ROTF Leader Optimus Prime is my all time favorite toy. He was my first "Masterpiece", and was the figure that brought me back into Transformers after the hype from the first movie had died down.

I still have it today, after 10 years of love and appreciation. One of the back wings snapped off, but it still attaches like it used to do (but I have to parts form that piece from now on), but he's otherwise perfect. His electronics still work!

Also, and not to brag, but I have mastered his transformation to the point where I can change him between one mode and the next, and then back again, in just under a minute without a single "I am Optimus Prime!" or any of his swords flipping out.

When I compare him to the first figure I bought after years of having left the brand, CW Ultra Magnus, I can see what people mean when they say they don't make 'em like they used to.

Studio Series is excellent at pandering to us Bayformers fans, and I love the fan service that we are getting from it.

PS, I think ROTF is a pretty good movie, 7/10

YES. I'm on cloud 9 as a Transformers fan right now (particularly as a fan of the movies). I never would have thought we'd see brand new molds for Blackout, DOTM Megatron, DOTM Optimus, or any of these designs and characters that I enjoy so much.

I'm also really glad we have this thread now! :michaelbay:

Finally, a thread dedicated to my favorite bots of all time. My "G1" baby!

My first ever Transformers toy was movie 1 voyager Megatron, and he was followed 1 day later by movie 1 deluxe new Bee (the one in robot mode in the 3rd pic). I love both of them so much, and they are still some of my favorites, even if people don't really like movie 1 Megs design.

So here they all are! I promise there is a method to the madness that is the bot distribution on the shelves.

Not much of a movie guy (had to look up "Bring the Rain"), but I appreciate the effort that went into the toys, especially my TLK Megatrons and Rendsora! The cogmen, of course, are also legendary.

I love the Real-Gear line. They're fun to play with and quite cool. 2007 Dropkick is one of my favorites. A real underrated toy IMHO.

Yup.

A great robot mode. Fantastic detailing, great articulation, a cool and unique weapon, nice transformation and rather kicking truck mode. The 'backpack' is fairly flat, doesn't hinder stability, and isn't just a big chunk, but adds to the silhouette.

I love the way his truck kibble all works out. The truck bed pieces look like pretty dang cool wings, the doors are the primary wings, the tilted truck hood and headlights are really eye catching, and he ends up looking very muscular and built.

I love him. I'm really glad Burn decided to sell him to me!

Legion VW Bee is a joy to hold. He's such a fun little guy!

I wish they had made Legion versions of Shatter and Dropkick in car mode

Here's a rather unsung Scout-Class, IMHO.

Ransack. He is dripping with personality. And I mean, seriously, has there been anyone else with a flipping WW I-era biplane mode?!

As far as I know, there hasn't been. He is fantastic. HftD really killed the jetformers

A damned shame, then. And yeah. We need more for Ransack to lead a squadron of them!

Hm.... Something seems a bit off there... can't quite put my finger on it ;)

I like ROTF too and for me it's one of the highlights of the film series. I didn't mind the Mikaela-Sam romance and in fact I'm still mad at Steven Spielbutthead over Mikaela being abruptly replaced by Carly in DotM on account of Spielberg getting his knickers in a twist over Megan Fox's remark about Bay (which Bay himself thought was funny, from what I've read).

Speaking of Bumblebees, Battle Blade Bumblebee says "Bring it!"

ROTF Optimus is indeed amazing. He's great to play with and a feat of engineering, and looks badass:

Battle Blade Bumblebee (BBBB?) is an astoundingly good figure, practically a budget MPM. Not perfect of course but I love him. Thanks WJ88!

And yeah the movie lines, especially offscreen guys, are some of my favourite figures. The three SS figs I have thus far have all been great (my favourite, ironically, being an offscreen character based on a TLK figure- Thundercracker) and I still want practically the entire ROTF Scout line, especially Brimstone and Ransack. Oh, and Skystalker to go with Mindwipe (again, thanks WJ88!).

I've mentioned my love for DOTM Voyager Prime before (or Obari Prime as I like to call him) so I won't bore you with that spiel again. I'll absolutely agree that Dropkick is an underrated figure, and I kinda regret parting with mine. Two that I really feel deserve more recognition mind you are 2007 Stockade and Swindle. Stockade is an absolute gem of a figure; his articulation (lack of thigh swivels and ankle tilts aside) is pretty superb, his punch gimmick is fun, his alt mode is wonderfully sinister and Decepticon-y, and his overall design is just perfect. He also looks right at home with the BB based movie bots. Swindle meanwhile, whilst a bit more dated than his comrades, is full of personality, especially for a lensface. A really neat transformation, cool gimmick (the torso cannon is possibly one of my favourite built in TF weapons ever), nice alt mode and a really cool, quirky robot mode. I have to say, if you ignore the bio of him as a nincompoop with a brainpower score of 1(!) he'd make a really good alternative take on Swindle. Turns into a flashy car (fitting of a shifty weapons merchant), has a BIG gun, and his cyclopean visage is the perfect poker face. Who knows, maybe the whole "explosion-obsessed imbecile" thing is a cover story he uses to get about and sell his wares- after all, who'd expect an idiot of being a criminal mastermind?

One I really want to reacquire is 2007 Dreadwing and his two redecoes. I loved that mold, and Overcast and Fearswoop were awesome redecos who'd make a really nice squadron with him. I like the idea of Seeker squadrons being 3-bot teams of aerial Decepticons, and combined with them being mold mates I can see them as the "Airborne Terror Squadron".

Mention must be given, of course, to HftD Leader Starscream. Not just one of the best movie figures, but one of the best Transformers. It pulls off screen accuracy like a champ in both modes, and highlights the movie Decepticon aesthetic. This is a nightmare alien hell-robot from outer space that would gladly see your entire species squished.

Just happened to find a very cool movie figure at a local collectors store- I never thought I’d see one of these in person.

The price actually isn’t that bad comparing it to eBay prices, but still super expensive. Definitely something I didn’t expect to see!

Damn, I would have bought that! That is an awesome thing to see in person. Other than Starscream, that is the only MPM I do not currently own

Agree. I actually think Battle Blades Bee may be a better figure than the MP Bee. My only complaint is he stands a bit tall but scale can be manipulated if you pose them with the right figures. I'm surprised his built in weapons and face shield gimmick didn't come over with studio series to be honest.

Speaking of Studio Series I'm surprised Hasbro didn't repaint Blackout into Grindor..... Kind of a surprise to me from a company that loves to make repaints. And I would love to see a Frenzy make it into Studio Series.

The one thing I would have loved to see added to the films would have been post credit comedy or scenes. Like Soundwave in ROTF when he called Sams mother; there could have been a wrong number call first. Perhaps the Decepticons kidnap the wrong parents. Or in DOTM when Optimus was hanging and waiting on the wreckers to free him, he could have been playing fruit ninja or angry birds. Ironhide doing a very very over dramatic death scene perhaps. Wheelie hosting a talk show or something.
