I recently purchased a loose RID 2001 Optimus Prime. When I got it, I realized that there was some chrome chipping on the smaller robot's chest. The chipping is on the red chrome, and I was wondering if there were any good ways for me to restore colored chrome on my Prime. Thanks!

Vacuum metallizing service, but in this case it's cheaper to buy the part or another loose copy of the toy.
You could do a thin overcoat of Alclad over a red base coat as a possible solution, but Alclad and other similar products are really tricky to work with. There's also Molotow liquid chrome but it's really only good for silver, a clear red over it will dull it. Also dulls from literally any handling.
Probably easiest to find a metallic red paint that's kinda sorta close and call it a day. Vac metal chrome on plastic is unfortunately a very specialized manufacturing process and not easy to restore at home after damage.

Well, whatever you do it's best to clear-coat it afterward.
