Not entirely true...Gasket's arm's were also guns. I think there is nothing against a design being "more" than it's original self, just as long as it isn't less...If that makes any sesne.

PotP Battleslash was essentially "more" than his original self, (Siege Cog appears to be as well) nobody seemed to complain. ;)

Of course, we won't know anything until we see pictures, but I would imagine Deluxe Flywheels/Skytread will be the same arrangement as with Battletrap in Power of the Primes.

1) Hasbro knows we want parity with our original teams, so if Battletrap got this treatment, Flywheels should too.

2) The pricepoint makes sense for two Legends class figures being packaged as a singular Deluxe class release. 2 x $10 PotP Legends = 1 x $20 Siege Deluxe

3) We know pretty much for a fact now that Power of the Primes was "cut short," so it's likely that Flywheels was far enough along in development that they decided to switch him over to the beginning of the Siege line

4) The "gimmick" of PotP Battletrap fits in pretty well with the Deluxe figures in Siege when you consider "oddballs" like Cog and Sixgun are already in the mix, that is "modular" deluxe sized figures that can be broken down into smaller components and utilized in multiple different ways.

I think chances are that Flywheels/Skytread is going to make all of us quite happy. :)

So the S is Not-Flywheels? Awesome. That gives me hope not only for more Decepticons/characters in-general in this line that aren't just 'the same G1 cast again', but also other figures/designs that were made for PotP that got cut getting used. That should make everyone who wanted Star Saber happy, and it makes me hopeful for Seacons again.

And here I thought Siege wasn't going to get my money when they showed the first three figures...

Given how highly they placed in the ballot, I'd be shocked if we didn't get both Star Saber and Deathsaurus at some point in the trilogy (especially since we'll have already gotten Shockwave and Magnus).

Also, let me direct your attention back to this leak from Titans Return:
TR Leak.jpg

Now that Flywheels is (seemingly) confirmed, that checks another name off of the list of unconfirmed figures on here. Given that this leak clearly extended into POTP (given the presence of Abominus, Dreadwing Duo, Starscream, and others), it is possible that it could also have parts of the WFC trilogy in it (which the existence of this new Flywheels supports). Perhaps we could see the likes of Deathsaurus, Carnivac, and the others in Siege.

...I have never seen this before, which doesn't surprise me since I've only read/used this site since PotP started, and this is...interesting. Did this come out during TR, or before? The fact it mentions Huffer confuses me.

If we are getting a Carnivac, I desperately hope he's based off his Beast Wars-like IDW/Wreckers design, and not just one of the current PotP Pretender-things, but given that IDW's run is ending, that's probably unfortunately unlikely. Snapdragon's cool too, he should have been made in TR, so it would be about time.

....what's Landcross again? It's a Japanime-exclusive non-Scramble City combiner, right?

To be clear, only IDW's first transformers run is ending, they'll be back with a rebooted series next year.

Though if they do pretenders again, I would rather see a proper take on it then just decoy armour ;) Not that I didn't like them, just that pretenders need more love.

I believe it came out sometime 2016 (this TFW2005 thread dates back to September of that year). Given that we know that Transformers lines are planned 2-3 years in advance (backed up by John Warden saying that they have plans for Generations until 2021), it's not a stretch to say that Hasbro started working on some of these figures at around that time.

Sweet, though we also knew about megs and shocky...but it's still puzzling what angle they will go with on shock wave :-?

My guess is he'd be a classically CHUG Shockwave who goes nicely with the Leader Seekers, CW Megatron and TR Soundwave.
Maybe they'll do something similar to Magnus where he's a Voyager-size guy with armor (perhaps a re-use of the unused Shockwave Prime design from the POTP fan vote).

They're basically sticking to 'no extra gimmicks unless it was on the original' so I doubt it.
but they also said all robot modes would be in scale with eachother, and it was a big priority in this line

By the way I'm really hoping Battle Masters will see things like axes, hammers, spears or even chainsaws. We need more variety in murder-sticks than just swords. :-D

Probably not since this line is supposed to have bot-scale the same way Studio Series does. Leader class is going to be reserved for figures that make sense at that size. I do agree that a Voyager Shockwave with a lot of armor is a strong possibility. Maybe a Star Saber pre-tool? A massive flying gun without a handle and a removable booster that turns into armor?

Well that would be cool, even if we've been shouting STAR SABER NEXT!1! since Titans Return. If they're sticking to this scale idea then I'm really puzzled as to why Shockwave would be Leader while Optimus and Megatron are both Voyagers. Unless you are right and this is some carry-over from POTP, which I'm still skeptical a bit until we see at least one other Leader mold.

That said, Magnus and Shockwave were both in the poll... :-?

I've been theorizing this for a while now. Why put both Magnus and Shockwave in a poll for a new Leader class figure, and then release a completely different Leader figure for both of them in the next wave of Leaders (granted, in a new sub-line). Especially since Magnus has the armor gimmick, which is very similar to the Evolution gimmick. It wouldn't surprise me at all if these were re-used POTP designs, and if they are, we could possibly expect figures of the other poll options (particularly Star Saber and Deathsaurus) at some point in the trilogy.

Of course we all expected Horrocons in Titans Return and look how THAT turned out. :HEADHURTS:

Wave 1 of Transformers WFC Siege Fully Revealed with Megatron, Shockwave, Skytread and More

Thanks to fellow Seibertronian Autobot N, we now have what will probably be the entirety of Transformers Siege Wave 1 revealed. The listings for the remaining Micromasters, Battle Masters, deluxe, voyager and leader all come from Midtown Comics. These listings were accompanied by the listings of the wave 1 toys we already knew such as Optimus Prime and Hound. These listings reveal the identity of the mysterious Deluxe "S", which turns out to by Skytread, which was the name they used for Flywheels. Now this can mean many things. It can be a deluxe that can have 2 alt modes, or a splitting partsformer, similar to Cog, with elements of the two alt modes, or even two legends class toys, though that last one might be a stretch for the deluxe price point.

Here are the new listings:

Blowpipe
Skytread!
Shockwave
Airstrike Patrol
Megatron

This means the full wave 1 for Transformers Siege is the following:

Micromasters: Race Patrol, Battle Patrol, Air Strike Patrol
Battle Masters: Firedrive (Firebolt), Lionizer, Blowpipe
Deluxe: Cog, Hound, Sideswipe, Skytread
Voyager: Optimus Prime, Megatron
Leader: Ultra Magnus, Shockwave

As you can see, Shockwave is in the leader class though with both him and Magnus being in the Prime Wars contest for a leader class toy and with us knowing that all those toys were going to have an evolution gimmick (with Seige Magnus still sporting that), it could be that leader Shockwave would be a voyager Shockwave with armour pieces for an ultimate form.

...alright, no spoilers of course but anyone who's up to date with IDW is surely hoping for exactly the same thing from the armoured-shockwave possibility. Long shot, but a man can dream ;)

We've been over this: IDW is ending. Hasbro won't be putting anymore IDW-inspired material. At least not stuff that isn't part of the reboot. The old timeline is over, finished.

Given the track record of past Shockwaves it's going to be a purple...pile of nothing loosely called a tank and/or space ship.

I'm not sure that two Legends class figures that turn into one deluxe would be a stretch, price-wise. If deluxes are going up to $20, that's what the price is already for Battletrap.

My guess is that, unlike Battletrap, he laxcks the individual robot modes for the components.

We just had a legends 2 pack at walgreens, how much was it?
