ROTF Sideways leg issue

I've noticed that my ROTF Sideways' legs are prone to popping off at the hip, especially the right one on mine (which in fact did not seem to want to pop all the way on!). It looks like the sockets are poorly shaped to actually fit around the balls. Am I alone in this issue?

Seems to be a lesser known issue. Have you tried using any solutions to tighten the joint such as floor polish or trimming the ball down.

Coating the ball for tightness actually made things worse; the right hip's socket is so apparently misshapen that it was refusing to actually pop onto the ball all the way. The only thing I tried that's helped at all was gouging out some of the bottom of the socket. After that it least pops on somewhat properly.

I don't think that ever was a widespread issue with Sideways, I have no problems with my Dead End retool. This could just be a one-off, misshapen ball joints can happen on any figure.

Misshapen balljoint? I does rememind one of my balljoint Lego Bionicle figures had a dent in one of the ball pieces on one his limbs which meant one of his hands was unable to hold his weapons in certain poses. Lego always seemed to have issues with limegreen balljoint related plastic during 2002 till 2007 era.
2007 was really bad for them since a large batch of socket joints had been improperly cooled off meaning they were too brittle for disassembly. Two major figures that year were affected... Barraki Ehlek and Toa Hahli Mahri.

In my youth during vacation, I wanted to get a Mastermind game, but all of the ones that one store had had misshapen balls on the pins. Thankfully the store back home had a set that had them molded correctly, so yeah...
