Because there is no Lobclaw repaint in BWII.

I still think they'll eventually do a separate release of Red Lobclaw, for the Gimlet lover in BWII.

I'm actually disappointed that God Neptune is coming so soon, since I'm probably going to remain laid off until well after the lockdowns are lifted, and will have to pay secondary market prices for all 6 G1 Seacons later on, and there's no telling where or when those prices will stabilize given more pressing global economic concerns.

It would be cool if we can get a repainted Lobclaw as a standalone exclusive. Like it was said, the mold is already made. Is repainting it not worth the cash it would bring in? Personally, I don't know anything about BW2, but I think that version of the Seacons looks better than the pink and teal.

My TFSource order for the last two shipped out today. It's annoying, but it's only $40 in the grand scheme of things, so I'm not going to beat myself up about it. I was more afraid of getting stuck paying eBay prices than overpaying at TFSource.

TFSource finally processed my Overbite, so now I've got the last two Seacons paid for. Now all I gotte do is pick out some more stuff from them to get the free shipping on orders over $150.

If they do a Lobclaw repaint down the line, what.if they decided to fully realize their original intent and include some form of Rockbuster as the 7th member ;)

Yes originally God Neptune was going to be a 7 member team with Rockbuster ( a repaint of BW Predacon Razorclaw), but the idea was dropped, and Rockbuster ended up as a maximal in isolation in BW Neo.

It was an early catalogue pic from BWII in 1998, probably several months before the actual God Neptune toy came out. That's 22+ years ago, I couldn't find the pic, even in the wayback machine, but my search skills aren't the greatest. I'd love to see it again, because I cant remember exactly how they thought they were going to make the crab connect. If anyone can find it, I'd be much obliged. I'm many things, but a liar isn't one of them.

Dvandom's website has some old 1998 scans from TV Magazine, but I'm not seeing anything about the Razorclaw mold connecting to the Seacons.

Doing a more thorough search, myself, I just went through my own scans from TV Magazine and Comic Bun Bun that were included with Karyuudo Fansubs's release of BWII, and the only images those magazines show of the Seacon toys feature only the normal five members and no sign of the Razorclaw mold.

I don't think there's anything actually preventing them from making a repainted Lobclaw toy. Just make a comic about how or why it works.

Like with Headmaster Blur or a combining team of Dinobots it's only non canon until it happens.

Of course that's not what happened. Which is also fine.

Depends on how Takara want to do it, they may just want to keep it as the team was in BW2 and not rock the boat too much or they can just throw the reveal of a lobclaw in BW2 colours out later. I'm going to go with the former mind then the later.

Who can say how Takara's thinking goes...

I do not understand you people; after months of complaining last year about how much the king Poseidon set was going to cost for all six figures, now you're complaining about this more budget friendly set not having the sixth figure and jacking up the price :BANG_HEAD: :HEADHURTS:

Oh I wasn't complaining, it doesn't matter to me either way as I can't afford it  I was just responding to the comments that seemed to say that Takara should have included the sixth member.

I like that Scylla in the comic looks super happy, but the figure's face has that look like she looking at someone who just asked her out and she replied "you disgust me. You're not worthy of my time."

Ya'll know what the biggest irony is? The storyline of the Selects manga has so far been adding in so much new material to the Japanese G1 lore that they absolutely could find a way to work in a new addition to Halfshell's crew.

And yet, the thing the manga has focused itself on adding to the lore the most has instead been the Primus Vanguard and (as I'm dubbing it until we get a more official name) the primordial universe.

So the "Lobclaw" in the original silhouette teaser was a misidentified Overbite/Seaphantom... Like I said... Speaking of Lobclaw, him missing from the set is accurate to the original BWII set, and with TakaraTomy, accuracy to the source material trumps everything. That's why Henkei Lambor and Alert had the supercharger missing compared to Universe Sideswipe and Gen. Red Alert

Surprised they went the extra mile with Scylla, new chest and head (possibly gang-molded with Tentakill's) and reusing PotP Moonracer's hands, upper arms, and the whole legs(!).

OK, can someone explain to me why God Neptune looks proportionally better than King Poseidon, despite being made from the same molds?

His pose? His colors making for a better silhouette? Sea Phantom as an arm in place of Lobclaw? The lack of the sixth member providing less clutter to his look?

So after my much lamented kerfuffle and moment of brain damage of cancelling the last two seacons like an idiot, I was thinking: what part of the big weapon does Tentakill give? Was thinking, if all goes wrong I could get Overbite and ditch Tentakill. That would make me lose the 'Targetmaster' option but I'd have a slightly different team with God Neptune, as that one would have Scylla and lack Lobclaw.

And yes, I'm such a sucker for beast modes and combiners that I'm considering God Neptune.

You bet that if I get him he's getting some reprolabels sticks to display those BW icons.

Although, in the cartoon, they treated themselves as an independent faction, much like Insectrons who likewise viewed themselves as neither Maximal nor Predacon (despite their toys being marketed as the former).
