Here's a reminder of how far Hasbro's Toy Fair presentation has come ...

Here are a few pictures from Toy Fair 2007, my first visit (and possibly the first ever "Hasbro Fan Media Day", can't remember). It was extremely memorable trip since it was my first time to New York City. However, I had forgotten how few products were displayed until I just took a peak at the gallery. We've come along way during the past 13 Toy Fairs. I think people have forgotten what it used to be like versus the onslaught of products we are presented with each and every year currently.

Highlights include the Movie Ultimate Bumblebee, Movie Leader Class Optimus Prime, Optimus Prime Voice Changer Helment and the Transformers Arm Blaster. We were not allowed to take pictures of the other upcoming Transformers products or the Activision game. No wonder why I used to have time to photograph Hasbro's other brands while I was there, something I absolutely do not have time to do any more at this event.

Back then, Transformers was still mostly a "one line at a time" deal. Now, in 2019, Hasbro is juggling three simultaneous main lines with War for Cybertron: SIEGE, Studio Series, and Cyberverse. That's not to mention the tail end of the Transformers: Bumblebee movie line, the BotBot figures, Masterpiece figures, and way more merchandising and licensing than ever before. We all thought Transformers was big in the 80's with G1, but it is now that the brand is living a true Renaissance.
