As far as variants go, do you think one could be in the pipeline for Ark? A redeco with a Supreme head could work as an Animated homage. But how about one for the silver/white colour scheme of the comic book Ark?

New mold or Scourge repaint?

Main line or Selects or not at all?

I'd totally pay leader price for this voyager and some Alpha Trion-themed accessories. And I mean literally this one, same mold and paint job. Good stuff ;)^

Thanks!

Great idea! And Hasbro makes more money with all the repaints they sell. The only problem is that there might not be much of any demand for a silver Ark. Repaints like Black Zarak have history and media. While you are technically right, I can't imagine there is much demand for a silver Ark. A $30 voyager on selects I could see all day long. But a $150 Titan, I wouldn't think so. Good pull though... The more I look at it the more I want it... but it is so similar. I guess I could see it for like SDCC... hmmm...

They have kind of painted themselves into a corner with Ark. While they love to make the most of each mold, he is essentially a costly one-off. Guardian Sentinel, Spreem, Metrotitan, Gigastorm, Black Zarak, Brave Maximus, Grand Maximus. All of the other Titan Class robots have counterparts and redecos. It is just cost prohibitive.

Titan Class Predaking is sad he's been forgotten...(didn't even get a Unite Warriors redeco like Devy)

If it isn't: A Starship, a Base or a City. It shouldn't be considered a "Titan Class" robot. [-(

Price points don't care for things like that ;)

The Ark could be severely remolded into Armada's Tidalwave, PS2 version.

I still wish some live action bots would get the selects treatment. I have longed for the SS Prime in his Nightwatch colors. there are lots of cool alternate paint schemes they could do for Selects

Takara Mercenary Soundblaster was both charged and shipped on the same day. A bit back, I ordered the in-stock Marvel Legends Hydra Trooper and it shipped out right away. This is a new experience when compared to the last 18 months or so. Hope anyone else who order Merc Soundblaster receives notification soon ;)^

I didn't order it, but I'm glad it's shipping. This is the last of the TT Selects for now. It would be cool if more are revealed in the future, but it is nice for once that all that have been announced are out.

I believe the next item of Selects overall which should be coming out is Transmutate. I hope to see a charge/shipping notice soon

Same. Transmutate's order page says August 1st, and Soundblaster said the 22nd with today being the 23rd so hopefully in a week or so.

I passed on Kingdom Ark, but I would absolutely buy a Selects silver Ark. Even if those side panels don't get fixed.

Just checked again on Pulse, and looks like the date changed sometime in the last day or so to 9/1/21 (:| . Yet, I'm seeing other U.S. based sellers on eBay that already have it.

Boo! That blows. It has been available for people in the UK for months now as well. I wonder why Pulse is always the last to receive stock :BANG_HEAD:

I finally received Takara Selects Soundblaster, and while he had an outer Takara Selects black box the inner box looks like the regular Siege 35th Anniversary Soundblaster box

That's because he's a normal Siege figure in Japan. Only Hasbro is selling him as a Takara Selects figure.

I thought that was the Decepticon-badge Soundblaster, not Mercenary-badge Soundblaster?

Japan never got the Decepticon-badged one. The Takara Merc-badged one is their counterpart release to the Hasbro Con-badged one, which Hasbro then decided to release back over in here as a Takara Selects release when it wasn't one over in Japan.

In fact, you know all those ID numbers that the Takara Selects have? The ones that begin with "TT-GS"? Those numbers aren't actually used by Takara, as it's Hasbro who gave them those ID numbers for their imports of all the Takara Selects, when Takara themselves have given their Selects no ID numbers at all.

In the case of this Soundblaster, however, they have, but it's "SG-EX", with "SG" denoting Siege rather than Selects. The ID number TT-GS12 was given to it by Hasbro, to differentiate it from Hasbro Soundblaster have already been ID'd as WFC-S63. In a sense, this means that the War For Cybertron Trilogy Soundblaster toy has three different ID designations across its two versions' three releases:
  • Hasbro Soundblaster released by Hasbro in Siege: WFC-S63
  • Takara Soundblaster released by Takara in Siege: SG-EX
  • Takara Soundblaster released by Hasbro in Selects: TT-GS12

Some nice new images were posted on the HK-TF Facebook group. They are in hand images of the upcoming Transformers Generations Selects WFC-GS26 Voyager Artfire and Nightstick. Artfire is a redeco of Kingdom Inferno which and his Targetmaster Nightstick is a redeco of Siege Singe. He also comes with four blast effects. This toy is still available for preorder at $36.99 and he should ship out in September this year.

Nice for those that want it, but I prefer the Generations version, as it's got more detailed apps (such as the Japanese text for "fire department" on the sides of the cab.

Looks great. I chose not to pick up Kingdom Inferno once I actually saw one in store, but I do want to support any Japanese character release I can. Even though Pulse currently has this scheduled for November, I'm still looking forward to it.

Always felt sorry for Artfire. Next to the uniform cohesiveness of Inferno and Grapple, even his Masterpiece figure looks like a mis-coloured knock-off. Then I remember Kingdom did the wrong Inferno and black-out from man-child rage.

Congrats to any Artfire fans out there. At least he'll come with a targetmaster.
