Okay, people...

I just have to say something. And as harsh as it sounds, I'm trying to help.

I know that the Movie has broght TFs back into the mainstream, and I'm glad to see the fandom expanding. But this is starting to aggrevate me:

http://search.ebay.com/movie-08-bumbleb ... 0bumblebee

Two full pages. I guess with more fans comes more stupidity.

People, this $10 toy just came out last weekend.

In a few weeks, you won't be able to walk into any retailer without tripping over 20 of them. Why the rush? Do some effing research and DO NOT buy the crap that these sellers are shoveling you.

And, no, I am not against capitalism in any shape or form, nor do I despise ebay. I'm trying to let these people know that this toy will be far more common than all of those sellers are trying to make him out to be.

Transformers Movie Deluxe 2008 Bumblebee is NOT RARE. He simply hasn't seen saturation yet. And he will. Just trust me.

Patience is a virtue... :-?

This is exactly why people hate scalpers when it's the buyers themselves that perpetuate their behavior and existence.

dont worry, here at the philippines it happens as well knowing that bb and as well as barricade is rare in here i always see deluxe bb's as much as 30 t0 40$... such a lame attitude of people who take advantages

p.s. in my country 3 figures are only rare or "chase" figure 74 bb, barricade and soon the 08 bb

Welcome to the world of collecting. It happens all the time and as long as there is a market it will continue to happen.

As a person who routinely sets up tables at a monthly convention, I understand this. I also understand the market. But I am just blown away at the prices people are willing to pay for him.

For example, if I saw people lined up at a gas station willing to pay $6 a gallon, when all they had to do was drive a half-mile down the street, or wait one day, to pay half that, I couldn't keep a clear conscience if I didn't at least try to say anything.

Moreso, I want to let some of the newer fans know that all they need to do is wait, and not to freak out because they are missing this one toy in their collection. I've come across too many people, even a couple of weeks ago, that were flipping out that they couldn't find him.

Of, course, I tried to explain that he hadn't even been released yet...but most of my explanations fell on deaf ears.

I know the blame lies with those who pay these absurd prices. I'm just trying to give a heads up to alot of the newer board members who may be thinking about paying 5x MSRP for a toy that hasn't been officially out for 3 days now...

Like I said, just trying to help.

in some point it is possible that some of the figures will come and flood the toy isles in a month or two as soon as the trend of the movie ended if it's gonna end.

The worst part of it is the fact that the children who want these toys get denied them by people who turn around and sell them on E-bay. They may be seen as collector's items, but they are still toys, for Christ's sake, and at least SOME should be left behind for the children.

The ones I really hate are the ones that start the bidding at $.01, but then you look at the shipping and it's, like $35. I don't think a wristwatch costs $35 to ship...

That, and you can order those transformers online at a lot of stores.

In fact, I'm going to propose that we boycott any Transformers being sold on E-bay that were in stores within 365 days (either direction). I think we should spread the word and get rid of these scavengers.

If you think THAT'S awful, check out some of the stuff on E-bay. I see Brawls for $24.99 before shipping. Yes, the Brawl that would normally be around $10 here.

And yours is too fugly, man! You'd get points for the Eddie Izzard joke except I don't understand why it fits into the context of the terrible drawing.

Oh, what's that you're asking me?

Why, yes, I am an asshole. How did you guess?
