Anybody want PAYLOAD and DROPKICK?

I read a lot of buzz about 08 BB, which I'm totally excited about as well.

Even some about Arcee or Dreadwing.

But how come nobody talks about these other two figures? I saw them at Botcon, and they are some of the best looking molds from the series!

For the record: Longarm looked just as bad in person as in a JPG. Pass! LC

A dull grey and blue ute that's been slammed... I'll pass, same for the boring lense faced bank van.

No one is talking about these figures because no one cares, they are just some more average Movie TFs destined to be peg warmers.

They weren't in the movie. They were, however, in the movie game as drones.

Both are Decepticons.

Because unlike Arcee and 08 BB, they are not out yet?

Yeah, I know who they are. They're just, insignificant to me as well as it seems most other people. Hence noone talks about them as no one cares.

i dont care that they are in the games. 10 years from now when i rediscover my collection in my closet somewhere, no one is gonna care that the character was in the 'game' they will care that it was in the movie. which these werent.

Exactly. Thety will end up being like my post series 4 G1s. They fill out the bottom shelves, where noone ever notices them. And if they do, they ask, who the f are those, to which I reply, bottom shelf filler.

Well, my bottom shelves are full.

personally i think Dropkick looks great from the pics i saw from botcon. Love the decepticon logo taking up most of his truck mode. Whether its in the movie or not i think the transformer itself looks great same reason i got wreckage

That's a pretty narrow viewpoint to have, there are plenty of excellent figures from every series that didn't make it into the show (or movie), everybody loves Classics and they didn't even have their own show. I don't care if a character was in the movie, if it's a great figure I'm going to buy it and from the pics I've seen Payload and Dropkick both look fantastic.

Actually, I thought the new truck molds were some of the best-looking from the movie line yet...

I don't really care for Payload's design, but Dropkick looks pretty good. A shame I can't find a place here that has a good stock of Deluxe figures. I still have to find '08 Bumblebee!

Both are a must-own for me. Any molds besides basic cars or jets are instantly interesting. We need more variety!

Armorhide, Hardtop, Downshift, Shortround and Wreckloose were never in the Cybertron cartoon, but they are some of the best figures in the line.
And Sharkticon, Tow-Line and Slugslinger were never in the Energon cartoon, but they were good figures too. So just because a mold isn't from the movie, doesn't mean it can't be awesome.

I can't believe that any Transformers fan would pass on some awesome toys because they weren't in a movie that was made that had the transformers name attached to it.

Who cares about the movie? It sucked.

The only reason I want a sequel is so they can make more toys!

I'm in it for the toys, and I don't much care if they're red carpet celebrities or not.

These two figs are awesome!

And in the first issue of the prequel comic interrogating Bumblebee and Arcee before Megatron arrives.

I really like these 2 figures. I can't wait to find them both. I just wish I could find Bumblebee. 15 stores in 2 days and no luck.
