Convert it into a battle base for the Autobots!
Convert to activate 2 signature character attack moves, inspired by the Transformers Cyberverse animated series
Easy conversion from vehicle to robot mode activates Energon Axe Attack move
Convert figure to truck mode and attach trailer to activate Cannon Charge move
Trailer opens to become a battle base for the Autobot leader
Battle Base Trailer stores other Warrior Class figures, each sold separately

I wonder if the trailer can fit on other Optimus Prime truck modes.

I don't think so: Warrior Class Optimus Prime has no hitch, it looks like the trailer relies on the stick-out feet for the connection.

That Optimus and trailer set look pretty damn decent.
Shockingly, I consider buying one more Cyberverse. :-?

"Toys R Us Exclusive" seems an odd phrase these days.
Still not used to the fact that my nearest store closed down and has now been replaced by a kitchen showroom store. There are no Transformer figures in that building now. :(

Nice to see a new Prime with a trailer and a base mode, the base is a bit sparse.

Still after what happened with TRU, you would think Hasbro would stop giving them exclusives

Irrelevant. Because those TrU exclusives will be distributed by other means in the USA anyway.

Might have to pick this up if it makes it over here to Blighty.

Even more relevant when we don't have the equivalent of Target and such here in the UK. Added to even more, when instead of stepping up too fill the void, the toy "specialists" we have, have actually gotten worse since TRU closed doors here.

Yeesh... One would assume that someone, somewhere would pick up the slack. Even if it's only online stores.

By the way, even if we have Toys R Us in Quebec, many exclusives don't get distributed here because of random language laws.
RIP every single MPM Transformers after MPM Optimus. #-o

Why? It is a thriving and profitable entreprise in the places that still have it, like Asia and Canada. Hasbro will still give it exclusives, and Entertainment Earth or Amazon could handle those exclusives for the US (if they care to).

I don't know, I would be cagey about giving Exclusive to a company that nearly went bankrupt

Canadian and Asian Toys R Us were never really in trouble. That's why they are the only ones that remain.

I dont think you understand what happened. It WENT bankupt. Toysrus as we know it is gone. Over. Those how owned it and managed it no longer have it in their possession. The company is instead now independently owned by different people in different countries.

It is now under Farfax capital in Canada, the company headed by Canada's version fo Warren Buffet. So yeah, its a new company and better than it was financially for the past 25 years.

Its a better option than Walmart (at least for me). Walmart treats their exclusives like pure garbage. Either going online only or just outright never bothering to list them and selling them away to market six stores.

Exclusive Cyberverse Optimus Prime with Battle Trailer found in Canada and News on US Release

PostPosted: Sat Nov 24, 2018 8:58 pm
by william-james88
Your fellow editor found the latest release from the Transformers Cyberverse line, Optimus Prime with Battle Base Trailer. It was found in the Montreal area. It is $39.99 CAD ($29.99 USD) regularly but was recently on sale for much less online. This toy is a global Toysrus exclusive meaning that it will be found in most Toysrus stores around the world (wherever those stores are still around). Of course, since that store is no longer in the US, the toy will be exclusive to another retailer. A recent listing matching this description on Walmart.com means that this will be a Walmart exclusive in the US.

Thanks to Car Robots, every time I hear the name "Battle Base" (especially in regards to an Optimus Prime's trailer), I can't help but think of Black Convoy's own trailer.

Don't count on it. Lately, only the Optimuses for little kids deserves a trailer. :(

I have that "deluxe" Rescue Bots one. It's sweet for what it is.

The only way I'll ever buy a Siege Optimus is if there's some special edition at the leader price point. It would have a proper Cybertronian trailer that have a geewunesque battle station mode. Complete with a non-transforming Cybertronian Roller who also work as gun storage. I'd be down for that.
