Any chance for a segue ;)

I think the various qualities of Plastic on both Dinobot and Megatron would imply that Takara are using lesser quality materials than they used to.

Takara has always been kinda hit or miss on materials quality in the Masterpiece line, from what I understand. The third one they ever did, MP-3 GreenscreamStarscream, is infamously delicate. MP-5 Megatron's transformation clips are delicate (admittedly that's also a function of size) and his metal parts are prone to rust and tarnish. MP-9 Rodimus Prime (or Convoy if you insist) had frailty issues...

They didnt remain 20$. It just looks that way because they gave them a similar name but those warriors are just fast action battlers, which were always at a lower price point than deluxes. So we see price hikes everywhere, including these fast action battlers.

I like the stand. :D And I think they did the best they could with the spider mode. I'll be transforming her to robot mode as soon as I get her, anyway.

They are still the same size as deluxes though. I wasn't around when the 2007 Fast Action Battlers came out. So they were cheaper then? Eh. I have Fast Action Battler Blackout and it's a pretty decent and solid toy. The current year Cyberverse "deluxe" can't compare in quality and looks.

So, not only did the price increased, but the quality took a nosedive.
Thankfully, it seem Siege got their crap together because I never heard of any major issues in the line nor toys that were completely bad.

You were around for AOE, they had the same basic thing, remember the Power Attackers? That swoop confused a lot of people it was a traditional deluxe figure since they were the same size but cheaper.

These cyberverse figures are the same thing.

Oh yeah. But AoE overkilled it with re-releasing the same characters over and over again in all shape and sizes, there was a point were my mind activated a magic filter. So all I saw were the normal Deluxes, Voyagers, and Leaders while all the rest were blurred out like the naughty bits in Japanese porn. :HEADHURTS:

[Insert "Tie me up and suck me dry" joke here]

All awful jokes aside she's looking magnificent. I'm rather disillusioned with the MP brand nowadays but this? This will be mine. Heck, when even my mother (who falls into the "trukk not munky" camp with Beast Wars) thinks she looks awesome and that I should get her, you know you've got a winner.

New Images of Masterpiece MP46 Blackwidow Beast Wars AKA Blackarachnia

Thanks to our own fellow Seibertronian ZeroWolf and RacerCheetor we've located some new images of MP Black Arachnia in various poses in her robot mode. These are thanks to TakaraTomy on Twitter.

It appears a wise decision to focus on her robot mode as there has been quite a bit of hubbub about her beast mode. While her beast mode may be lacking in some respects, it's hard to deny that Masterpiece engineering, style, and detail have struck a home run with this anthropomorphized arachnid in her robot mode.

These also give us a great perspective on how she stacks up to the leaders of both the deplorable Predacons and the mighty Maximals. Check 'em out and let us know what you think in the forums. And as always stay tuned to Seibertron for the ultimate in Transformers news!

From TakaraTomy:
"We are accepting reservations for Beast Wars's "Black Widow", where Ryoka Inoki was in charge of the voice. We had Convoy and Destron cooperate to convey a sense of size (´-` )"
Link to TakaraTomy Mall for preorders: TakaraTomy Mall.

The first two images are from TakaraTomy, the additional images are from our fellow Seibertronian Racer Cheetor.

I think that annoyed stare is more because of the immature behavior.
