Most unbelievable find/haul story that could happen to a TF collector.

So I'm with Ryan today in NY City (yes, Mr. Seibertron!) taking him around to the various Transformers stores. We stop at a store called "Love Saves The Day", which is mostly a vintage 80's store. There they had a MIB G1 JetFire, PowerMaster Prime, as well as some other G1 toys. Interesting, but nothing worth buying.
So we walk next store cool vintage TFs as well as some new stuff. So I go meandering in the back and something caught my eye. It could not be what I thought, so I asked Ryan..."Is that what I think". It couldn't be, on a shelf, at that price (it was the steal of all steals)!?!?!!?
So we ask the guy to take it out of the case and ask if we could look at it. The guy is super gentle trying to open the box...it looks like it has never has been open before (there is absolutely no sticker residue on the box). So we ask him to remove the figure because we are looking for a specific sticker, but alas no sticker on the figure. But out of curiosity we glance though the paper work (which was complete and pristine)...and we find it...an unused flawless stickersheet. We have just stumbled on one of the most rare "Transformer" of all time. In a little store, in NY, on the shelf, like no big deal.
So without further ado, I bring you...
Diaclone Marlboor Wheeljack!

Wow, that head really does look cool. Kind of like Snake Eyes. I've never actually seen Wheeljack from a side angle. Looks much better that way, now I see why he's a liked figure!
So, gonna pop it open? Though I'll admit, even I wouldn't pop something that old and rare open, out of respect for MISB collectors.

The head on the Marlboor Wheeljack is actually different than regular Wheeljack. And your right! I tis Ninja-esque as it is supposed to be a Samurai's headdress.
We opened it in the store to check it out...I just don't know if I'll display it.

That is amazing I had that happen to me about 2 years ago. I was living in Hawaii at the time and shopped quite a bit at toys n joys which is a great store that imports all the transformers to include E-hobby stuff well one of the guys who worked there was a friend of mine he calls me and says I need to come to the store and ID a figure they are getting in. I go to the store and guess what they get in 3 Grand Maximus MISB and they saved me 1!!! I promptly sold mine on Ebay the next week and it sold for 1300 dollars wish I could have got 2.

You seem pretty damn reluctant to reveal the price

Should we all give up asking you?

How about this--how much would something like this NORMALLY cost, so I know what you came in under? I don't know too much about this figure, so, honestly, it would only mean as much in my collection as people would tell me it meant...

They average around $1000. I've seen the swing in price go from $800 a few years back to about $1800 at Botcon.

Whatever the prize, I think Getter won't be able to buy TF for the next 1 or 2 months

.
Btw, are we getting a special SEIBERTRON.com photogallery?
