Excellent, There is the rest of the Abdomen. As for whether the Spiders will be retools or brand new molds, time will tell.

As an aside, maybe it is just me, but after Blackarachnia, I really hope the next MP Beast Wars figure isn't Tigatron or Tarantulas. Waspinator or Rhinox perhaps?

Terrorsaur is the one I'm looking forward to the most. Especially as I only had his Transmetal version back in the day. My thought would be, if the selections are made on character popularity (also perhaps that Takara wouldn't release three Predacons in a row) for who is most likely to be next. I don't think Terrorsaur has popularity over Rattrap or Waspinator, for example.

Blackarachnia looks pretty damned good in color. As said earlier, I hope there's not any issue like BW-Megatron.

Why would they make two diffetent toys for an 80s lambo? Essentially the same alt mode??

This is a great point. In the spiders case not only are they not the same bot mode, but they aren't even the same beast mode. Saying they should be the same because they're both spiders would be like saying Bumblebee and Prowl should share parts because they're both cars.

People tend to also forget Cheetor and Tigatron have entirely different alt modes as well and just focus on their similar bot modes.

Personally I do hope Tigatron and Tarantulas are next just so we can put an end to the debates, speculations, and assumptions.

Wonder when TT will announce the next few mps :-?

I'm hoping we get a break from MP announcements for a bit. We already have 4 currently revealed and upcoming, we don't need to get too ahead of the horse

And wow, Blackarachnia looks clean from behind too! Coming out nicely

MP-46 Masterpiece Blackarachnia Spider Beast Mode Revealed

Now that the 2019 Shizuoka Hobby Show is open to the public, Takara has added the beast mode for their Transformers MP-46 Masterpiece Blackarachnia to their booth. We can see from the side angle that the bot mode was clearly the favoured mode, as has been the case for all Beast Wars MPs so far. Of course the minimal panels to hide the robot kibble means we do get a sleeker and less kibbly robot mode. We have an image of the back of the robot mode as well which shows she is quite clean there even though the beast mode kibble is there. To give you the most info possible, below the images are also a list of accessories and price.

I hate to say it, but that beast-mode looks plain bad. I can see a lot of people who buy this are going to leave it in robot-mode.

Just as I feared. Still I do hope there is still a bit of mistransformation.

I am sure there is some mistransformation but not enough to suddenly make the legs disappear. Remember who everyone was 100% certain MP 45 had to be mistransformed?

Oh, it ain't the robot legs I mean, I mean all the panels unconnected and the squashed look of the spider body and the robot arms not quite angled right/tucked away properly and the connector pieces for the spider legs misaligned, and...

Know what? They really weren't even trying to transform it right, were they? #-o

Is MP-46 going to include that base or are we expected to steal it from Dinobot again....

This is Takara not hasbro. They don’t display stuff mistransformed. That’s her alt mode.

Everyone said the same about Bumblebee 2.0 and guess what? That was bumblebee 2.0 and this is Black Arachnia

She's a butterbug. Everything looks good but her bug. :-D

Seriously I'm getting it just for the robot mode, unless I have a different version (such as shadow panther) my MPs pretty much stay displayed in their robot modes anyway.

I think it looks fine. A bit mistransformed in the head area, where it looks as though the robot mode arms are meant to connect to the beast head and maybe fell loose, but I mean come on. What they’ve accomplished is nothing short of amazing, once again.

truth

Also I was trying to make a point that they didn't include one with Megatron and am still not happy with that.

This should come with 2 bases... just saying.

oh NO

That’s just... that’s just awful. Our only hope that this is mistransformed, it sort of seems that way, especially around the back abdomen and the way the spider legs are positioned on the arm.

Let’s pray, because the bot mode on her is just so amazing.

oh lord. maybe it'd be accurate if she was squahsed by a rock in beast mode, but good lord man. that takara remold of the animated figure looked better.

Not really surprised. Let's be honest with ourselves, there's really no place on a show-accurate Blackarachnia to hide the beast kibble she'd need to make a convincing spider.
