I just spotted the Fallen Leader OP at a local Target here in Missouri. Didn’t see Megatron.

Black Friday may be a day in the mirror, but you can still get your hands on Super7's Black Friday Exclusive Transformers ReAction Figures, exclusive to their web store. These surprise listings feature homages to both the Headmasters cartoon and the pre-Transformers Microman Microchange toyline, bringing collectors non-transforming 3¾" action figures of MC-20 Microscope, Stepper, Soundblaster, and MC-12 Gun Robo P-38. These are repaints of Super7's Megatron, Soundwave, Jazz and Perceptor figures.

Click on the images below to check out the listings at Super7's website.

It's unknown how limited these figures will be, so don't hesitate to grab them now from Super7's web shop if you're looking to add these exclusives to your ReAction collection.

I'm very excited about the 4 Black Friday Super7 Reaction Transformers that were revealed yesterday. I'm a bit confused as to why they used those names, though. There's a precedence for Magnificus so it's odd that they didn't make him a Decepticon and use that name (or at a minimum use the pre-Transformers product name but put a Decepticon symbol on him instead). Similar with Stepper. While it's great to see his Japanese name used for a Hasbro licensed product after all these years, I would have gone with his American-market name of Ricochet instead. I'm torn on the Black Megatron though. It's cool when used in conjunction with the Black Perceptor's name but I think I would have preferred something like Black Hole Megatron or Black Fusion Megatron or even Microchange Megatron. I have less of a preference for Megatron than I do for Decepticon Black Perceptor and Ricochet.

I think they don't know TFs too deeply. Although they knew enough that there was a black repaint of him, so ... what gives?

Maybe it's a weird license thing?

It's possible it's to emphasize they're not the same characters as their "parents", plus how many times have we gotten direct Microchange references, including names, like that?

Fwiw, their website lists the three that aren't Soundblaster as being versions of Megatron, Perceptor and Jazz. I just went with the product names from the cards for the news article.

Perhaps Megatron X a la Cyberverse?

They're getting a surprising amount of mileage out of that Megatron mold. Regular, toy, and black decos if I'm remembering right. So I wonder what they'll choose for Prime's next deco? Nemesis Prime? Ultra Magnus white? Powered Convoy blue? SG Purple? I suppose there's no shortage of choices that I'm sure they'll exploit.

including the 4BF releases, i bought the rest of wave 2 that i was missing plus Devastator via the S7 site.
I am really looking forward to getting these in hand all at once; the ActionMaster feels on these are pretty crazy.
Neo retro, of sorts.
As much as i enjoy them doing the cast they have so far, to do some AMaster only characters in this line would tie it all together nicely.

New Super7 Reaction Transformers Coming with Christmas Optimus Prime and Gold Lagoon Figures

Who out there collects the Transformers ReAction figures from Super7? These are the non transforming retro figures meant to emulate the Star Wars figures of old. They seem to have a fanbase spread much beyond the Transformers fan base. We know this since while I have yet to hear about much excitement within the community, the newly revealed Target exclusives sold out their preorders within minutes. They will be in stores in February 2022 though, so you have another chance at getting them then. These are the Gold Lagoon versions of Optimus Prime and Megatron.

But wait, there's more!

We also have a Facebook post form Super7 themselves unveiling their new Christmas themed Optimus Prime! this toy is due out in November. All these toys are around the 18$ mark. You can preorder this Christmas Prime at BBTS: https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/ ... ils/181059

Okay so these are absolutely pointless and dumb to me.

But I really like that candy cane blaster. If it was 5mm, I might even buy Santa Prime just for it.

I agree, as I wrote in the article, I feel the collectors of this line are not also transformers collectors. Which is interesting. While this line stars some of our hobby's main characters, it seems to exist outside of the hobby. Not sure if the Funko Pops line is similar.

I buy them, which usually counts for nothing at all, but I don't collect licensed TF products carte blanche. I keep them on the card and will have them take up a wall someday, which is what I already do with the old HoCs. They're stunning on the card. I wasn't into them until I bought Grimlock just because it was Grimlock, but I fell in love.

Now some of their other stuff like the Cyborgs? Full pass, not for me.

I am in exactly the same boat as Scotty.
Keeping these MOSC for future display on a wall.
I think they look amazing and the ActionMaster feels are pretty strong for me, tbh.
Cyborgs and the like, not as interesting to me, which keeps my wallet in line.

Funko, only have the 1 Convention exclusive Grimlock, and that was because it was crazy cheap @ Gamestop; $7, i believe.
Not really of interest to me otherwise but do appreciate the efforts on Funko part to get them out there.
The only other one i may get is ShockWave and that is mainly to display next to the Mighty Muggs version i got years ago for cheap as an interesting, to me at least, comparison in aesthetics.

Well, I got one of these little things. I bought the Santa Prime because finally a Christmas TF, and christmas is my favorite holiday.

Having him in hand, this is still something I like the idea of owning, but do not recommend at all. This thing was $19.32 after tax, with the $4 BBTS shipping, so like $23ish for the whole thing. It is maybe worth $8 if that, this thing is on par with Cyberverse scouts. It is just not good. I am glad they made a Santa Prime, but this will be the only ReAction figure I get, no doubt.

We have some fun news for ReAction figures fans with images for the next wave. This one features Arcee, Grimlock, Prowl and Reflector all with a very G1 Sunbow aesthetic. While they all cost $17.99, Grimlock is substantially bigger than the rest, as you can see from the packaging images. These are already available for preorder at a few websites including BBTS. These are due out this month.

This Arcee, compared to the Masterpiece's torso *and* the Bumblebee Movie Arcee's face, seems "Uplifted". :-D
