Japan has one of its biggest toys shows happening right now, Wonderfest Summer, and we have some juicy reveals for you MP fans. While Takara is not slacking of this year with many Masterpiece releases for Beast Wars and the movie line, some G1 fans needed more to scratch that itch than redecos and a lion cassette. Well, what about Masterpiece Hound? Would that do it for you? We hope it does, and we can see a coloured prototype of this upcoming toy on display. He is next to other masterpiece figures (including a grey model of the upcoming Optimus Prime 3.0) so you can assess his height. No MP number is shown at the show. The pictures come from Weibo, Twitter and Dengeki Hobby.

At last, a new MP that I truly care about. Plus it's announcement may lower the prices on the 3P ones.

Looks good. Reminds me of the Alternator, which is good because that was a fantastic figure.

Gonna be getting me a a few hounds next year... one of my favourite characters and o e of the g1 toys I never had the pleasure of owning so I’m hoping for a g1, siege and mp trifecta next year.

Obviously the mold is spot-on, and it's amazing that this good-looking action figure actually transforms, but where's the chrome on the engine? (Unless this isn't the final deco.)

Aside from Sunstreaker, chrome isn't something they generally do on the cartoon accurate figures.

Also that's a winch, not an engine.

MP-28 Hot Rod, MP-27 Ironhide & MP-30 Ratchet, MP-33 Inferno & MP-35 Grapple (optional)...

They've used it too much to suddenly stop now.

Chrome might be an optional like for grapple... hope not, personally hate it.

Now all we need is trailbreaker and mirage for the 1st year roster besides the minibots...

Then I hope they do new seekers....

Happy but not surprised! Since Takara already has the Mitsubishi license for Inferno etc.
