Which one is more movie accurate?

There are at least two ane one is the 39.99 one which looks close, but then there is the smaller one (about the size of RID scourge) that looks good to.

opinions please

Ohhhh movie accurate.. well, for me, I couldn't stand the thought of having an Optimus Prime fig that wasnt *towering* over my other autobot movie figures.. so i went for leader class (39.99 one).

Transformation wise, i don't know if either of the two, voyager or leader class are movie accurate transformations, when it comes to where the legs and arms come from, perhaps someone could point that out for sure.

voyager prime has some weird back pack thing going on, but leader class has a weird *kibble* thing going on on the back of his legs.. lol

Up to you I guess!

Both are sort of equally inaccurate. Leader prime has some thigh kibble. Voyager prime has a sort of back pack. I like Leader Prime a LOT. Voyager Prime is just okay. That's only my opinion of course. Neither is absolutely perfect to the movie design. Both are very good toys (leader being better).

Ahh beat to it. I was close.

Well its really your perspective as to which one is your favorite... and at the risk of seeming long winded as usual..I would like to give you a little review and you can make up your mind here in this thread versus going to each gallery and trying to find the exact image that can sway you..

I like the Robovision version from Target, its got a nice lighter blue coloring and metallic paint which makes the fanboy in me so very happy. Its smaller and more in line with the movie concept, being as how he is skinny and all. The dual guns also match the video game and is kinda cool too. Seeing as how we never saw those canons in the movie its not entirely impossible for him to not have them, considering that non of his toy incarnations came with his energon laced blade...

Then there is the regular released version of Voyager Prime in the original colors, whcih to me is nice as well. It's a little more darker in coloring and as far as I know there is no difference in the mold between this and the Robovision version..That said, the robovision suffers from some detailed paint that was missed on the upper leg/thigh area, and the shoulders, but its easy to add that paint in or just ignore it as I do..

Now not to be outdone, is the 39.99 Leader class Optimus Prime that you speak of. He is a nice figure indeed, and has a fair amount of articulation. though not as slim and sleek as the Robovision or the Voyager Prime, the leader class has his nice features as well. His transformation is more movie accurate and he doesn't suffer from a giant back pack and his thigh area is kinda shaped wierd which from certain angles makes him look off, not to mention the thigh kibble that impeads his positioning as well... His chest lights up and makes noises which is nice and the automorph features are cool too. his size and articulation are what makes him a great buy. His blocky shape is his only downfall, that is if your looking for movie accuracy in terms of proportions..Overall though, leader class is a nice figure.

though I own both the Robovision and Leader class I still hold out hope for them to make a Masterpiece for the high end Adult collector, but I will pick up the normal colored Voyager when I see him, and soon the Night watch as well, I'm a sucker for prime...Secretly though, I love the Robovision version..

As for which one to buy, well they have their good points and Bad points.. I just hope this helped you make a decision..

It's just too bad about that backpack thing, cuz I really do like the voyager otherwise. :-?

Love my Leader Prime though, even if he's kinda chunky in places. He seems nicely thought out (though I removed the batteries) in regards to the overall image from the movie.

Thanks for the help guys, those pics made my life a lot easier.
Both seem to have that heavy gear, but i think I might lean toward leader class

yeah what would have made that figure the absolute tops is if they made the back pack area, detachable via a switch or button of some sorts, then it would have been like a cool accessory versus a permanent part of the toy's back.. but still from the front, Voyager has more of the body style , but Leader is the best in terms of detail..

If they ever did a Masterpiece or Ultra Version, colored him chrome and witht he darker movie colors, with better proportions and no kibble problems, with accurate flames in the right places, accurate knee pads, accurate weapons, like the sword..and gave him the most accurate movie looks and transformation, that would be the best present to myself ever!!!

Now if only Megatron got the correct paint jobs... :-?

If he had his movie sword, I'd never stop giggling like a schoolgirl. I even looked at how hard it would be to modify that gun that comes out of his arm when his big gun rotates around. They have the perfect setup already for the sword with that retractable piece. Just change a mold or two..

Yeah Ultra--I'd have to go with the leader figure. He's just....awesome.. Funny thing about him is he's WAY harder to transform into his alt mode than into his robot mode. Lots of stuff to push together/get straight when going to alt mode, but worth it. Like most guys on here though, I prefer him in robot mode. He's by far the biggest figure I've ever owned.
