Jada Toys Discussion Thread

Thanks to a new order page on 3000 Toys, we have news that Jada is putting out 2 new 1/24 scale Transformers cars, both based on Live Action Bumblebee!

These 2 new die cast cars are based on Bumblebee and his 2 different appearances in the 2007 Live Action film. The first is based on his 1977 Chevy Camaro mode, all the way down to the rough details and body work he had in that mode, and the second his based on his newer 2006 Camaro self that he scanned halfway into the film. Both vehicles are equipped with real life details, including opening hoods, trunks, and doors, and have complete interior work too. Both also come with Bumblebee's robot mode engraved on the bottom, much like the RPM figures of years past, though oddly both feature his 2006 Camaro robot mode.

Check out the images below, and let us know what you think of these new die dudes below!

Is it just me, or does the '77 look...off? It's like the front and sides hang lower than they're supposed to...

It looks like the front is a bit too tall, I think it is that lower valence on the front

so let me get this straight.
THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE BUMBLEBEE MOVIE RIGHT?

since it was confirmed that Bee in the movie will be a Voltswagon beetle and not a camaro

Bumblebees are like cockroaches. They will survive armegedon and exist for eternity. Its not surprising to see another swarm is coming.

Jada Toys G1 Optimus Prime Spotted at US Retail

Thanks to a heads up from Seibertronian Scottimus Prime, we have word that the new Jada G1 Optimus Prime truck has made its way to US retail! The toy is based on G1 Prime's classic alt mode and while it does not transform, it is a very nicely molded and painted version of his truck mode. The toy itself falls under the "Metals" banner, meaning it does have die cast parts. The box art is also quite cool in that it uses the Classic G1 styled artwork and backgrounds, much like the current G1 Reissues.

Check out the pictures of the Truck below, and let us know what you think in the comments section below!

Dang, I was hoping it would be a bigger size, more like the $20 size releases. It still is a good looking Optimus though.

Dang. I thought he was the 1:24 scale. Jada has done an amazing job on those. This looks really awesome, but unless I chance on it in stores, I'll probably pass.

More Images of Jada Toys G1 Optimus Prime Cab and Comparison to G1 Toy

Jada's Metals die cast G1 Optimus Prime cab was found in the US a little while ago but we never did get a good look at it. Now, thanks to listings on e-bay, we have a full 360 view of the toy, and even a look at the robot mode underneath him (yes, it does look like Prime frozen in carbonite). We can see how detailed this red and blue White Freightliner WFT-8664T cabover semi-trailer truck is. Also, we have images of this cab compared to the G1 Optimus Prime toy in alt mode to see which details differ. These images were provided by Coldiron who posted them on the TFW2005 boards.

Let us know if you intend on picking him up or not if you see him. This toy has been found at both Target and Walmart in the US for around $7.

Eh, for $7 I guess it makes for an interesting Action Master, but it's not for me.

So the final version shortened the stacks? Probably for the best, those long stacks are loooong. Or are these two different vehicles?

"Prime frozen in carbonite"

I do like this model though, and the ability to pull Prime's trailer is a bonus. For 7$, it's fine ;)^

Do you spend a lot of time just staring at semi trucks counting the number of bars they have on the sides?

There you go, three bars on one side, and I didn't even have to look that hard.

Brahs I put a vid up a week ago, includes a detail comparison to G1 Encore Prime. First vid that pops up in YT search for "jada toys g1 optimus prime"

Personally, I thought it compared pretty well and could do the job as fill in display, if it was not for the trailer hitch differences.

Jada Toys Hollywood Rides RC Volkswagen Bumblebee at Costco

Thanks to Seibertron.com podcasters xRotorstormx and megatronus, from two separate areas of the United States, we have some officially Transformers licensed Jada Toys news to share: the sighting of the Hollywood Rides Volkswagen Bumblebee RC toy!

Coming from both Michigan and Manhattan, and both found at Costco (including on the online store here) for $49.99, the toy is an RC 1:12 VW bug with monster truck wheels for all terrains. We knew of the Camaro Bumblebee and the Optimus Prime truck from previous stories, but this one is relatively out of nowhere. Check out the images below, and let us know what you think!

I so want it-and to actually use it.

There is a 5% "non-member" fee if you don't have a Costco membership, but regular shipping is only $1.99.

I saw the other day at Target they had the Jada R/C Bumblebee Camaro in stock, and on the shelf right above Jada also makes a totally not Bumblebee plain yellow R/C Camaro.

To me this looks like they just had the mold laying around and didn't know what to do with it so just said "**** it" and used it for this :SG-CONS:

Jada Hollywood Rides 1:24 Transformers 2007 Camaro Concept Bumblebee Found in US

PostPosted: Mon Apr 22, 2019 9:11 pm
by william-james88
Fellow Seibertronian Fc203 found the Studio Series Jada Toys Hollywood Rides Die-Cast Transformers 2007 Camaro Concept Bumblebee at a Walmart in Houston, Texas. This Dies Cast car is 1:24 scale, representing Bumblebee as he appeared in the first Transformers live action film. It comes with a collectable coin and Bumblebee's robot mode is sculpted at the bottom of the vehicle. The price for this toy is $19.97. The only other character we know from the first film to get a similar release so far is Optimus Prime.

Is this just a repackage of the previous release with a coin included? Because I've had that 2006 Camaro concept sitting on my desk for at least a year now, I'd guess. :-?
