I looked everywhere and all I got was commercial links. Those seems official merchandise. Those "giant" Transformers that don't transform are rather small. Plus, they look like rubber "shampoo bottle" figures. And the final blow is they come in a baggie, similar to a KO dollar store products.

They sell for between 80$ or over 100$us!

So what's the deal with those figures, where they come from and why are they so damn EXPENSIVE?

The Google won't help nor TF Wiki.

Try looking up Sofubi Transformers. Vinyl sofubi toys from japan are pretty ridiculously priced and collectible despite looking like, yeah, bootlegs, but I guess that's part of the charm. They're supposed to replicate the nostalgia of toys from 50 years or so ago.

At least the Sofubi Transformers are 12" tall and look good.
The Yutani are just a big pile of WTF.
