Soundblaster is back in stock at pulse
I had a freaking horrible time ordering it because PayPal isn't working on their site rn and they're not taking debit cards for preorders apparently. I was trying to preorder goldbug with soundblaster and I was gonna cancel for free shipping but no luck

So I had to pay shipping this time and thats a bummer. Had to chat with customer service like 10 times before I finally got the order in

To my knowledge Pulse has never accepted Paypal for Pre-Orders, only for in stock items. Not sure why Debit/Credit cards would not be working, as that is the primary method of payment. May just be a temporary glitch.

I think the reason is that Pulse doesn't charge on pre orders until the item is ready to ship. Previously (under Hasbro Toy Store), if an item was on pre-order for more than 90 days, PayPal would cancel the order, this is their way of getting around that.

I pretty much tried to make the purchase asap before it went out of stock again. Ended up paying $56 so that's a bummer but I'll be happy to have my very first Soundblaster. And it'll be different enough from Netflix Soundwave so I'll get over the hassle

Hopefully if anyone else wanted this version of Soundblaster they get their chance now

I was contemplating cancelling my Selects Galvatron, but then re-read RG1 back 2 weekends ago, and I was reminded that I love that insane Galvatron, and thus kept the preorder. That one will be my definitive RG1 insane Galvatron

He was 1 of my favorite characters when I read the G1 comic back in the 90s. Just totally nonstop insane, but at the same time has a grand plan to take down Unicron. I'm definitely looking forward to getting this figure, I have been since Kingdom Galvatron was even announced, because I knew if Selects got Galactic Man and G2 Megatron, we were gonna get this version of Galvatron sooner or later. Now if only we got a blue Perceptor...

I actually felt that UK Galvatron I was even more insane and ambitious than the US Galvatron II. It sure helps that he had a personal story arc that spanned three whole years and was the primary antagonist for much of the UK-only issues, spanning a big 42-chapter saga (more if you include the issues related to his story but in which he does not appear).

It even took reality itself to kill him.

Not sure if this belongs here or in legacy discussion but chefatron put up a review of Silverstreak/Blue Bluestreak and looks like it's with Smokescreen's body

Then clearly his new name should be Bluescreen, where he can be the acrh nemesis of 1990's computers.

I keep forgetting this toy, and Road Rage (shown months ago), still haven't been officially revealed by Hasbro yet. (was looking for their release date on Pulse...)

Through trial and error the amount of figures affected has been reduced to 1 every couple years, even then they're unintentional and above all unanticipated like UW Motormaster. Problem is, there are a lot of factors for that kind of fragility, some unknown even. The only safeguard against it is using no metallic flake at all and stick with flat colors. >:oP

^True, seems like breakage from painted transparent plastic parts is more of an issue currently.

Because people overestimate how much "give" it has before breaking. Though in their defense, Hasbro is partially at fault for using it for large pieces of any given figure, up to whole car shells.

Yea... Would hate to buy a brittle $170 figure...

I'm not sure about that. ER Soundbarrier is a classic example. The fact that TT had the nerve even to joke about it in the Manga tells you something. I didn't make any unrealistic poses with it, just normal range of motion, and the legs snap of...??? Fortunately he was plentiful and inexpensive when it happened, so I got another, and am treating both it, and Shieldron very gently.

But yeah, so many Datsun Brothers windshields have snapped, just in normal transformation, that isn't cool.

Siege and/or ER Datsuns? Wow, I didn't realized they homaged the G1 toys like that.

I only ever had that happen once, to my G1 Prowl a long time ago.

I can't speak to original TF toys, as I've not handled any of them in many years, but it's been pretty bad with ER. This is just one instance, I've read and seen pics of other bad QC experiences with the ER Datsuns:

I meant to write this previously, but since I've had my ER Prowl, he's taken a header off a high bookshelf onto a hardwood floor on 3 separate occasions and not a scratch. Not that I care to test his durability any further.

I'm not that courageous either, but I have all 4 ER datsuns and have transformed them quite a bit without any issue.

I recently got the Generations Select Galactic Man. I really love these colors. Better than vanilla Shockwave. But as good as he is, it's even better with Reprolabels. It took me almost a whole day to apply the stickers. The results are pretty neat and I applied many as I liked. Here's the result:

After the upgrade, Galactic Man is now Astro Magnum (A.K.A Shackwave). Normal on sled is still super cool.

Image

Super mode is bad-ass as ever.

Image

Dat light-piping...

Image

Gun mode (yes, GUN mode) is nice and even have a laser effect.

Image
Image

I adore that super battleship mode.

But one more thing that repro set allow is to give him 2 more modes.
Animated Longarm!

Image

Longarm's altmode is a walking tower of some sort. Maybe a forcefield unit?

Seriously, that's a very fun set! I highly recommend. :APPLAUSE:

Finally got charged for Transmutate. Hopefully it will ship soon, and should arrive in about 10 days. It is also in stock currently on Pulse.
