War for Cybertron: Earthrise Fasttrack, Megatron, and Netflix Elita-1 and Bumblebee New Photos.

Thanks to Seibertronian Cyberpath, we've been alerted to some brand new stock images of upcoming Earthrise figures! Dengeki Hobby Web has posted some new images of Deluxe Class Fasttrack and Megatron. There's not a lot new to see with Megatron- he does have his more Earth-style tank mode, and he does have some battle damage paint applications that buck the trend of nearly all Earthrise figures not having ANY battle damage (he and Hoist seem to be the exceptions).

Moving on to Fasttrack, there's more to note than we've seen before. There are new shots of his back and also with him disassembled into his component pieces. 'Modulators' in this line are meant to be disassembled and reassembled into different configurations instead of having a typical integrated transformation. We also see his interactivity with Zarak and Scorponok.

They've also posted new pictures of Elita-One1 and Bumblebee from Wave 2 of the Netflix line. Despite being Netflix Siege figures, these two have no battle damage whatsoever, unlike the heavy battle damage decos of other Netflix figures. Given that they're both remolded from Earthrise figures, and the fact that Volkswagens were never manufactured on Cybertron, it makes sense.

While these figures should be showing up at U.S. retail in the next month or two, Elita and Bumblebee aren't scheduled to be released in Japan until January of 2021.

Let us know what you think of these new images! Bumblebee looking love a mini-Masterpiece to you? Do Megatron's pictures give you a thirst for tyranny? Has Elita-One1 improved on her divot mold? Is Fasttrack's new Triple-changer status even more appealing? Share your thoughts below!

Jury is still out on Cyclonus if he's earthrise/kingdom or Studio Series 86

I'm pretty sure that Cyclonus we saw was a Voyager (roughly same size as Thrust), and for the SS 86 line instead of Earthrise (lack of 5mm ports).

As for the other parts of wave 4, let me go full nerd for a little while and see what I can come up with. I have a few ideas that might tell us something.

so can we expect that everything in Netflix wave 2 will be in the main Earthrise line with different paint jobs?

If there is a Wave 4, I could see it being a much smaller wave than the previous ones because it's (possibly) the end of the line. Voyager Thrust and Deluxe Runabout are a given, but I'd say no other Voyagers besides Thrust (I'm in the camp that thinks Cyclonus will be in Studio Series), maybe one other Deluxe, and something like one or two more Battlemasters or Micromasters. I'm not expecting any more Leaders, at the very least it could just be an unchanged re-release of Ultra Magnus or Shockwave, but I'll be amazed if there is something new.

The only *new* Figures in Netflix wave 2 are BB and Elita-1, It's possible for earthrise I guess, but I doubt it seeing as they would probably be on shelves around the same time.

I wouldn't bank on that, the Netflix stuff has already included a Seeker and 2 new repaint characters that were never released in the mainline, and the way the designer on the FFF stream was talking about them, he made it sound like Bumblebee and Soundwave at least have no battle damage because these releases are their only ER figures.

Thrust is supposedly an exclusive though?

I'm starting to think now... that maybe the Netflix series will be another "dumping ground" for figures with alternate tooling that would otherwise go unused. Selects is one, but a tad limited (depending on who you ask) and more suitable for obscure characters. The Walmart exclusive Netlix series hits that middle ground with more known characters that would have received backlash from fans were they in Selects. :-?

And on top of that he is WFC-E26, which would put him at much too low of a number for wave 4. Unless, he was originally going to be an exclusive and the deal fell through, then he got shoved into wave 4. Pure speculation there.

Speaking of the numbering system and missing stuff, we're still missing some numbers in the middle of that chunk of exclusives that falls inbetween Waves 2 & 3:
E1-E25: Wave 1, Wave 2, Quintesson Judge, Sky Lynx, Scorponok
E26: Seeker Thrust (release method unknown)
E27: Ramjet & Dirge
E28: ???
E29: Thundercracker & Skywarp
E30: Pounce & Wingspan
E31: Prowl & Ironhide
E32: ???
E33: ???
E34-E38: Wave 3
E39: Doublecrosser
E40: Battle Squad rerelease
E41: Runabout
Rest of Wave 4 (E42-on): ???

The only stuff we know is coming that could go in there is Bluestreak (who if he is the Walgreens figure, would fit in E33 almost exactly like Ratchet last year as an unofficial extra Wave 3 Deluxe) and the Autobot Clones (which were soft-confirmed during the first FFF, but have yet to be seen or leaked), so at least one of those is a mystery. Considering we have multipacks for 3/4 factions present in this line accounted for already, I'm hoping for a Mercenary set of some kind (they're running out of places to release Detritus dangit).

Okay, so I consulted my inner geometry nerd and counted up the spaces on the Earthrise star map. Here is what I found so far:

The map has 129 full hexagons, and 1 additional diamond piece for the total of all the map pieces.
Each hexagon can fit 3 diamond shaped pieces.

Battlemasters and Micromasters each get a single diamond piece
Deluxes get 3 hexagons
Voyagers (including the Thundercracker/Skywarp pack) get 4 hexagons
Leaders get 6 hexagons

I don't know yet about Commander or Titan, but I'm assuming they would each have at least 6 like the leaders.

I have the TR clones, so I'm not sure on them either, but they look to be same as deluxe.

Based on what I know for official releases and expected map pieces we have:

MM and BM = 10 so far, or 3 hexagons and the extra diamond piece
Deluxe = 13 so far, 39 hexagons
Voyager (includes Thundercracker/Skywarp and Thrust) = 7 so far, 28 hexagons
Leader = 3 so far, 18 hexagons

So I get a total of 88 hexagons (and the extra diamond) used so far.

Now for speculation:
Lets assume the clones do in fact use 3.
The Amazon coneheads will likely have 4 hexagons like Thundercracker/Skywarp, for 4 more.
My guess on the Amazon Prowl/Ironhide would be 3 more like a regular deluxe.
if Commander and Titan each have 6 like the leaders, that would be 12 more, for a total of 22 more hexagons from this speculation, and a total of 110 (and the extra diamond) used up so far.

That would leave 19 hexagons left to fill in.
The total number of unknown BM's and MM's would have to be a multiple of 3, and 3 or 6 seems to be the most likely answer.

This would also assume no more unknown exclusives, which could easily eat up more slots.

In any case, I think this points to wave 4 not being a full wave no matter how you divide up the remaining available spots, but if there are no more exclusives, then wave 4 might be close to full.

Snapdragon is an instant buy for me. Had they given the shoulder tip parts some paint detail it would look much better I wager.

Too damn bad Apeface doesn't look half as good and was a total pass for me. :( :VEHI:

SkyLynx has 8 Hexagons, and Scorponok has 20 if I counted correctly that is... ;)

Additionally as I side note. I worry about things sometimes, and 2nd guessing myself, sometimes causes more harm than good. The Tail section on Scorponok comes separate from the body. I attached it correctly initially, but when trying to transform to city mode I second guessed myself and thought I had it on backwards, needless to say, its very problematic to remove. I had to do it twice to get it back right correctly, and the second time it nearly broke!. I have stress marks on one side now, but its ok, and Ill never do it again, just as a cautionary tail, (no pun intended), make sure you get it right the first time, and dont remove it thereafter.

Wow, if that is the case, then wave 4 might end up being pretty small after all.

Megatron continues to look like a worthless born shelfwarmer.

Elita is also crap. Suffers from the ER Arcee mold's flaws (and having the mold double as her is probably the cause of them), so small that she'd have been better as Ariel, and still not properly pink.

Fasttrack looks nice. Bumblebee's okay too, but could use different accessories.

Megatron’s headsculpt is awful. Siege was pretty good, though a little off, but this just looks bad. I find this strange as usually the one thing Hasbro nails on virtually every figure is the headsculpt.

Bumblebee on the other hand looks fantastic, and I am glad I was lucky enough to get a preorder in before it sold out. He will look great next to Earthrise Cliffjumper on the shelf.

I reworked the numbers based on the map pieces thanks to input from o.supreme, and well, it doesn't look good for wave 4, but we should probably expect that.

Commander gets 8 and Titan gets 20

I have the TR clones, so I'm not sure on the Earthrise ones, but they look to be same as deluxe.

Based on what we know for official releases and expected map pieces we have:

MM and BM = 10 so far, or 3 hexagons and the extra diamond piece
Deluxe = 13 (includes wave 4 Runabout) so far, 39 hexagons
Voyager (includes Thundercracker/Skywarp and Thrust) = 7 so far, 28 hexagons
Leader = 3 so far, 18 hexagons
Commander = 8
Titan = 20

So I get a total of 116 hexagons (and the extra diamond) used so far. That only leaves 13 unused hexagons for the map without having the Target clones, Amazon coneheads or Amazon Prowl/Ironhide accounted for. Lets say those use 3, 4 and 3 respectively, then that is only 3 hexagons left for whatever the Walgreens exclusive would be unless my math is off somewhere (entirely possible).

It does seem to suggest we know about almost everything for the entire line and that wave 4, might be another TR/PotP final wave with only 1 new deluxe.

The numbers work. But that is unfortunate. I understand the desire to occasionally re release something so anyone who missed it the first time can have another opportunity (Yay for Rung!) . However, IIRC with TR and PotP, even though there was only one new figure in each of that line's last wave's , it wasn't really heavily promoted. The toys themselves were, but not so much as Hasbro saying "this is a whole new wave".

Wave 5 of Siege was kind of a surprise, and I still think several of these were supposed to be in Earthrise, they just got released early. Hasbro released that full map a long time ago also promoting 4 waves. To have only one new figure in that last wave is kind of a letdown. They should have just been nonchalant about it as they were with TR and PotP, so as not to build up fan expectation. Unless there is some *super secret* additions to the map that Hasbro has been holding out on...??
