And I should have really honed in on the Netflix figures, which is ultimately where my current ire resides.

If it’s any consolation, any at all, the phrasing of your ire was awesome  killed me.

There’s just some things only a TF collector can relate to. Like, I just had to start sorting my Siege from my Earthrise. Like when I had to start sorting my CW from my TR from my PotP. I only have so many shelves and I know you know what I mean.

It ain’t just us. Try finding the Mandalorian 3.75 inch figure in a store right now. And that’s not exclusive. I paid a 40% markup to get one, but the starting amount is not 39.73.

As to your other point, some of us are separating Siege from Siege (or trying to), to say nothing of Earthrise from Siege.

There is also the fact that this is the thread for Earthrise so I can see how people would comment more about generations in general. For the netflix line, I think it's a mixed bag and fully dependent on where you are located. There are some walmarts that I see a ton of them, so scalpers (if they are there) are not interested and thus it's only bought by people who wanted them (or in this case, don't want them). And from all the distribution woes I have witnessed from these boards, its more likely you arent seeing the toys because they are not there then because someone took them all.

As for the netflix figures being for fans, I wouldn't claim that in general at all. Especially when you consider they are all repaints of toys collectors and fans already got. These are obviously to accompany the show that will be starting next month, and thus they are for anyone who will watch the show and see them in stores be that fans or kids.

That Magnus seems more fan centric though since I can't think of a parent who would buy that not knowing what it is, but that also suits the higher price point which toys aimed at kids tend to shy away from and leave just for a few items.

My only issue with that theory is that they've marked the shelves for them (or for some of them as I explained) at some stores and not at all besides Deluxes at others. Walmart doesn't do idle shelf marking that I've ever encountered before now.

That could go either way. Despite 'controls' we tend to re-buy things as a whole - they learned that with the Batman action figures from 1990 being constant repaints of Batman. As odious as it is, it's a pretty genius sales tactic. I don't think it's easy to define a right or wrong there, but I agree about Magnus and being a blind buy at 60 dollars. I wouldn't pay that much for a kid's toy I couldn't see before hand dry in a toy aisle.

My walmart had tags up for the voyagers and deluxes 3 weeks before they had them stocked. And no someone did not beat me to them since I checked with employees almost everyday until they finally stocked them.

Well, it is Walmart. They pushed all their pre-orders back to June only to start putting them out in stores. Certainly those of us who are impatient are making up some of the early consumption as well then cancelling their pre-orders. Throwing more chaos on top of chaos.

Chaos on top of chaos sounds like the breakfast special at the Unicron Cafe.

They do, a lot. It especially happens for exclusives. Target does that too, we have a bunch of news stories showing this practice. When the tags go up and when the toys are available are not at all linked, and in these crazy times I can see it being worse. If the tags were your only evidence then consider this mystery solved. It's not scalpers in this case, just typical walmart chaos.

So, what are the odds we get another Micromaster 10 pack with some more of the Micromaster combiners? Cause Of the 2 we've seen, I love the little gimmick

The *shelf marking* thing at Walmart is interesting.... My closest one is all marked for the Netflix stuff, but only got one case of the spoiler box, none of the voyagers yet.

But I had seen in the past Walmart where they put out pegs and codes for original series cassettes, and never got any in. I hope this is not the case with what we are currently experiencing, as the closest Walmart to me is currently the only one with price markers for Netflix toys. (and its not even the largest one in the area)...The largest one a couple miles further down the road has almost nothing, but they do (curiously) have about 5 Original Series reissues Soundwaves.... :???:

Thats cool, are they heavily discounted? And yeah, the casette markings was what I was referring to when I said "especially exclusives". It's because tbey assume they'll get the product since they are exclusives to them, so the markings go up (in the Walmarts that care to put them up). And then some Walmarts get them and others dont, as is the usual. So you get any combination described so far of the toys being there or the markings or both or none.

As for Earthrise, the only class that I haven't seen plenty of at Walmart is the leader, but that's expected with the higher price point. But all in all, my Walmarts look absolutely faboulous, even nicer than before the quarantine.

It must be a regional thing, our walmarts down here wouldn't dare give that much of a **** about stocking their toy section :HEADHURTS:

Possible First Look at Transformers Earthrise Bumblebee

We know we are going to get a Bumblebee figure in Earthrise, thanks to tags and listings reported online. And many have an idea of what it could entail, but now we have an actual detailed promotional image which gives us our best look yet at what the figure will look like. It was posted on the Vector Prime Facebook page. We see Bumblebee with a beautiful G1 headsculpt next to Earthrise Optmimus Prime, getting ready for battle.

Let us know if you'll be replacing your Titans Return Bumblebee with this one (which is double the price) when it comes out.

Even if Bee is just a redeco/reshell of Earthrise Cliffjumper, I'll definitely be replacing TR Bee. TR Bee isn't bad by any means, but ER Cliff is much more fun to transform and pose for me, so I'll definitely upgrade.

The pessimist in me says Bee will be a heavy retool of Cliffy, but will still look like a scaled-down, more affordable MP. I also thought that he (as well as Wheeljack) should have gotten a Cybertronian version (from MTMTE) in Siege.

Wheeljack would have if he had won the fan poll that gave us Mirage and Impactor.

Cliffjumper's arms and legs are Bumblebee's arms and legs. Not sure how two toys based off the same general construction would warrant re-inventing the wheel.

EDIT: Going by the promotional image, though, Bumblebee - if he's molded off this image - will be a departure from his own parts and more like the comic book has been portraying him. So - maybe a new mold altogether after all.
