what's with hasbro? they said they lost some molds so how come they won't make some new molds of G1 characters? they could really do it if they wanted to, at least we will have a new collection of the g1 toys to buy...

Hasbro don't reissue G1 toys just to please collectors. Compared to the new toys which are more articulated, better designs and have media that get their main audience, kids, interested reissues just don't sell all that well. This makes it worthwhile to put out a run of a toy if all the remoulding that's required is something like shortening the missiles to comply with toy safety laws but not to create new moulds. Hasbro's there to make money, not to make us happy.

Alas it's true.
I've always been unsure about what direction to take my collecting in, which is the main reason I don't spend lots of money on G1 toys. I didn't grow up with G1 Transformers; the show and toy line that was around when I was a young kid was Beast Wars, but for some reason I've never really liked it all that much. Then there was armada, but those toys aren't that great and are difficult to get hold of, so I kinda glossed over them as well. Now I'm stuck not really knowing what to get. I was buying Cybertron toys until the line ended, so now I just vaguely collect Titanium and Legends, as they cover a range of series and look great, while at the same time picking up anything I think looks cool, like Classics Bumblebee!

Personaly, I'd love to see a classics style Victory Saber or some of the European exclusives released in the new Universe (classics 2.0) set.

the g1 classics are really better compared to the other toy line series mainly because they have better looking models, both the robot and vehicle form, they have simple designs and that's why i'd really love to see all the g1 characters revived, even if they could not create all, at least produce all the robots seen in the g1 series, i think that's good enough
