From the Snakasblogspot we have news of an officially licensed crowd funding project that is about to set a gold standard of Convoy reproductions with the new 35th Anniversary Celebration Convoy Command Box Set! This project comes with a multitude of extras sure to make any fan's spark simmer. Check out the details below from Snakasblog:

(Translated from Japanese)
"♦ "Convoy Command BOX" cloud funding acceptance started. The deadline is August 31.
The application for "Transformers35th Anniversary Convoy Command BOX" has been started.

The reception period is from 11 am on July 1 to August 31.

The price is 16,800 yen for the regular version. Limited 500 set first-served matrix set has become 21,800 yen. The matrix set is a story that the name of the applicant is described in "Super Complete". (There is no other difference)

It seems to be able to support the amount more than the default selling price.

If there is a plan approved by more than 2,000 applicants, and there are more than 3,000 applicants, additional returns are also available.

The contents of the set are as follows.

1. Convoy Golden Trophy Trophy with pedestal in gold plated version of the first convoy. The convoy can not be removed from the pedestal.

2.S.T.A.R.S. Crew Set. A reprint of the member set of the OFFICIAL FAN CLUB that has been recruiting since '85. TF Command Center, Members Card, T.F Badge, Poster and Transformers Book are listed as set contents.
(I think that it is the same as the distribution content of about 86, but the member's card is an initial version.)

3. Transformers super-complete collection it seems to be the content that dealt with the first generation and 2010."

The project is a cooperation with KunTV which has a slightly different breakdown of the prizes offered.
From KunTV:
"The contents are very gorgeous even if I celebrate the 35th anniversary of Transformers. It is a three-point set of [Convoy Golden Trophy], [S.T.A.R.S. member set], [Transformers Super Collection].
・Convoy Golden Trophy - Limited reprint of the dish that only parties involved in to commemorate the 3rd anniversary.
Because the number of productions at that time was rare, it is an item that was extremely difficult to obtain.
S.T.A.R.S. Member Set: T.F Command Center, Badge, Members Card, etc., is also a great revival.
・Transformers Super Collection "Tarebi-kun" if you say "Super Complete Collection". "Fight! Super robot life forms" and "2010" will be completely included in the Transformers Super Complete Collection.

In addition, the name of the first 500 people in the matrix set will be on the page of "Transformers Super Complete" magazine.
In addition, if you exceed 3,000BOX, you will also be able to keep an eye on the secret benefits until the end."

Who here is ready to plop down their hard earned Yen to grab up some of these cool items? As always share your views with the Seibertron crew and stay tuned for the latest in Transformers news!

Do you really want to?
Just buy a junker G1 Optimus, spray paint the thing Krylon gold, then GLUE/SCREW his feet on some bullcrap base. Then ask your nephew to paper craft a Telethran-1 computer with school cardboard and crayons.
There. You just saved 200$.

Seriously, that "collector item" is stupid.

The thing is actually "gold plated". Look like gold plating is cheap.
Still, it's just some crappy repaint that just can't function as a proper Transformers.
At least the Lucky Draws were REAL Transformers. Why perma-glued on a base? Why?

And the thing is CROWDFUNDED?
Tsk... #-o

Takara, just throw out the stupid trophy Prime and sell us the reissue S.T.A.R.S. stuff. It'll be much easier to cost justify that and people might actually want that part. But only if it comes without the $190 gold-plated dead albatross around its neck.

Somehow, I think it would be METAL as fok to walk around with suck a grim and gory accessory! :michaelbay:

Seriously, this. It could be a lower tier or something. If people want to pay for the useless bauble, so be it. But at least, Takara, give us the option for just the book stuff!

The base should come with a little placard. "Biggest waste of money!" Because that's what this is.
