I've never really studied Mirage, but he seems to have quite the interesting transformation. Looks like his legs house the front wheels and fold up over the chest, but where does the nose of the alt mode come from? His legs or back? Also really digging the transparent blue.

I don't care for how the arms fold up to make a wall of a spoiler, kind of kills the F1 car sleekness. This will be the rare case of a Siege figure not replacing an older CHUG toy.

Impactor looks good but not great and will fill a hole. He also seems to have a lot of leg movement going on with rotating panels. The rest seems pretty straight forward. I like a lot of what he has going on and I love his colors =P~

I hope if Lancer becomes a reality, she matches Impactor ;)^

Not sure if this is newsworthy or not, but Hasbro Pulse has Jetfire back up for pre-order with a ship date of August 8 for anyone who missed out on the initial run.

It's definitely good news to some, but not helping me fight the FOMOnster (thanks zerowolf for the new word).

My advice would be to give in and get that pre-order in, fight the FOMOnster another day. This figure is fantastic, and honestly feels worth its price tag. I loved T30 Jetfire and thought I had no need for this one, but Siege has proved me wrong on pretty much every figure they've put out that I already had (OP, Megs, UM, seekers). Boy am I glad I have no will power and pre-ordered immediately. You won't regret it if you do.

Promise ? ;;) ;)

I have no doubt that Jetfire is a good figure and worth the price of admission (which seems correct). It's the size of the damn thing, not scale but the actual physical size of it. FoMo is partially responsible for my lack of space and I'm not sure where I'm going put the bastard. Hell I just finished "PredaKOng" and that monster is sitting behind my second monitor holding cables.

I like Siege Jetfire, but do I want it or am I afraid I'll want it more when I can't get it? Design wise and size I like T30 better. I'm going to wait until I'm sure that I'm sure and if I miss out... I miss out.

Do they charge up front, or when it ships?

I'm assuming Pulse, but when it ships. Not sure of their cancellation policy.

Yeah, Pulse. There will be no cancellation, but I don't have the 80 at the moment.

I believe that BBTS and Amazon doesn't charge on pre-orders until the item is in-stock. While I like that option, it's a bit of a gamble as they don't warn you before the charge.

I play the pre-order/cancellation hokey pokey game at BBTS frequently, so I like to know if that's an option. I have Smokescreen on pre-order at HP, I'll go check if there is a cancel option for giggles. There is after clicking view order.

Pulse doesn't charge until the item is in stock. You'll see a charge pending on your account for a day, but that's just for the authorization. They never actually charge you until the item is ready to ship.

I'd gamble on that promise being correct (the figure is just that damn good), but you know you best. I did share similar space and "where the hell will I put it concerns". I lucked out in that the shelf I had my T30 Jetfire is tall enough to accomodate Siege Jetfire. They take up about the same amount of shelf space (width and depth) except for the height. I actually do like his scale better versus Thrilling 30, I like having an oddball size mixed in with the standard sizes. Good luck on whatever your decision is.

I got my Siege Jetfire from Hasbro Pulse on Saturday, Carytheone, and he is indeed fantastic! He's very hefty and sturdy, stands about as tall as one of the Combiner Wars combiners, and is a perfect representation of the original Sunbow character model. Don't miss out! I was in the same boat as you before, thinking that the T30 Jetfire and CW Ultra Magnus were fine as is. Nope! The Siege versions blow them out of the water!

Seems like an easy decision if you prefer T30 to Siege...?

Since images were posted and suggestions were made, I've been wanting to take a picture of team Trypticon. I'm bored at work and just "discovered" that old Tryps doesn't fit on my desk.

Image

Has anyone tried integrating Brunt with Trypticon in base/ship mode as a cannon/tower G1 style yet? I've searched the webernets and have come up short. I haven't taken the time or made the room to try it myself yet.

I will too. I am waiting until black friday/cyber monday. It's far enough into the year to see at what pace these are selling and not far enough for it to be unobtainable online, and it will be at a price where I wouldnt mind paying for a figure I am not as excited about (since I too preffer the look of T30 Jetfire). I did that with Predaking last year and it worked like a charm.

Does anyone have a good recommendation for a flight stand for Jetfire? He's really big so he doesn't fit on my stand I have for other figures.

I meant that I imagined bigger cables and not those puny earphone/charger ones. He's holding them so neatly, too.

Some guy on reddit asked the same thing. Apparently there's a kind of stand with a 5mm port to put on the bottom of jet mode. I also recommend getting more than one stand, like at least 3-4 ;)

That'd be a mighty big/strong stand. I've been looking for a stand that can support a CW combiner and would be interested if you find something that works.

Bot or alt mode? I've seen those three armed stands that people use for jet modes and such. Might be more realistic to find. I believe D-Max got a pretty nice one recently.

Will he at least be accompanying the older one, given the accessories and actually having 5mm-compatible hands?

Either would be easier to find than a clear stand or harness for Unicron's planet mode

Not sure if I understand the question, but I think the answer is no because I'm skipping Siege Mirage. I probably should have made that clearer.

I do like the look of the figure and wouldn't mind a redeco as not Dragstrip. Whoa, deja vu :HALUC:

So how is everyone handling Brunt's pistol/cannon tip in bot mode? I felt the official way puts it a little higher than I'd like and I've settled on this. It's not the firmest peg, but does snap in a bit. The downside is how wiggly it is.

Image

I like the ride height and it gives the impression of "hey, I actually transformed". Not that I don't like the partformeriness of the weaponizers.

Image

When I was going with the official way, I rotated the turret 45°. It pegs in just ever so slightly more and I like the way it looks from behind.

Either way I love dude's Dr. Claws

If I may ask, why are you passing on this new Mirage? He looks G1 AF, is only the second "Classics" version of the character we've gotten, and his original 2006 update, IMO, hasn't aged well with his pin-head and overall wonky proportions.
