Let's say, for some crazy reason, you had to get rid of your collection, and could only keep one figure, who would it be. What is the only Transformer that you will never part with, no matter what happens?


For me, I think it would be Binaltech Smokescreen.




Way back when, when this guy came out, it represented all my Hope's and dreams and wildest fantasies of where this franchise could go. And while yes, he has been surpassed and left behind in many ways, I still remember and feel that since of wonder I had back when he first came out.

If I could only save one, I'm saving him.

I actually had to get rid of pretty much my entire collection at one point when I was in a tight spot. A handful of figures survived but the one I made a point to not sell no matter what was generations Drift. I can't really explain it but he's my favorite character and I just love that figure.

ROTF Leader Prime. My first "Masterpiece", and my favorite toy out of my whole collection (Siege Voyager Prime is a very slightly close second, with ROTF Prime winning possibly by nostalgia).

Oof. Just ask me to choose between my children, why don't you? (Sophie's Choice flashback; also, I don't have kids (that I know of).)

Anyway, this is a tough choice, and honestly, if I was that hard up for money that I have to unload my collection, then they would all be in play. BUT. I would most likely save MP-01 and MP-09 for last. I know neither is popular anymore (MP-09 never was ), but they hold special meaning for me, for various reasons, mainly good memories. RoTF leader Prime would be very close behind. But the fact that he'd be easier to reacquire makes him slightly more expendable.

I've been in that exact situation except the figures that survived did so out of sheer luck As they were in my son's room. The figure I would have kept hold of would have been Magnaboss but fate intervened on that one before hand (I hate it that Silverbolt was made out of gold plastic. Why they couldn't have just used brown for the base...sigh)

I'm re-growing the collection slowly at the moment though.

Gun to my head, MP1... no, g1 Jetfire.. no, wait.. CW Superion (with Quickslinger replacing the turd), no no no, arrrrrrrgh, I guess you're just gonna have to shoot me..

Definitely MPM Camaro Bumblebee. An amazing representation of my favorite Transformer!

My Nightwatch Optimus Prime from the 2007 movie is the one figure I could never part with. He is perfection.

I really want to find the leader version of that mold that had the sword, I want those 2 together, and also give me the chance to swap the weapons so Nightwatch could have a sword.

Yes. Premium Optimus Prime came with the sword instead of the gun:

Thanks Zelda! Interesting, I had that mold but passed it on in favour of the Rotf version, didn't realise it had a different armament like that

FSS Wreckage. fss 5 was the last big purchase I made before the bottom kinda fell out of my life, so I kinda have a sentimental attachment to it. I also love the stories FunPub wrote for the components.

I love this figure so much. It is faultless, and remains one of the best movie molds ever made and one of my favorite figures ever. the Nightwatch paintscheme totally works on it too. I love it, never giving it up

Also G2 Smokescreen, Prime FE Cliffjumper and Cybertron Vector Prime.

Was Botcon Megaplex for a while, until he fell off my shelf and his knee went loose. It's currently between my Tarn custom and MP-10V.
