Aye those be the ratchets of a Titan! can’t wait to get Omega I can hear that crisp ‘chk!’ sound now...
Thankfully the knees have a loosened up a bit, and seem a little better after a few transformations, but the hip ratchets still worry me.. definitely being very careful with them

This Québécois got the forbidden fruit!
At first, I found that 100$CAN plus taxes set pricey, but it's just 10$ more expensive than 3 full priced figures for all the extra stuff.

Seriously, the box alone is shiny all over. Even inside! Plus, a full color instruction manual with extra tidbits of lore. Not only it have 4 extra camera parts, but there's also a :KREMZEEK: because why not?

Image
Image

The spaceships are simple, but does the job. For a "bonus" mode, it's not too bad. It's unfortunate that the extra camera parts cannot be used at all in this mode.

Image

The bots are absolutely fantastic and the extra parts are well used. Only the heads that have not be remolded keep the set from ultimate perfection.

Image

I really don't regret paying extra to get the special set. Next to my G1 original, this set is just glorious! Beside, Maketoys Visualizer had already filled the "cartoon accurate" spot. The Siege Refraktor 3 pack is very worth getting.

I don't think I saw this elsewhere here and it's not so substantial to news really but if anyone was like 'if only Ultra Magnus was like five bucks off I totally would get him...' well right now at Amazon he's 11% off which is a hair over five bucks.

Here's the link if anyone's interested.

Just about the same deal for Galaxy Prime on Amazon too, just like five bucks off if anyone's game.

Here's the link for Galaxy Prime.

Leader Class Shockwave just $38.55 dang that's a steal. Deal breaker for anyone who said he wasn't worth the $50 pricetag for sure.

Here's the link at Amazon if anyone's interested.

So, I just had a thought: What's Apeface's little symbol going to be? Is it going to be proudly similar to Starscream's, or will it be a new one that he'd share with Snapdragon if/when they release him?

G1 Apeface and Snapdragon are similar but very different in how they transform.

I was just looking at the new Siege Apeface images and you know, just a bit...that image of him from the back, if you had different arms for that ape, like if they were dino legs, then made the rear ape legs little dino arms...the jet nose would work as a tail...

I hope Snapdragon is a whole new robot for sure but I can actually see how they could retool this version of Apeface into a Snapdragon. Swap in a few new parts maybe a new front end for the jet mode.

Do you mean like his military insignia? You know I had wondered if Springer would have a specific triple changer division rank or something like that.

Still, he's a jet, and Starscream does rule the skies. In my head anything with a purple badge that flies answers to Starscream then Megatron.

He's a Seeker, pshh, of bananas.

Apeface looks like a cheap, crappy Cyberverse figure.

What Deluxe or Voyager class figure is a can’t-miss in the Siege line for you?

Voyager: Starscream or any other seeker is a MUST. This is the new Classic Mold for a reason.

Deluxe: Ratchet, Ironhide, or the upcoming Crosswise. That mold is fantastic and fun to play with.

Ironhide and ratchet. We just dont have any good alternatives for that scale.

You sound like those are just "good enough". Something you don't like about them?

I don't say the Ratchet/Ironhide mold is a "perfect" mold, but I was still blown away. The bots are very "Geewun" cartoon and the vehicles are the perfect hybrid of Earth and Cybertronian. This new siege mold certainly nuke the awkward classic version.

Voyager, I can't decide between the Seeker mold or Optimus Prime. I went into Siege thinking I didn't need another prime. Siege is now my favorite and I'm selling off a few others. And I have all 7 Voyager seekers so far, so toss-up for me.

Deluxe, Sideswipe for me, but purely for nostalgia reasons, he was my very first transformer that I paid for all on my own as a kid in G1, and this really hits all the right nostalgia buttons for me while also having all the modern engineering benefits. I had the Universe version in a previous collection then sold it off and got out of collecting for a bit. T30 and CW pulled me back in, but that crappy WFC Sideswipe was the only affordable option and I was certain they would eventually repaint/retool one of the cars into Sideswipe in Prime Wars. With Siege, the wait was soooo worth it and we get Red Alert and a G2 color clone to boot.

I know you asked for these 2, but I'm just gonna list all classes:

Battlemaster: Smashdown
Micromasters: Air Strike Patrol
Deluxe: G2 Sideswipe
Voyager: Redwing
Leader: Shockwave

Overall from the line: Smashdown

Deluxe, Sideswipe for me

Me, too, but I recognize I’m totally biased. I love the mold so much I’m debating on buying a third to see if I can disassemble it (effectively) and extras of the other Lambo models to mix and match parts to get different paint schemes.

I like a lot of the responses -- Starscream definitely -- but I'd have to add Springer and Jetfire (although his class wasn't asked about)

Weirdly enough I won't know if the seekers are must have until I have one and most siege figures I'm not keen on the alts so my preferences are:

Deluxe toy color refraktor (a bit of a cheat maybe) so failing that, Brunt (or any that goes with a titan partner).

Voyager Ape face due to watching headmasters series/having a display on my shelves and I like the titan master range.

It's almost certainly not happening, but I'd love to see an IDW design for Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime. But, if we do get a Hot Rod in WFC, it's probably just going to be the G1 design but updated like the last 2 times we got Hot Rod's

...I was at peace. I didn't need a new Shockwave, I said. My DotM one was fine even despite his not great arms, I said. I limit myself to buying two full-price Leader figures a year anyway, so I was already done. The Siege Shockwave looked like a great figure, but I didn't NEED an upgrade.

But you...you just couldn't let me have that could you. You had to plant doubt in my brain. You had to enable me. And now...my Siege Shockwave will be here Friday, because that price was good enough to justify it.

STARGRAAAAAAAAAAAAAVE! *shakes fist at sky*

emlit wrote:What Deluxe or Voyager class figure is a can’t-miss in the Siege line for you?

Well I don't have any Voyagers yet, as the only one's I'll be getting are Apeface, Soundblaster, and the Rainmakers, but of them I'm most impatient for said Rainmakers. As for Deluxes, if I have to pick ones I already have then Sixgun or Ironhide, but if it's everyone then Spinister and Hot Shot are who I'm most excited about currently.
