So the Takara Tomy stock photos show Soundwave with a red visor...

Regardless of visor color the yellow door outline with orange/gold stripes still annoys me a lot more.

Netflix Optimus Prime isn't really doing it for me. I will still pick it up to get the exclusive Sheeldron and Enerax, but this Prime is not going to replace my Earthrise version. The reds and blues look more vibrant and appealing on the Earthrise version, as does the light blue as opposed to colorless clear plastic on the windows. I'm also not fond of the navy blue elbows and other connector joints of the Netflix version which are instead a much less garish dark gray on the Earthrise version. It's a shame, because there are aspects about the Netflix version I like much better, like not neglecting to paint the yellow square on the pelvis, keeping the inner calves blue, and the better contrasting lighter blue eyes for the face, but they don't outweigh the flaws in the end for me.

I'm hoping Soundwave's visor is red, but either way...
I do think it's odd that the outside of the cassette door is yellow compared to the other more golden areas... I definitely don't understand the thinking behind that design decision. Yeah the more I look at that, the more I don't like it. Imo it contrasts with his blue too much.
I'll still get him, but man, the landing gear on the bottoms of his forearms is so stupid... Especially when his forearms are hollow...
Also, with being packaged with 2 cassettes is he going to be $50?

$30 Voyager + $10 cassette 2-pack = $40

That's what I was hoping, I just wasn't going to be surprised if it was more.

Sorry for the foolish question but can we expect to see Nemesis Prime in Walmart stores? :VEHI:

Pick him up once you spot him tho. If he's anything like the last pack with UM and Rung, each store may get only one or two.

The thing that irks me about that first set though was even though it didn't shelf warm, it was put on clearance for $35 almost immediately after the first wave came and went, and now online retailers are selling it for that same low price. I wish I could have the hindsight to know if the same thing will happen with the Nemesis Prime box.

At the same time, many waited for Siege Skywarp and Greenlight to go on sale and well....., I don't think the savings they possibly could have had make up the $300-400 they would now need to spend to get those.

Yeah, I've rarely been one to wait. If I have, it's because of lack of funds. I didn't have the money to purchase basically any Titan at time of release until this year, thus getting Tryp & Predaking on sale was just a series of fortunate events.

I purchased Greenlight and got the BM's from the Skywarp set (from eBay) right away. I guess it is best to be glad I have them, then think I *wasted* $30 on Ultra Magnus by getting him the first time on sight, rather than the 2nd time at reduced price.

So, apparently the Wave 1 Netflix Deluxes are still having new cases put out in stores since I just got back from Walmart and found a lone Scrapface for the first time in several months.

Either more cases are still being shipped out to stores or Walmarts have just been sitting on stock that they are finally starting to move more of.

Either way, those who are still looking for Scrapface in-stores still have a chance to find one now (even if he remains still hard to find).

I've heard from friends who work in retail that Walmart has been holding toy stock dating back to not long after the Pandemic started for the Christmas/holiday season, so we might be looking at Walmarts starting to let some of that held stock leak out to the shelves.

Yes several Walmarts neare have restocked Netflix deluxes recently. A few Megatrons and Hotlinks from the first release are still hanging around.

I wonder if I'll ever see the Nemesis Prime set in store?

Based on the fact that my local Walmart never ever had any Netflixformers in store, the chances are nil.

Such a bummer they altered the colors on Netflix Earthrise Prime. The additional paint apps—inner legs, waist, rims, gun—are a fantastic update, but the drab blue looks much worse, and it looks like they still left off the silver around the eyes. I likely would have snapped him up if they had left the color tones alone, but I think it’s a pass for me.

NETFLIX Transformers War for Cybertron Trilogy Red Alert Video Review

We have another video review to bring to you today, from the upcoming Wave 2 of Netflix figures. Seibertronian Praxiusprime77 pointed us towards a review by TonTon for Red Alert! He features some notable deco changes and has extensive battle damage paint applications, as is standard with most of the Netflix line.

The second Wave of Netflix figures is set to be shipping out next month, so Red Alert and his wavemates Bumblebee, Elita-One1, Wheeljack, and Impactor should be in your hands soon!

Are you going to be replacing your Siege Red Alert with this new figure? Let us know what you think below, and stay tuned for the latest news and reviews!

I will not be replacing my Siege Red Alert with this figure. My Siege Red Alert is just fine.

Same here. But I think this toy isnt really meant to replace ours, it's just to bring that toy back on the shelves for those that want one and didn't get a chance the first time.

Variety and accessibility are always good. And this figure isn't bad, I just don't see enough of a difference to warrant another purchase or even to swap out the other figure. I was just answering Bounti76's last question in the post. :-D

A bit like Siege Hound.
But unlike the Hound PLAGUE, there were not many Red Alerts on shelves to begin with. So that Netfilx edition is a welcome one.

You know what, Hound Plague or not, Walmarts are sold out of all Hounds, have been for a few months.

Comparison Images between Siege Soundwave and Netflix Soundwave

The next batch of Netflix Transformers toys should be coming to Walmarts soon enough and it is far more anticipated than the previous wave, due to three new toys. One of them is Soundwave, who turns into his Earthrise mode. It is a remold of the Siege toy and so there are a lot of similarities. We can see them in the images below. We also have comparisons with the casette bots, who also have slight remolding on their heads. Laserbeak, for instance, no longer has his cybertronian visor look. These images come from Cybertron Philippines.
