Cybertron Longrack. During the Cybertron line, TakaraTomy retooled four Armada molds into homages to G1 and Beast Wars: G1 Blurr, BW Buzz Saw, G1 Runabout and BW Neo Longrack.

Transformers Cybertron Longrack Gallery

Hasbro subsequently brought them to the US, while adding Optimus Prime and Demolishor with retooled keys to the mix. The four were re-released in a single set during Universe 2008, with a redeco of that Prime.

I dug up a few of BW toys, namely Armordillo, Iguanus, and Neo Hydra and thoroughly enjoying their spring-loaded transformations. I also have Snapper and an incomplete Insecticon back home and missing them lots.

I really want to find Buzzsaw. Then he and Longrack can be rivals in vehicle form. Plus, Buzzsaw now has a special place in my collection, so it would be nice to get his other toy too.

And hell yeah to springloaded transformations. The Beast Wars basics are what 1-steps today should strive to be. Razorbeast is the best, but I find Snapper to be incredibly adorable

Would anyone count the BWII vehicles as BW toys? I got Thrust and Dirge, as well as 3 of the 4 Autorollers (missing Autocrusher) that would fall under the auto-transformation category.

I loved the BW basics, so posable and weren't hindered by their gimmick.

Thanks for the information on the homages, wasn't even aware of them!

I would. they had the branding, and showed up in the show. They count!

Same. They were so charming. I had a few but to this day I do have a favourite... although it is pretty subtle

I think they were. Further cemented by some of them being converted into Beasts themselves.

Someday, I will own all 5 of those. They are kinda like the holy grails of the Beast Hunt to me

I have two of them. Hellscream and Carnivac Max-B. Solid additions, next to their contemporaries in the Wolfang and Cybershark molds respectively. Although the cyber-ised additions to their bodies, do make them really unbalanced. Especially Hellscream and his turbine arm.

Good luck with the hunt for the rest!

And the completion of this guy was all thanks to our own Siebertron, who took the battered husk that I had and transformed it with all of the missing parts!

In hindsight I wonder why T30 Waspinator didn't get retooled into BW Buzzsaw with a new head? Considering most, if not all modern molds tend to be thought of with retools and redeco in mind...maybe there is a unused Buzzsaw head on that mold after all.

I found it strange how most of the Transmetal redecos, barring Cheetor, Terrorsaur and Primal, were not made into different characters?

It would have been nice that's for sure, considering all the botcon repaints of him.

Makes me wonder who Rhinox's alternate head was though too

At TFcon back in October, I picked up the last of the Beast Wars Neo original molds: Bazooka!

He has some pretty cool stuff about him, mainly the pose of the beast mode. He is set in a sweet defensive position, and I like the unique posture. also really enjoy the colors.

Transformation is clunky and the robot mode is pretty kibble heavy, one of the few that kinda bugs me, but he's still pretty dang good. Glad I did not spend the ebay prices though

I just got Blue Convoy from BBTS. Now I have a mammoth problem.

I've fallen under the BW Neo spell- Longrack, Mack Kick, and Stampy are in the mail from a fellow collector.

Man I really wish Hasbro would consider doing a 'new Beast Wars' line, both of new and old designs. There is a certain charm and unique styling to the four main BW style (vanilla, Transmetal, Transmetal 2 and Fuzor) and the overall more organic style of even the robot mode, with rounder or more 'flowing' limbs rather than the cubic chunk of G1/CHUG, combined with the often goofy animal parts sticking out as kibble.

Very very nice!

I'm getting my 2nd Big Convoy mold next year with the Matrix Buster, it is a great mold.

Neo has some really fun stuff. I can't wait to hear your thoughts on Longrack

Funny you should mention BW Neo. I haven't been big on BW, really. I started with a small Optimus Primal, Depthcharge, and Rampage. Then Korean Big Convoy caught my eye; Ultra Mammoth and Mammesis Prime soon followed.

A few days ago I scooped up the Blue Big Convoy repaint, and then got a nice deal on Neo Longrack, Mach Kick, and Stampy. I think these guys just pushed me over the edge, or at least closer to it. Love these more realistic beast modes. Now I want BW Neo Survive.

Neo is so good. May have some kibble issues, but they are fantastic.

Neo has some of my favorite Beasts, period.

2,8 & 9 would be mine.

... Still waiting for (at time of writing) 13 transformer Tardis>Doctor variants, Takara!

As far as BW Time travellers go. It is weird that Mainframe never went further with the concept via a specific character, beyond Starscream's nebulous existence in Season One.

Given his relative obscurity and also how they are pretty much the only 2 Time-controlling Transformers, I would love to write a story where Heinrad becomes the next Vector Prime, his successor if you would

What about if it was a time loop where Vector Prime used to be Heinrad and goes to mentor himself before the end of the universe happens

I would totally be down for that too. I enjoy time stories where the future guy has to make sure his future happens, even if they don't realize they are making history happen (See MTMTE Brainstorm story, that is the perfect type of time travel story for me)

I love that Arc as well, features one of my favourite parts of the run when Magnus is talking to Megatron and comparing why they got Rodimus medals
