You transformed Lockdown wrong. His legs get pulled down to extend their his and to move the arms down. I think you also made the same mistake with Drift, but I don't own him, so I'm not 100% on that.

i was going to ask why Crosshairs was blue... #-o ugh. laziness in development. Evac is one of the coolest new “exclusive” Transformers, created just for the universal theme park ride i believe. so he deserves his own face even if the mold is copied.

other than that, i’m an enormous fan of dope miniatures. i will be picking up a few of these. i might just get all of them except Evac, out of spite lol.

Doh! Leave it to me to mis-transform the most basic Transformers ever made! LOL. :HEADHURTS:

That would make sense though ... something definitely seemed off with those molds. :)

For toys that size, retooling wouldn't be worth it. It's either new mold, or redeco.

Ironhide looks adorable yet still somehow a bit badass.

Slug and Grimlock should be in silver and be our TLK Mini-Dinobots figures we never actually got.

Transformers Tiny Turbo Changers Series 3 Found in Canada

PostPosted: Mon Apr 23, 2018 9:32 pm
by william-james88
The 3rd series of Transformers Tiny Turbo Changers is finding its way across the globe and while first being found in Asia, it has now reached North American stores. This latest series featuring small transforming figures of movie characters like Sentinel Prime, Dino and Slug have now been found in Canadian Walmarts. The sighting below comes from your fellow news editor and was found in Montreal, Quebec. These retail for $3.92 CDN and will retail for $2.99 USD once they reach the US.

Below is a list of the characters included in this series along with their codes which are much easier to see this time around due to them being written out in white rather than embossed.

Series 3 E 80051 Bumblebee
Series 3 A 80051 Ratchet
Series 3 B 80051 Slug
Series 3 C 80051 Phantom Strike Lockdown
Series 3 J 80051 Sky Rage Starscream
Series 3 F 80051 Evac
Series 3 I 80051 Silver Knight Optimus Prime
Series 3 N 80051 Drift
Series 3 P 80051 Barricade
Series 3 D 80051 Sentinel Prime
Series 3 H 80051 Ironhide
Series 3 G 80051 Dino

Transformers Tiny Turbo Changers Series 3 Found at US Retail

PostPosted: Tue Jul 24, 2018 8:28 am
by william-james88
It has been a while since we heard of these. The Tiny Turbo Changers turned out to be a fan favourite line last year and we knew there would be more coming. The third series was found in Canada a few months ago but there was no report of these appearing at US retail. Well now there is. Scottimus Prime found these at Amoc Time Toys in Long Island New York. It’s a comic shop that is not wide range, but it might be in places like these that fans will find them, since the US is now out of one of their main toy stores. You can find images of the series 3 figures here.

They are $3.99 a piece.

Here is a guide to help you find the ones you are looking for. Each package has an embossed letter in the back to let you know this toy is in the package.

Series 3 E 80051 Bumblebee
Series 3 A 80051 Ratchet
Series 3 B 80051 Slug
Series 3 C 80051 Phantom Strike Lockdown
Series 3 J 80051 Sky Rage Starscream
Series 3 F 80051 Evac
Series 3 I 80051 Silver Knight Optimus Prime
Series 3 N 80051 Drift
Series 3 P 80051 Barricade
Series 3 D 80051 Sentinel Prime
Series 3 H 80051 Ironhide
Series 3 G 80051 Dino

Bumblebee is the same as previous releases, based off his Age of Extinction appearance. The red figures are all the exact shade of red. The blue figures are all different shades. Barricade is his Transformers (2007) version and is my personal favorite from this wave, though Ironhide is a really, really close 2nd. Speaking of which, Ironhide shares transformation with Grimlock. Drift is AOE blue versus previous red The Last Knight version. Silver Knight Optimus Prime is obviously recolor of previous version. Ratchet is an obnoxious yellowish neon green color, very different from digital product images. Phantom Strike Lockdown is the same, just translucent. Sky Rage Starscream is a red recolor of previous Starscream figures. Dino is a red recolor of Series 2 Hot Rod.

There is a series 4 coming soon and we will have pictures of that for you shortly.

Tiny Turbo Changers Series 4 Revealed with ROTF Megatron, Dropkick, Shatter, Dragonstorm and More!

Some big (yet also small) Transformers toy news slipped through everyone's fingers at SDCC 2018. The 4th series for the Tiny Turbo Changer line was fully revealed with a handful of the line on display. With Seibertron being the first place to fully reveal series 3, it only makes sense we also give you the full scoop on series 4. The big theme here is that while these are all movie designs, many seem to have a G1 deco. There are also some fully new molds which have their movie deco and some toys for the Bumblebee movie such as Bumblebee himself, Shatter and Dropkick in his two alt modes.

So without further ado, here is the entire roster:

Image

Image

So to clarify that is

Volkswagon Movie Bumblebee
Optimus Prime in G1 deco
Dropkick from Bumblebee movie in chopper mode
Swoop (movie Strafe)
Grimlock in gold (G1) deco
Soundwave in G1 deco
Dropkick from Bumblebee movie in car mode
ROTF Megatron
Dragonstorm
Scorn
Ratchet in G1 deco
Shatter from Bumblebee movie in car mode

Bumblebee, Swoop/Strafe, ROTF Megatron, Dragonstorm and Scorn are all new molds while the rest are redecos.

Below are close up images of the ones they had on display which were ROTF Megatron, Optimus, chopper Dropkick, Soundwave, Scorn, Shatter and Bumblebee. You can click on any of the images below to see much more in our SDCC 2018 Gallery for these Tiny Turbo Changers.

I guess they're retconing the name now that they have it back. Back around the time of AoE's development they lost the use of the name (though they deny it) leading to Hasbro using names like Strafe and Ptero until last year for PotP.

Transformers Tiny Turbo Changers Series 4 Mini Pictorial Reviews, Codes and Sightings

PostPosted: Mon Oct 01, 2018 5:53 pm
by william-james88
The 4th series of Transformers Tiny Turbo Changers had been found in the US at several stores like Smith’s Marketplace and Target for $2.99. In Canada, they have been found at Walmart, today, for the same price. However, the codes have not been reported on his site yet. We have them now, which is quite helpful to those who only want a specific character. You will notice that this wave is particularly tied to the Bumblebee movie, and we now know why it includes a blue movie Soundwave.

A Autobot Ratchet
B Grimlock
C Dragonstorm
D Dropkick
E Scorn
F Bumblebee
G Chopper Mode Dropkick
H Soundwave
I Optimus Prime
J Dinobot Swoop
N Megatron
P Shatter

Here are images of the ones I picked up today in both modes with mini reviews for those curious.

Swoop

It's cool how any notion of the pteranodon dinobot being called Strafe is dropped here. While the robot mode looks stellar, the alt mode is really lacking. It does not help that they chose for the pteranodon to have a walking pose rather than a flight pose where the wings are outstretched.

Megatron

I like this one quite a bit. the bot mode is tall and imposing with nice sculpting all around. The alt mode exaggerates the visible head syndrome of the character model but it does so in an adorable. It's funny how this is very vertical for a toy I always assumed as more on the wide side (like a turtle). The transformation is surprisingly more involved than the other toys and even more odd than that, its torso can split and yet that aspect never comes into play for the transformation.

Dragonstorm

This is my favourite of the bunch. A lot of love went into the detail. They did not go cheap, giving us three sculpted dragon heads, that can be posed. The transformaton is cute and very effective. The two modes do look different enough from one to the next.

Volkswagen Bumblebee

Super cute in both modes! But the transformation is very lackluster. The front of the car splits into arms and you split his legs 1 milimeter.

Scorn

I like him more than others since I do not mind the dino mode as much. I like how the dino head fits onto the back spines to make a nice continuation. The waist articulation is fun and comes into play for the transformation. It's basically the most streamlined version of the AOE deluxe.

Aw that Megatron is kinda adorable for how evil he is.

The Dragonstorm looks VERY similar to his Legion class figure just with obvious proportion changes and such.

I so wanna paint those side windows in on Bee

Still never seen Wave 2 for purchase. The Entertainer skipped to Wave 3 and most other stores still stuck on Wave 1.

Transformers Movie Edition Tiny Turbo Changers Series 5 revealed

After BotBots hit the market, few wondered whether the Tiny Turbo Changers would ever make a comeback. Well, they did, once again under the Movie Edition label, Series 5, thanks to a tip from D-Maximal Prime. These pictures of the Series 5 figures come from Wilton Wong on Facebook, as seen here and here.

In Series 5, there is:
Autobot Topspin (new mold based on his appearance in Dark of the Moon)
Scorponok (new mold, with a robot based on the his '07 and Revenge of the Fallen toys)
Long Haul (new mold)
Optimus Prime (new mold based on his appearance in the Bumblebee film)
Megatron (new mold, with a blend of his Prime Wars Trilogy design and the movie aesthetic, possibly based on how Megatron was to appear in the Bumblebee film)
Arcee (new mold based on her appearance in Revenge of the Fallen)
Autobot Hound (rerelease or slight redeco of Series 1 Hound)
KSI Sentry (rerelease or slight redeco of Series 1 Soundwave, as a KSI Sentry)
Crankcase (rerelease or slight redeco of Series 2 Berserker, as Crankcase)
Shadow Spark Megatron (purple redeco of Series 2 The Last Knight Megatron, "Shadow Spark" was used on The Last Knight Optimus toys that doubled as him floating in space and as Nemesis Prime)
Iron Forge Steelbane (blue redeco of the Target 3-pack Steelbane)
Cliffjumper (red redeco of Series 4 Bumblebee film Bumblebee, as Cliffjumper, similar to Speed Cliffjumper)

We see in-hand images of Optimus Prime, Megatron, Cliffjumper, Long Haul, and Arcee, along with pictures of the box.

So thoughts on these upcoming figures? Tell us in the Pub forums below!
