Uh  , thanks for the enlightenment.
So it's like Betatron and Computron.

Percisely :D I'd imagine Starscream would be the same if they ever made two more jets for him to combine with.

Never say NEVER with having the GS line now. They are not done with combiners yet.
So it'll be Grand Starscream with whom ever and King Starscream with the "Seekers"? Only problem is Darkwing and Dreadwind are no original Seekers. But does anybody care as long as they are Decepticon jets? >:oP

Honestly, I find it preferable for them to use non-Seeker jets as limbs for Starscream, considering. As far as rounding out the jet limb set goes, I would personally like to see them do Hydra and Buster. I'm sure Takara would be happy to go that route.
Of course, if you think about it, doing G2 Shuttle!Blast Off would also round out the jet limb set because then there'd be two different displaced Jet!Blast Offs.

You know, I think we're all forgetting the most obvious "character" for Selects:

I'd prefer some Seekers we haven't gotten that often. The Rainmakers for example - I would love to get another MP deco-styled Acid Storm :x. Or Dirge and Thrust with appropriate wings (and heads).

Well, I prefer non-Seeker jets for him because to me it would look and feel awkward for him to have limbs who were smaller versions of the same body type.

Overcharge is a Quintesson mass-produced drone (hence "character" being in quotes) based on Blitzwing's body.

Wolfman Jake wrote:We all knew it was coming, but we finally have solid proof that, hot on the heels of the release of Transformers SIEGE Greenlight comes the final member of the Female Autobots, Lancer! This breaking news was submitted to us by Seibertron.com member Jtprime17, and first reported on the boards at tfw2005.com. Apparently, "Hobby Corner" on Facebook has announced that they have opened up pre-orders for this highly anticipated last piece needed to complete the "Orthia" combiner as hinted by Greenlight's bonus information on transformers.com when entering the password "LANCER." Unlike Greenlight, though, Lancer appears to be part of the Transformers Generations Selects line, as WFC-GS05. Even better, "Hobby Corner" has revealed an in-hand photo of Lancer. This picture reveals that, also unlike Greenlight, Lancer is not retooled from the Power of the Primes Moonracer and Novastar (a.k.a., Firestar) mold, except for her new, unique head sculpt. The rest of her is created with some more clever repainting, this time in orange and two different shades of purple. Lancer also comes with a repaint of Novastar's gun accessory and a repainted "Prime Armor" piece to serve as a hand in arm mode when combined to form Orthia (or the previously named "Elita Infin1te" from PotP, if you prefer). Unfortunately, again, unlike Greenlight, Lancer also doesn't come with a Battle Master partner as a bonus. Take a look for yourself at Lancer below!

What do you think of the upcoming Transformers Generations Selects Lancer? Will you be adding her to your female Autobot collection? Let us know in the forums and stay tuned to Seibertron.com for the latest news on all things Transformers!

Nope.

Like Greenlight, she has new mold forearms and fists, new shins and feet. A direct mold from Greenlight with a new head and colors.

I still wish they would have used a better mold if they were going to squeeze out an entire team of female bots. I do however like that this mold was designed to be female, and isn't a repurposed male mold, but that backpack... it's just that backpack..

The shipping is nearly double the cost of the figure. :-x

I realize I may have entered a "Grumpy Old Man" stage in life, but I really miss being able to find stuff at an actual store. Having to order everything online sucks a lot of the fun out of collecting.

It’s an online exclusive. No one is forcing you to do anything.

This is a special figure and exclusive. Those have existed for near 20 years. It’s not unlike TFCC figure. You couldnt walk into retail stores and get those the big difference is these are way cheaper and more easily available

A couple of additional thoughts, just on the pricing.

So far all of the generations selects items have shown up on Hasbro Pulse and Amazon for the cheapest prices ($20 deluxe, $30 voyager), as long as you are willing to be patient. Redwing may be the first one to buck that trend if he is a Target exclusive. Lancer showing up at Robot Kingdom leads me to believe Lancer will not be a retailer exclusive, so she should show up on Pulse and/or Amazon eventually. If you have Pulse Premium or Amazon Prime already, that is going to be your best/cheapest bet by far. If not, and you are in the US, then BBTS is your best bet with $4 shipping or TFSource if you have something else in your stack already to get you up to free shipping.

Bbts and tfsource dont have $4 shipping. You’re paying between $9-$13 for an item of this size and weight.

Actually, with Hasbro's piss-poor distribution, it's slowly getting to the point where we're going to have to start ordering the regular releases just like the exclusives. Wave 3 Seige figures are supposedly out, but the only things on the pegs around here are the same handful of Wave 1 figures that rolled out in the beginning.

Um, what? BBTS has $4 flat rate shipping on anything, it is one of their main sales points and shown prominently on their main page.

Also I never said TFSource has $4 shipping (notice the word "or" in my orignal post). They have free shipping above a certain amount and allow you to keep a stack, so the option there is basically free shipping if you have other items in your stack already that would push you above whatever their threshold is ($150 I believe).

Looking at this, to me, it looks like the purple they used for the body is too dark and should have been the purple they used for the legs. The legs then should have been a lighter shade to wht we're getting.

Yeah, but then they add the sales tax of the items on top of the shipping cost, upping it way above a mere $4.
