Any sightings of Netflix Optimus Prime and Soundwave in Canada?

My friend want a ER Optimus but he don't want to pay for that cheap-ass trailer. So his best option is the Netflix one.

No way of knowing in Quebec since Walmarts have their toy sections cut off due to government regulation. But I did get mine before the lockdown, yes, so they were around.

Lockdowns or not, my local Walmart never, ever bothered having any Netflix figures in stock.

If we can't tell just from looking at the robot mode, I don't think they need to waste the budget on retooling an Earth mode for Sideswipe.

I'd hope so, the siege mold doesnt compare to most other sideswipes out there. Earth mode could stop him from looking like Mr Strong and situate the chest a bit lower so he is not peeking over his pecks along with the mismatched car panel colors. TBF I have the worst version of the mold with Red Alert and G2/Tigertracks/Deepcover all look better than the original use and red alert.

I cannot agree with this more.

We absolutely DO NOT need an Earth mode Sideswipe or Hound. Those 2 are earthy enough as it is. They do not need retooled. And heck, I would lump Mirage in there too. Just leave those 3 alone and don't waste the retooling budget there

If the rumors are true, we're getting an "Earthmode" Mirage as part of yet another retailer exclusive gift set, that is just a straight repaint of the Siege release, likely just putting on his racing numbers and changing any Cybertronian text to English. I think they can do the same with Hound and Sideswipe too. Hound maybe needs more Earth-based tires, but everything else is there and makes sense for a "real world" jeep type of vehicle. Just remove the battle damage paint apps and brighten up the colors a bit to match the cartoon. Sideswipe can get by with something similar. Just drop the battle damage paint apps, repaint the canopy to look more like a traditional Earth car, with an opaque roof, instead of a clear, windowed dome like Hot Rod, and maybe pop on the faux-Lamborghini wheels they made for Earthrise Sunstreaker.

I agree with Hound, but only because having the classics/henkei figure makes the siege version moot -apart from a nod to the action master vehicle so I never have Siege Hound in bot mode (I tend to wait for discount on figures I'm only buying for one mode). If/when I get MP hound classics will go in Jeep mode next to it but I dont think siege hound will be joining my movie figures. I already kind of hide the mismatched colors red alert on that shelf as is.

Mirage I disagree on as the vehicle mode is just ugggly -though I picked up the netflix version and the cthru one in the tripple pack I'm still using my classics for him. The CW Mirage has a better car mode too so it's a let down for me. I'll be passing on Earth Mirage if it's just a repaint.

I'm not sure that's exactly what Chuck was saying, but we're all agreed on something.

Mirage and Sideswipe are close enough, but i would like to see an earth mode Hound, even if they just retool and redeco Jeep Bee from Studio Series.

Well, I just got an email notification from Walmart that Netflix Soundwave was back in stock. I follow the link, and there is sure enough 1 unit left! However, the list price is now $79.88!? It's not sold directly by Walmart either, but some company called "Customs N more." No thank you!

Yeah, their website is sketchy at times. I saw Bee in stock last week, said it was sold by Walmart, but going for $50. Yikes.

Thanks to Kremzeek Reviews, we have a new image of the upcoming deluxe Barricade from the third wave of Walmart exclusive Transformers Netflix products. This is the toy in a sparkless deco, which are the zombies in the first season. We are supposed to get this deco for the seeker mold and lambo mold as well for you to build a whole army of sparkless bots. This is the third image we have of this toy, meaning a few got their hands on it.

Read that title too fast as “sparkles barricade” and my first thought was “ is this from the my little pony cross over?”

This guy looks cool, but these stupid Walmart exclusives are killing me. It's bad enough to have to go to Walmart to find something, but the local ones are hardly ever stocked with anything, let alone the exclusives. I've never bothered trying their website, because all I've heard is horror stories about them cancelling orders willy-nilly. Feels like eBay scalpers are my only option, which... you know, scalpers.

One option is to ask fellow board members to keep an eye out for what you want.

The only problem is they need to get a WFC Chromia head and paint it Moonracer's color to be show accurate ;) .

Dont give in to scalpers, that just further encourages them to continue existing.

If anyone is fretting not getting a Netflix BB, don't worry, it appears more are on the way. I stopped at a local walmart this afternoon, and they must have just put out 2 cases, because there were 4 BB's and 4 Elita's, and 2 of all the others. Not sure if walmart online is doing any better (For the record I still haven't seen a Soundwave yet, but he's thankfully not on my want list). But as was said above, no need to give in to scalpers.

I agree with you on this, but on the other hand I see the ER Ironhide/Prowl two-pack on sale at TFSource for $150 and wonder what separates scalpers from some of the retailers out there.
