I'm hoping the face isn't blacked out. It obscures a neat face sculpt. Would have rather had G2 Green and Purple. Seemed like a Slamdunk. This is, while a never released variation, not one we really we're dying to have. I hope they put a nice spin on it.

Yes it would have had a Jet Mode Reverse Convoy never had, but it was an extremely easy exclusive to make.

That would be awesome. And as a companion piece they could do a combiner.made of other robot masters Decepticons
Gigant Bomb (potp Starscream)
Smokesniper (cw powerglide)
Doubleface (deluxe groove)
Wreckerhook (off-road)
Wingstun (Firefly)
Air Hunter (skydive)

A Robot Masters box set would be kind of cool.

So a TR Prime repaint?

Also, hope red Swoop turns out good. If he does, I will need another blue Swoop and a deluxe Groove to make myself some proper combiners using those members

Why not the venerable Universe Nightstick mold?

Nope, time for some fresh blood. Give me one of those Battlemasters.

Why, though? Universe Nightstick is old, but the Battlemasters aren't exactly a huge improvement in articulation plus none of them are Nameswapped Toy-only Autobot Targetmaster (Porsche type)'s actual partner. Nightstick is, or is at least the closest we've got without straight-up using the recreated G1 mold.

If he does, he may be a retool of Firedrive. I don't see why not, Blowpipe and Aimless are related as well.

Following our last news post regarding this new "Generations Selects" toyline (previously called "Select Series"), we finally have new images of the first two releases, Deluxe Class Red Swoop and Ricochet! These two figures are redecos of Power of the Primes Swoop and Jazz respectively. Red Swoop is based of the original G1 toy's colors (which can be found on the stock renders for the Power of the Primes toy), while Ricochet is meant to evoke the Headmasters character Stepper.

Details on these new figures from Hasbro:
Transformers Generations Selects:

Generations Selects is a fan-dedicated collection of figures featuring special edition, limited release versions of Transformers characters. They’re mail-order only, shipped in special packaging exclusive to this line. We launched this line for our fans to expand their collection and make it truly unique.

Power of the Primes Dinobot Red Swoop:

The original 1985 Transformers toy release of Swoop had red deco. TFans can get a Swoop with red deco inspired by the original G1 toy. You won’t find it in stores!

Power of the Primes Ricochet:

Ricochet deco is based on the 1987 Targetmaster, known in Japan as Stepper. It has the character’s classic flame deco, as well as sleek gold rims and gold accents.

Both figures are limited-release and mail-order only.

Additionally, the figures are also up for preorder at Entertainment Earth, and appear to be exclusives! Each are $19.99 and will start shipping out February 2019.

Autobot car transforms from sportscar to a robot with a fist and a blaster. Black and gold car inspired by the super-rare Japanese Targetmaster toy Stepper.

Red Swoop's description:

I 100% agree. I didn't care for Jazz, but that Ricochet scheme has really made the mold shine. The white on Jazz was overbearing and there wasn't enough black to break it up.

Ricochet/Stepper looks fantastic! My only gripe (and this is really only a personal issue I take with the figure) is that it has the correct white hands. You heard me. I'm disappointed because the color of the hands is correct. I was hoping they would do what they did with Power of the Primes Jazz and do the fists in the "opposite" color. PotP Jazz has white hands when they should be black. I wanted them to do Ricochet with black fists so I could just swap them with Jazz's, giving Jazz proper black hands and Ricochet white. Well, that plan is out the window, unfortunately. I'm still DEFINITELY getting this Ricochet figure, though. We're getting ever closer to having complete combiner teams for every Combiner Wars/Power of the Primes torso, folks!

I'll be using "Red Swoop" as a Deluxe version of Titan Master Ptero from Titans Return. That's yet another character we can add to the pool of potentional arms and legs for combiners. We're getting ever closer to having complete combiner teams for every Combiner Wars/Power of the Primes torso, folks!

I wish I could've had time to mull over the details but I snatched them up fast. I was afraid dawdling would've cost me. Now, of course, they'll appear cheaper somewhere else.

I snagged them quick as well. Mainly because I want Inferno Cab to have a symmetrical combiner with Jazz and blue Swoop :-P

I was interested in these before we found out ET will be the exclusive carrier AND Riccocet doesn't come with a Targetmaster.

Just two dollars more at BBTS, though, which I think is a reasonable price.

actually BBTS would be the cheaper option for me, with $4 flat rate shipping (as opposed to EA's $6.95 shipping plus $1.45 tax for being in CA).

I pre-ordered Riccochet. Swoop looks great, but I don't need another one. Lets just hope there are more select series down the line...A Chromia & Greenlight release with their combiner functionality in tact would be amazing!

I was wondering about their shipping, as I've never ordered from them before.

TFSource also has them for $21.99, so you could potentially even get them with free shipping if you have other items.

Still no interest whatsoever in Red Swoop (he doesn't even have the toy-accurate head, lame), but Ricochet looks amazing. I was expecting him to look good, but not THIS good. Preordered immediately, and looking forward to how many other Selects are coming.

These look great!
I went ahead and jumped on Ricochet. I don't have any version of that character in my collection, and this one looks super cool.
Swoop looks nice too, but I'm happy with my Bloop.

I'm excited to see what else they do with this series.
CW Sideswipe and Ratchet. PLEEEEEEEZEEE?

And more Ladybots too!

I'll wait on Ricochet, because of a possible, detrimental problem of that mold: clear plastic car shell. Red Swoop... no toy accurate head? What gives?

I too wish Red Swoop had the visor headsculpt. That would make him even more distinct as a potential separate character. Mine shall be Titans Return Ptero. Now I just have to figure out which combiner team he goes with. :-?

It probably comes down to mold layout. If it's any consolation Jazz's hands being white plastic means they should take well to dyeing.

My hopes for this line:
* Combiner-limb Sideswipe from the CW Breakdown mold (To complete the homage to "Masquerade")
* Combiner-limb Windcharger from either the same, the Wheeljack variant, or the Dead End mold (Again, to complete the homage to "Masquerade")
* Scorn (retooled from Grimlock)
* G2-colors Shuttle Blastoff to correct Combiner Wars G2 Bruticus
* G2 Defensor to round out the Combiner Wars G2 stuff
* Amalgamous Prime with Waverider Decoy Armor
* Regular releases of the other relegated Prime Masters, again with Decoy Armor ideally

I wouldn't mind that, actually. It could help me pretend that Red Swoop and Blue Swoop are different characters. Like Jet Blast Off and Shuttle Blast Off. *Shrug emoji*
