Maybe we will further on in the WFC trilogy, along with the '87 Autobot Targetmasters we're still missing (and maybe hopefully the '88 Double Targetmasters).

So, are the blades "permanently" attached to Siege Megatron's gun?

Well, yes and no? Looking at mine, the gray parts are on a mushroom peg that connect to the black hinge parts. Looks like one could remove the blades but they'd be left with those black nubs on the sides. I haven't tried myself, but I've seen others have done it.

Guess you'll have to open him to find out! ;)^

I saw you got him in another thread.

The blades on Megs are removable like a standard plastic mushroom peg. I did that and reattached no problem

I'm hoping too because I've ended up with a mostly-complete set of the original Targetmaster characters via mostly Titans Return (and Combiner Wars for Cyclonus). Right now we're missing an update to the three new Autobot characters: Pointblank, Sureshot and Crosshair. As futuristic vehicles they'd work fine in the WFC trilogy.

Hasbro has developed an interesting conundrum with these. T30 Scoop did come with his 2 TM Partners, but obviously TR Quake did not. Then there's TFCC Needlenose & Spinister that did...but then again they were club exclusives.

I wonder if Hasbro would release 2 TM's in a pack as part of their Micromaster line? If for nothing else to get Quake his partners in some modern form. Then all we would need are modern updates of Landfill & Quickmix, along with their respective TM's.

I think Hasbro would also want to make a new Needlenose and Spinister for the people who couldn't get the Club ones (the majority of collectors), evident with how Needlenose was part of one of the options for the Siege fan poll.

Oh, you're right. I thought he might have been when I wrote that comment, but wasn't sure.

Oh, I see. They're not supposed to come off but they can. I was hoping they could detach/attach like this...

Like, isn't this a major point to the whole Siege line?

Wish it were like that, strange choice from the HasTak designers.

And of course I opened the box right after taking that pic! :))

Hey guys, regarding Siege Soundwave, would you have preferred his vehicle mode to be this?

CybertronSoundwave_toy.jpg

Sure, lamppost mode would probably be sacrificed, but I can see this fitting in with Siege. Bot mode is already G1ish, so they could just make bot mode more G1 and probably make the cassettes into bombs

That's not to say that I don't like SiegeWave's vehicle mode, I think it's quite cool.

I have been trying to find Siege Voyager Prime now to use the Target 25% off deal, but he is nowhere to be found now :BOOM: All I find is Wave 2 deluxes and Megatron, along with the Wave 1 leaders, Battlemasters, and Studio Series.

I swear, this happens to me all the time. Whenever I want something, I can no longer find it :-(

I don't know if it's actual news but I compared two Six-Guns with each other and they have different battle damage. Not like the Optimus Primes and Megatrons who seem to have all the same because those are tampographs (I guess all Voyagers have tampographs for battle damage). And the Deluxes battle looks like actually brushed on. So they are not all the same.

They are not tampographs either, the voyagers have very different amounts from one to the next.

Yeah, technically all figures (not just Transformers) are hand painted since it would be impractical to build a machine to automate the process for every single figure ever made. Even tampographs are applied by hand using a press. Brushed on battle damage like in the Siege line are free-form making each figure a little unique.

Finally found Pteraxadon. Also this is the counter to a post I made in the *G1 Walmart reissues* thread about bad customer service.

At my local Target, I was looking at the remnants of the recent toy sale. An employee walked by with a cart full of toys to be stocked and asked "Can I help you find something" -I pointed to the battle Masters, he scanned the code with his device and said "We have 3 in the back, but they will be from the same case..." I explained the possibility that there could be one unique one I was looking for, so he was happy to check, and wouldn't you know, ALL 3 were Pteraxadon. Now, despite the fact that my hunt was successful, THAT is how you do customer service. The employee was willing to learn, honest, knowledgeable, and friendly. ;)^ ;)^

Many weaponizer combos just look goofy... this one, maybe not so much.

Glad to hear you got what you were looking for! :)

I've had some really good customer service experience with Target too. A month or so ago, when I was in a Target looking for the Studio Series Deluxes of Sideswipe, Clunker Bumblebee, and WWII Bumblebee, a really nice employee was willing to look in the back when I could only find Crankcase and Barricade on the self. I told him I was most interested in Sideswipe and described what he looked like. He came back with all three figures I needed, and new precisely which one was the one I wanted. I bought all three, of course! That's the kind of experience that makes me want to keep coming back to a store!

I love the Prime Master sitting in Ironhide's chest there. It gives it a nice little nod to the G1 toy's "face" too. ;)

Sixgun makes a great jetpack, I think that's why I prefer him for combinations. Cog is really good no doubt! Sixgun makes for a better flightpack

Agreed, and Sixgun's colors match splendidly with his wavemate!

Haha, thanks for noticing! Just wait until I throw some Titan Masters in there!

I call this "Combinerhide"... still very floppy, but I can probably work something out with extra pieces.

I can't wait to get Sixgun to go with the Takara Metroplex that just arrived, he and the two micromaster packs are all I have left to get from wave 2.

Taiwan Hasbro Releases Episode 2 of Their Stop Motion Animated Transformers Siege Series of Shorts

PostPosted: Sat Apr 20, 2019 10:39 am
by Wolfman Jake
Fellow Seibertronians, you may recall that we reported almost a week ago about a new stop motion animated short featuring the Transformers: War for Cybertron - Siege series of figures, duking it out on the battlefield in a fighting game type of framework. Well, Seibeton.com member Cyberpath has let us know that Taiwan Hasbro is continuing their series of shorts with another installment, published to their YouTube channel, this time featuring the first two Leader Class figures for the Siege line, Ultra Magnus and Shockwave! Again, the animation makes use of the fighting game motif, complete with a character select screen at a "KO!" declaration at the end of combat. This latest short shows off how to transform and armor up both Ultra Magnus and Shockwave as per their Leader Class gimmick for the line. Once again, most of the special effects are done with computer animation and not the weapon effects parts from the Battle Master Class of the line. Take a look for yourselves at the video below and see which bot stands victorious at the end!

What Transformers: War for Cybertron - Siege figures do you want to see featured in the next stop motion short by Taiwan Hasbro? Let us know in the comments below, and stay tuned to Seibertron.com for the latest news on all things Transformers!
