You can't sell Transformers on Amazon anymore?

Hi! I've been on here for years as Vin Ghostal but can't find my login info, so I had to re-register. My question is simple, although I couldn't find a topic on it when I searched: Did Amazon change their rules regarding selling Transformers? I haven't sold anything in years, but when I went to clear out part of my collection, all of a sudden I'm getting messages saying that I need a letter from the manufacturer to sell these things? What's going on here?

Thanks.

Hasbro announced that they're going to start doing a refurbished to a program. Where I guess you can turn in your toys to them. Since they're going to start promoting that probably soon, maybe that has something to do with it. Maybe Hasbro is blocking resells?

I'm honestly curious where you got this information from. I would assume they can't block all resells but perhaps this may curb some scalping. Again, I want to know Hasbro's terms on this so I can try to assess what they are trying to do.

I'm wrong. They're not refurbishing the toys. They're completely recycling them into park benches and play ground material

I'm not sure if we're allowed to place outside links here.

Outside links are often appreciated for reference. Just so long as they are not X-rated or anything of course. I'm still curious to see what you are talking about.

Huh. I wonder how long they have been doing this for? It rubs me the wrong way that they would melt down transformers... I'd much rather them be donated to the thift store so kids (and collectors like me) can buy them and enjoy them again.

It depends on their condition as well. I was just in a Thrift Shop the other day and they had a bunch of broken toys. I guess that could help someone I guess but I have no interest myself in that.

You have a point. If it's really dirty or so broken it can't be used for parts then recycling might be the way to go then.

You could always try eBay.
