Is there a best time of year to buy secondary market bots?

I'm a novice collector looking for some advice from the more experienced collectors here, and I'd like to know if you think there are any particularly good (or bad) times of years to buy Transformers collectibles on the secondary market?

I personally want to pick up a few Masterpiece figures - if they were brand-new, Black Friday would be the easy bet, but I honestly have no idea of the secondary market even pays attention to Black Friday. For all I know, that could be the worst day of the year to buy...based on your experiences, looking at the current prices for Masterpiece figures, would you say this is a good tiem to pick one up, or a bad time?

Any advice is appreciated!

The best time to buy is when the over all purchase and your financial situation feels right. Various websites have great deals during the week of Cyber Monday (the Monday after Black Friday), but other sites like eBay have recently been offering 10% to 20% off coupons to use on eBay that you can use however you want. There can be some great deals found during Cyber Monday, but you are also at the mercy of buying leftover products from retailers (which means supply for specific products may be limited or unavailable).

The best time to buy is any time you can buy a figure you want that is priced in a manner that you will be happy and comfortable with.

Holiday season can be great on hyper-specific, lesser known items because folks are busy buying gifts for others. Also some sellers may be more willing to haggle if they're selling to raise money to buy gifts for others.

Outside of that, what Seibertron said in the post above this is the answer :)

This is the best advice you can really give. I've paid over value before because it was a good time to get it and not regretted it. By the same token - its not worth getting in debt or putting yourself on the breadline for a "deal".
