Yes! My red Sideburn is the same way, also kept in vehicle mode probably for good. I don't dislike his robot mode, but he is 1 of the few rare figures whose transformation just annoys me. But that red Viper looks sweeeet!

I never had much trouble transforming him, but then again Sideburn (the blue one) was my first ever TF. I have the red version now along with his other "Super Mode" brothers, and they're really fun figures.

Slight tangent but between RID Prowl/Mach Alert and the OTFCC Sideswipe and Sunstreaker, you could technically have the police, red and yellow decos of Diaclone Sunstreaker represented by the RID Prowl mold. Which seems strangely satisfying.

My Sideburn will likely never again see robot mode. The balljoint that connects the roof / shield to his arm just cracked into many little pieces. I don't want any other translucent parts to break off.
