HasLab Transformers War for Cybertron Trilogy UNICRON!!!

Hasbro and Takara have a new giant Unicron toy for us. As you will see in the images below, it towers over all other Transformers toys before it including the previous Titans. The price does as well, with them asking $574.99. Also, 8000 fans must agree to pay this by August 31 2019 or else the figure will
not go into production. Also, this is Hasbro Pulse, so international fans cannot participate. Hasbro is really banking on there being enough interest stateside first before getting the ball rolling on this one (could not resist).

Its for collectables stores. BBTS bought several extras of the previous Star Wars has Lab project to sell on their site since it wouldnt be sold anywhere else.

Why are they still using that ugly shade of baby blue? It was a bit darker in the movie.
Same with that mustard yellow. It was more of a yellow-orange.
And that silver is still too dark.
At least he's finally got green eyes this time.

Only four inches taller than Fort Max but treble(?) the price.
F'Off, Hasbro.
At that minimal scaling increase he should be worth $250 to $300. Full Stop.
It would be complete stupidity to pay what they are asking.

They have designed the Unicron that we would all love to own but made it so large that few will be able to justify the expense.
Halve the size and quarter the price and we will talk!

First off Haslab is USA exclusive from what memory serves, so like most of the world won't be getting it without jumping through loops. As much as I would love a Generations Scale Unicron but since they won't ship to the UK I can't, for the Price I cant.

For this price, none of us should have to.
He is in the Titan Class scale and that should be reflected in the price. I honestly hope they don't find those backers. That they don't even get close. Hopefully then Hasbro will get the message he is BEYOND overpriced.

$4.6 million to go into production! Are you kidding me, Hasbro?
That is a hell lot to get a toy into production in your Vietnam factory.
Please just produce it and sell it worldwide for half the price. I am sure HasTak can sell more than 16000 pieces if they do that. So you get your $4.6 million sales off one product all the same.
Squeeze the costs your factory because we want it but we can’t afford it.
I am sure Hasbro shareholders will be happy

So, a cursory check of the 'Bay turned up an Energon-era black-repaint Unicron, still in its package, for $450 (shipping is free). The next most expensive one was a regular Armada Unicron, still in its package, for about $396 (plus shipping). This was me deliberately looking for the most expensive ones I could find. So, unless this WFC Unicron comes with a compartment containing no less than $200 in cash, I don't think I'm willing to pay that much for super G1 accuracy. I mean, it's nice when it's there, but it's not high on my priority list when buying these figures, and it really seems to be the only thing this Unicron has over the previous version.

I'm surprised there are so many people who don't want it. Yes, the price is obscene, but I don't think it's unreasonable for what's being offered. It may only be three inches taller than Fort Max, but it looks significantly more complex. I've never seen anyone this upset about, say, 3P MP-scale combiners.
I'm not happy about the dent to my wallet, but I had already clicked the preorder button before I could come up with reasons not to.
I was hoping to get the Lego UCS Falcon someday, but I think that dream is over now, eaten by Unicron.

Holy **** that thing is ginormous. However I'm not sure HasTak can manage to get the funding done for this thing nor can the price be justified unless the quality is truly several steps above a regular retail Titan. I would have been fine with just a regular Titan-scale release of the guy.
Still. This is awesome in the old, awe-inspiring sense.

It's like they read my mind. It's everything I'd ever hoped for.
I didn't expect this to happen until 2021, after Scorponok, but I'm not gonna complain.
As for those saying he's overpriced, go try to design this guy yourselves. He's a beast, as are most of the movie characters, as they weren't designed with actual transformations in mind. Going from a sphere to a blocky robot is a lot harder to do than you might think.
Engineering aside this guy uses a lot more plastic than you think. Doubling the height of one of these guys actually means about 8 times the plastic. Obviously this guy is only about 20% taller, but that's not just 20% more metal and plastic.

It's nice to finally see the Transformers get some love form HasLab, shame it seems they are only going big on these things.
Unicron looks amazing and probably about as big as it could realistically be. It's out of my budget both financially and shelf space wise. Unicron isn't for me, but I do hope they hit their goal and keep making stuff like this.
I'm really hoping for playsets/dioramas from HasLab that can compliment my shelves not dominate them. As it stands much smaller bot like TR Trypticon lives on the floor and gets shuffled around as I need space.
Looks like they are also doing a "full sized"

If I could, I would. I see the size to complexity to potential worth the asking price. If it were 300, 400 or 450 - we'd still complain. Maybe hasbro are over estimating their market, but if Takara think people will pay the asking price for the new mp prime, this would be palatable to those...
