It's what I would have done if I hadn't already pre-ordered them individually and the boxset was more easily accessible.

Well in my case I forgot about them and I was going to just let it go. However when I heard all 6 which may cost a little more says the rumors I was like cool take my money. That toy is a thing of beauty

It wasn't a rumor: https://takaratomymall.jp/shop/g/g8000000001346/
It was in the news here roughly the same day it was announced. However it was super limited, first come first served until sold out, likely just to get rid of whatever stock they had left after the initial pre-orders closed. No other stores showed any interest in carrying it, probably because they can just make their own sets. I feel like if we were going to get an actual gift set from China we would have heard about it from Robotkingdom by now.

Pulse may have delayed MP Smokescreen +, but The Chosen Prime will have him on my doorstep when I get home from work tomorrow.

Unless they are running a real good discount deal, I think I'm just about done with Pulse. You can get it from elsewhere at same cost or less, weeks sooner.

Then that whole debacle with supposedly early access for premium members...

Pretty much this, I don't really have a problem not renewing my subscription. The only good thing Pulse has done for me was give me free shipping on $20 orders instead of $25 or $50

Are the free Premium subs up yet? I haven't gotten an email from Pulse and it's not like you can get any info via the website. Extremely unlikely I'll pay for their "premium" service.

"Other perks", that's like pre-ordering a season pass for a game. 8-}

I think they gave us a full year with any purchase in Feb 2019, but I don't remember if they did that to a year from the purchase date or the end of February. In any case, it should be up somewhere between Feb. 15th and 29th. I won't be renewing unless the throw past premium members a deal for like $20 if we aren't renewing. I rarely had any $20 orders with them anyway. The only perk I will miss is that 20% off black Friday coupon, but they still gave everyone else 10%, so I can't justify paying $50. It does help that the wife already has Amazon Prime.

Toywiz has the upcoming Selects Spy patrol up for pre-order, no images yet. They're charging $29.99 USD for it, but they're known for charging a mark-up on things.

We have a UPC # though now. Which is 630509949533.

Hasbro Pulse has been pretty good for me this past year. I bought Combat Megatron and got the free year long premium services (free shipping). For all of the Hasbro-initiated selects releases, there was no issue getting them on time. For the regular retail releases, some of them popped up first on Hasbro Pulse, and some on Amazon.com (with Prime membership), so whichever would come in first, I'd cancel the pre-order on the other. That pretty much had me covered for all of 2019, and the price per unit was MSRP, instead of marked up a few dollars like on some of the other online retailers, like TFSource or BBTS. I don't know why Hasbro Pulse is having such a problem with the Takara Tomy releases, though, both Selects and Masterpiece. I got my Masterpieces last year through TFSource since they put up their preorders first, the prices were equivocal, and I could still get free shipping on $150+ orders with TFSource. I'm glad after hearing about everyone else's issues with the delays with Hasbro Pulse's Masterpiece releases. Oh, and the Masterpieces I got from TFSource had the Hasbro sleeve on them too, so that's definitely NOT the reason for the delay in release from Hasbro Pulse.

I was looking at my receipts last night and I was shocked with how much I ordered from Pulse. Just shipping savings alone would have paid for the service. And of course they're the easiest and cheapest way to get their exclusives. Made me rethink my attitude on paying for a sub. I'm a Prime member as well so it will come down to exclusives and these mystery perks.

I know this isn't the Masterpiece thread, but it's relevant to the discussion of Hasbro Pulse delaying the releases of their Takara Tomy products. I just got notified that my MP-19+ Smokescreen preorder is now in stock at TFSource. If other third party sellers are getting their stock on time, why isn't Hasbro Pulse?

Must be an extra step other retailers don't have. Now that I think about it... where is their distribution center located? :-?

I was wrong, he was not on my doorstep when I got home. I was actually home for an hour before he showed up.

So yeah, Pulse has a delay, and The Chosen Prime already has it in their customers hands.

I ordered a lot too, surprised at how much I bought.

the shame is, the premium membership didn't really do much, almost all of my orders were at their regular free shipping range, and the orders I did place that were under that range could have been modified to hit the free shipping point.

and with other sponsors getting the selects and Smokescreen in stock now, while Pulse is delayed, which is what happened to Star Convoy and Blackarachnia, it is strange

Most of my orders were small/individual figures (under regular free shipping). I only had one order (out of 10) that would have qualified for free shipping (Refraktor set).

I forget, did any of the Selects or exclusives require a premium account?

I have 24 orders on Pulse and only 7 of them would have shipped for free without Premium. The rest would have been more than $118 at the cheapest shipping option. $50 for premium would be a steal, but I want to see if they offer the same deal again for Toy Fair like last year. Definitely won't be renewing until they show off some new Selects.

TFSource used to be in Forest Lake, MN, but they moved to someplace in Nevada. The original MN location then became the "vintage" location for older toys (G1 mostly), but that too moved to Wisconsin a few years ago. It was great when TFSource was here in Minnesota. I got a chance to tour their warehouse once, and on occasion, I got to pick up my purchases directly from them, skipping on the shipping process entirely. :)
