Could have been out of a job? Lots of stimulus checks? Received an inheritance? Who knows. Maybe just missed out or wasn't aware and now wants it. I can think of lots of reasons, same with any of us who miss something when it first comes out and then has to pay extra later.

Ya'll ordered one if not more. I'm well aware of possible reasons. Some folks may not even have been in the hobby during the window.

I asked the question in a way that was as honestly open as possible. I'm curious, not criticizing.

And I thought we answered just as honestly open. I certainly thought you were being sincere, at least.

Ah, the bane of the internet: the inability to view body language and hear voice inflection in communication.

Besides the arms, how closely does Unicron's transformation follow the scene from the movie?

I think that's the only thing. The planet's body became his torso, and his legs shot straight out from the back of the planet where his arms meet. But here, his robot mode is all bundled up inside the planet shells, which become a massive backpack.

Yea, from what I remember, getting the arms to transform like they do in the movie was the part that the team most wanted to recreate.

I can understand the kibble so I am fine with it. When you are tens of thousands of kilometers in size, it's a lot easier to hide the kibble in little nooks and crannies. The tech just doesn't exist for a completely accurate transformation, especially if you factor in all the little animation changes and such.

The one thing I wish they HAD done was having red LEDs in the abdominals with little windows that slid back to reveal them. That would have been cool.

Mine arrives tomorrow. Unfortunately I'm still stuck out of town for my pediatric clinical rotation so I won't get to feel him up until Thursday...

I would kind of add that the feet seem to mirror what we see in the film in terms of how they expand.

A bit of a tangent, but since it was made to accompany WFC Unicron:

Well, that's the odd thing. The original listing had its price, for which I made the required down payment. Then, when it came time for me to pay the rest, the number was higher than the original listed price, which I figured was added into the total to account for the shipping cost.

But then, when I got the email that said it shipped, the invoice listed the original price, and said shipping was "FREE", which certainly confused me.

I'm guessing the invoice said "FREE" because it was an order over $150 and all of their invoices for orders that high say that, when it really wasn't free in this exceptional case. I don't know the actual shipping amount since it would require a bunch of addition and subtraction calculations with at least three different numbers as they didn't tell me the shipping cost separately from the original cost.

Weird. But OK, tfsource has not done much to impress me lately, and this is just another oddity to add to it.

OK, for ya'll who have gotten the figure, a question:

How well do the little screw-hold-cover plug-ins stay in place? Would it be worth it to glue them into place or is it a really snug fit? I wanted to get input before inserting mine.

Mine stay in great, granted i pushed them out of the sprue thing, so part of the plastic remained on them giving the covers more friction

He's come home, and I love him. I haven't made up his room yet, but he has a nice place to stay, and he knows I'll take good care of him.

For anyone that already has their bot: once attached, are the spike strips removable? I'm thinking that the bot mode might look a bit cleaner with the strips removed and the planet mode pinchers tucked in downward.
If anyone would post a picture of how that would look, that would be very cool.
