I've pretty much given up on Walmart stocking anything lower than Deluxe. Target and some other independent stores in the malls are the places for that... and Ross and Five Below much later ;)

I don't particularly care to shop at Mall-Wart anyway. In fact, I outright boycott them except for one instance where, having had to run in there to use the restroom on account of digestive troubles, I saw Chromia (who I hadn't had any luck finding elsewhere yet) on the shelves and splurged.

Similiarly- I saw Overlord ONCE, and got him thankfully. I know that online he's become relatively inexpensive (or was for a while, as well as those fortunate enough to have Ollies near by), I think online retailers got most of the stock, but only saw him Once at Walmart, and never at a Target.

Airwave is great the Modulators are fun and neat so far, honestly I think that’s the brilliant innovation for ER.

Sky Lynx...I have no idea why I’m not more excited for him I think even though the scale is wonky it does seem like we just got him. This one is amazing and a play set to boot which always wins me over but I’m just like...like... eh. Ok.

I have G1 Double Dealer and Skorp normally I’d be nerding out and I’m just not super pumped for them I don’t fully know why. Dealer to me looks like a hot mess I mean he looks like a ridiculously complex Voyager that they tried to squeeze a kitchen sink into. Literally. And he’s a bird. And a base. And a deployer Powermaster it’s like whoah whoah fellas, Commander class already. And Skorp’s base mode is just not that impressive to me.

Yet, this is all yet: I’m sure these bastards will win me over they always do

The Sky Lynx we just got was a mere Voyager that couldn't split. Not at all adequate for his magnificence.

I own a G1 Scorponok myself. I quite like the base mode (especially the look of the shield tower bracketed by the towers made from the claws), and I'm excited for a version of it that can handle figures larger than Legion class :P Plus, while ER Scorponok won't be quite as tall as TR Fort Max (thanks to having to spend mass on the scorpion tail) it's a lot less of a gap than between the G1 versions. And thanks to Fasttrack, he'll have a cool spear to swing around (and will be able to swing around in various ways). I'm picturing him side-by-side with Trypticon in city mode, linked together. I'm picturing him side-by-side with Trypticon in robot mode or scorpion mode, terrorizing Autobots. Hell, I'm picturing him riding Trypticon, spear in hand.

The riding Trypticon might be a bit hard to do, but I'd be impressed if you managed to get them to do that

Do we have any pictures of spear mode yet for fast track? Also I don't see why Double Dealer would have to be a commander class, I mean we just got a triple Changer leader Class mold in the shape of Astrotrain, and I thought he was fantastic.

No we haven't yet, I'm hoping we will soon though.

I personally would not mind Doubledealer as either a Stalker or a Red Alert, though if they go that route, I will need to go back and get the Cybertron Defense Hot Shot from last year

See that's my whole evidence on why we may see Red Alert, just because we got hot shot last year  it would bug me to no end, like that itch in the middle of your back that you can't reach, if they only did one of the three Cybertron Defence team.

Something we 100% agree on!

Earthrise Sky Lynx, in my book, without even being seen "in hand" yet, is already a contender for figure of the year, if not figure of the last 10 years.

And a few TR Shufflers for him, to make up for the SIEGE Hound mold's lack of screw missiles.

They could always do... *gasp* something original *gasp* or something witty and referential, I know they have it in them >:oP

Red Alert: Minicon/Micromaster repair bay/recovery tank, since he was originally a medic before his upgrade.
Stalker: Micromaster "interrogation" (torture) chamber, given his role in his 2 IDW appearances that make up the majority of his fictional appearances.
Easy.

Also, totally unrelated, but we're probably going to see Sunstreaker, Trailbreaker, and maybe a Micromaster team or something over the weekend in Melbourne, aren't we?

For Stalker, it could also be an information download socket, since he wouldn't have the original toy's scope gimmick.

It would be cool, but at the same time I'm not sure if they'd bother with that one thanks to the Masterforce animators screwing up and using the Doubledealer colors instead of the Doubleclouder colors. And the difference is "White where Doubledealer is gray, plus extra paint apps"

Well, they did Shackwave and he never appeared in the show to begin with.
Gotta milk the mold, you know.

Okay, but Shackwave is a more noticeably different color scheme.
Given the screwup with Doubleclouder in show, and the existence of Galaxy Upgrade Optimus as well as Selects CD Hot Shot, I esteem a CD Red Alert somewhat more likely.

If there's a chance that Hasbro wouldn't be able to use the name "Stalker" for its possibly being too generic to Trademark (even with the "Decepticon Stalker" prefix), I wonder if they could use a similar sounding name (like, say, "Stockade", for example) as a suitable replacement.

After all, they apparently lost Strika's name recently and had to rename her Cyberverse counterpart "Alphastrike".

I imagine that even if they could trademark Stalker, they might prefer a different name due to the connotation's the name has. Then again, they did keep Cutthroat, so you never know

*Thinks up "Predator Stalker", then gets really cold shivers*

Select Cybertron Defence Red Alert from ER Leader Doubledealer.
Of course.
The irony is that I used him to make a custom Cybertron Doubledealer some years ago! He turn out pretty swell but I'll have to necro the custom's thread and repost the pictures.

So, finally gonna compose my thoughts on all the reveals, I too feel let down by this line, not only by the show accurateness, but that so many molds are getting trotted back out so soon (I mean, I've still got about 12 megatrons at my nearest target for gods sake) BUT there's also some legitimately awesome stuff too.

Scorponok: not feeling t at all, they could have updated the scorpion mode to make it look cool, but they didn't, the robot mode looks weirdly proportioned too, he has a bubblehead and tiny legs, and those ankles look awful and really frighten me after the trypticon ordeal

Arcee: I like her, I'll be getting her, I don't mind the backpack, I grew up with beast wars after all

Alicon: love it

Fasttrack: I love the weaponizers, definitely getting him

Airwave: Same as fasttrack

Doubledealer: something looks off about where his knees are on his body, but other than that, I love it

Snapdragon: Yes, I've been waiting for him since Titans return, he looks so much more polished than apeface

Quintesson: I'm not feeling it, it would make a nice display piece, but I don't feel anything towards them

Sky lynx: hoo boy, that is a lot of stuff going on in one figure, I love it, I still prefer combiner war sky lynx, but this one looks so sick and the dragon mode is pretty meaty

on a side note, I'm really digging that rack'n'ruin battlemaster, def want some if anyone finds some

I know a lot of people are happy that finally there's a good Quintesson figure, I'm just curious why it's in the Earthrise line. As far as I remember, Quints had nothing to do with Earth.

From what I picked up from Toy Fair, the story of Earthrise is supposed to be the Autobots journey to Earth. So the long trek through space to finally get to Earth. I think it was John Warden who said something like, these are the characters they meet on the way.
