Huh, I always thought the Unicron Trilogy moniker came around before that. You learn something new every day

Coming back to Siege, I came across an odd sight the other day. I was out in Newcastle, and happened upon their big Forbidden Planet store (importer shop) they had Siege deluxes in, but there was one problem, they were all Six Gun, all twelve of them!

Intetesting, that would mean there were solid cases. And yet there is no listing of such a thing anywhere.

I have to disagree with the Summary for the Review. I'm not a huge fan of the Weaponizer Gimmick, and because of it Brunt siffers from Parts Forming, but I throughly enjoy his figure, and I love it just as much as I do Cog, maybe more. Sixgun has the cooler Vehicle mode, even though he doesnt match the legends Scamper, but Brunt is in no way any weaker than the other 2. And the Stormbringer reference adds coolness points

Regarding suffering from partsforming... Brunt was ALWAYS a partsformer. All three of the characters made into Weaponizers for SIEGE were partsformers from the beginning. Brunt didn't even have a robot mode originally - he was just a tank that broke up into extra parts for Trypticon's battlestation/space cruiser and city modes.

In fairness to the review, Chuckdawg was specifically saying that Brunt was weaker as a weaponizer, because of not having quite as many different possibilities as the other two on that front. For those who don't care about the gimmick, that's obviously a non-issue.

Regarding Sixgun, I must reiterate that he's basically the original Weaponizer. His original toy had the very same gimmick, with most of him being made of weapons that could be used to arm Metroplex, combiners, or anyone else with 5mm fist holes.

I took it to mean that poor six gun was the toy no one wanted from that wave

They did have Starscream and Soundwave in mind, representing the voyagers and just the Wave one leaders, which was more then what I was expecting.

yeah all the weaponizers so far have been warming in my area, they've easily been the least popular of each wave

That's interesting, the weaponizers were actually the fastest movers for each wave in my area. Poor Skytread and Chromia were the slow sellers near me, but even those I wouldn't consider shelf warmers, as Siege has been moving pretty well here.

Skythread is easily the toy I see most still on the shelves. For wave 2, it's been chromia and six gun. But I think that all boils down simply to popularity with both the kids, fans and most importantly parents who buy for kids. Everyone of these characters was not in the G1 cartoon.

Chromia and Sixgun were in the cartoon, but only in one episode each (Chromia debuted in the cartoon, even). As for Flywheels, footage of him from his toy commercial was used in the opening theme song of Season 4 "The Rebirth", but yeah, he wasn't in the actual episodes themselves.

I see I forgot to type "much" at the end of my sentence, but its still the exact same explanation. These are not popular characters, and thus they will be sold less. That has always been the explanation.

Tread is just a beefy Decepticon foot soldier mine’s extremely tight and well put together if anyone’s getting itchy waiting for the next wave and hasn’t picked him up yet I’d say he’s worth it. You even get that backwards compatibility with Battletrap it’s fun. I swap my wings around for robot mode so they’re flared up he looks super rad.

Aww man that’s too bad they’re the most versatile fun figures in the line I think. It’s like Micronauts I just love how you can make any imaginary weapon or hardware you want. Cog being designated a mechanic just makes it that much cooler for some reason it also reminds me of Bort from Mighty Orbots a bit :-D

Same for me, the weaponizers are almost always gone whenever I check the store. I've only seen one sixgun when searching, and I do not recall ever seeing any cogs.

It's been months since I've seen him, but I saw Cog at my local Walmart last night. I passed on him. Sixgun is everywhere.

I snagged the Ravage Laserbeak two pack and I can see Ravage as being divisive for some but dang mini teeny tiny Ravage and Laserbeak, just so much awesome. I love them both.

For me, Siege ravage is simply TR Ravage and TR Howlback's little kitten. As flawed as TR Ravage is, size-wise I like him better with Siege Soundwave. TR Ravage is just a little too big scale-wise, but Siege ravage is WAAAAY too small.

I know he’s...well, adorable, I wanna put him on a keychain.

Laserbeak with the cockpit visor versus eyes looks so slick.

They’re kinda ridiculous as shields but that peg at least lets Beak rest on anyone’s forearm.

Thats because he is made to scale with leader class soundwave as a budget MP ravage.

Its a shame both Cog and Skythread/Flywheels are 'shelfwarming nobodies'. Both are very fun figures yet it seems unlikely any kid would want to pick them up.

Strange, because those figures have been the most sought after by kids. I only see a single Sixgun here, a lone Prowl or Ironhide there, and a bunch of Micromasters. The one figure that has stayed in loads at every store I visited has been Siege Chromia (and for good reason in my opinion).

Pretty much every figure in Siege has been popular with children, and I even sparked in some more hope by telling kids that a Decepticon Weaponizer is coming soon (they were extremely excited :D )

Funny you guys are seeing figures stick around.

In my area, the only figures that hung around longer than the rest, even if it was only 2 weeks or so, were Hound and Chromia. Cog and Sideswipe were the first ones to go, followed very swiftly by Flywheels in wave 1, and Ironhide and Sixgun in wave 2, with Prowl hanging around a while longer before leaving Chromia alone.

I have yet to see anything past wave 1 for the micros, battles, and leaders, and all my local stores have discontinued carrying them. Voyagers keep swapping waves on the shelf every month.

On a different note, wouldn't it have been neat if they had made another Megatron as Voyager class Weaponizer that could combine with Voyager class Optimus Prime into Gilthor?

Now see that is the kind of creativity Takara would do, and it would be awesome to see
