ROTF Anniversary speculation

I brought this up on the MPM-08 thread yesterday but we are 1 year away from the 10th anniversary of Revenge of the Fallen so I am starting this thread to speculate what we may see from HasTak for this anniversary, Given that we got MPM reinvigorated by the anniversary of the 07 film seeing true masterpiece figures join the ranks of 2 HFTD leaders repainted.

As I said with MPM-08, I would be stunned at HasTak's Idiocy if we don't get MPM-ROTF Bumblebee, they'd need to change a minute amount of parts from MPM-03 and would be able to trick us all into giving them 80 quid for mostly the same figure.

Jetfire would also be a valued addition to the MPM particularly if he combined with Optimus. If they do that it should use Partsforming because the fusion in the film was always partsforming. It doesn't even have to be MPM, though that would be great, a Jetfire for studio series, that combines with Prime would be great

The only other thing I can think of that I would like from HasTak is to finally do justice to Devastator. I know he isn't ever gonna be anyones favourite version of Devastator but in his own right that design is badass but HasTak never treated it with respect. We got a truly terrible 'supreme' or whatever and a semi decent legends, but it was still bipedal when in the film he was clearly quadrapedial.

I'd say that the constructions should form from perhaps 2 voyagers (Overload and Scavenger) and a wave or so of deluxes, able to combine into Devy, possibly as a box set, Scavenger could also be repainted at a later date as Demolisher

What would you like for a celebration of ROTF's 10th birthday, or do you not think they'll do anything?

A Jetfire that combined with Optimus would NOT be a valued addition to the MPM line because it would be impossible to do one that was up to Masterpiece standards.

Jetfire's "combination" with Optimus isn't just partsforming, it's bits of his body being taken apart and rebuilt differently, in ways where certain parts are arranged at odds with each other. Take the engines - the way they'd need to transform for the Jetpower armor is at odds with the way they need to transform to form Jefire's legs - this is why the ROTF Leader Jefire ends up with a kibble backpack. And then there's the leg extensions - it's impossible to have those look anything like they did in the movie while still transforming into parts of an accurate Jetfire. The paldrons, made from the nose of the Blackbird split down the middle, are also a problem - on Jetfire that's his head and part of his back! Doing an ROTF Jefire that combines with Optimus is impossible without some substantial compromises to both Jefire himself and the look of the Jetpower armor. Partsforming would make it more functional, but it wouldn't really help too much with the accuracy.

I would want to see a Jetfire in both the MPM and Studio Series lines that was purely devoted to being Jetfire, with his legs actually forming the engines and the cockpit on his head actually being integrated with the jet mode, stuff like that. And of course a landing gear cane that actually becomes an axe like in the movie. I would also want to see an MPM version of ROTF Megatron, MPM and Studio Series Leader-class The Fallen, and a reissue of MPM Optimus that includes a 2nd gun.

Looks like Studio Series is where the ROTF anniversary is being celebrated, at least for now, we have powered up Optimus and an 8 part Devastator coming there.
