I think the idea of them being scaled as gone out of the window with RED beastwars stuff etc unless they only scale with others from the same era.

I was going to make a joke about finding them in store before they shipped for pre-orders too.

Wouldn't mind a deathshead in this line up with the marvel legends one being completely different.

Would hasbro have to seek approval from Disney to do a death's head figure in the tf line?

yeagh but it could always just be another collab, plus a deathshead in RED might start marvel legends collectors on RED and vise versa so its a win for hasbro/marvel even with licencing costs.

If they’re branching out to all eras, consider me interested in some Unicron Trilogy throwbacks (please, I’m G1’d out now, it’s everywhere)

Optimus' super modes and their add-ons would be great for BAF.

Yeah I'm definitely going to get Megatron and Soundwave... In fact, already having WfC SoundBlaster, I'll most likely skip any ER release of Soundwave and go with the RED version.
Personally, I think these are going to make awesome display pieces.

If it's any indication, the Power Rangers/Super Sentai collectors seem to like the Hasbro figures a lot more than the original Bandai of America ones, which were steadily declining in quality over the years. Also, that particular line includes comic-original characters like the Ranger Slayers and Lord Drakkon. Death's Head may yet pop up in a cross-branded set.

Oh thank HEAVENS they have some apparant degree of a waist swivel, this is my first time seeing them display that feature. Although non transforming figures aren't for me, I can at least respect what they offer at this price point if they feature articulation like that. Without it, they have nothing going for them in my eyes.

Soundwave's lower legs should be gray/white, not blue.

It will be a TRUE "yay" if they release the original characters from the G1 Action Master line in R.E.D.

Pre-ordered Megatron and Soundwave. The confirmation says they're supposed to arrive on August 6th.
I know it's early, but based on appearance alone, I'm looking forward to more of these!

Not even. At least all action masters came with some transforming element. They are part of the brand's legacy and added to it with new characters and a different playability. These are just action figures featuring Transformers characters.

They're aimed at collectors like Sowndwave76 who despite being Transformers fans don't give a toss about their toys transforming.

Why did you feel the need to single Sowndwave76 like that? Everyone is allowed to collect how they want, there is no set standard.

Pull your head in. Your attitude lately has been poor.

Because with 33-50% of the thread boiling down to "Who are these even made for?"/"Why are they even doing these" I wanted to point to a specific example of someone who is quite happy with figures like this.

You're right, they are.. and I worded that post very badly, it was not supposed to sound hostile. Ugh...

I can’t wait! These are made for people like me who are into marvel legends and the new gi joe series. I love transformers too and have a bunch but my love is primarily with the g1. I rarely ever transform them into vehicles mode because robots kick more ass than cars.

Transformer RED Series Prime Knockout, G1 Starscream and Redeco Prime Coming

That Transformers RED Series seems to be playing for keeps with Hasbro going all out on releases from various eras. We found a listing on Walmart.com for a Transformers Prime Knockout. Not only does it mean we are getting a Knockout action figure but it also confirms that the previous Arcee listing was indeed for Prime Arcee. Now while that can be exciting for some, it can also be infuriating to others that would have loved such a line of various fan favourite characters from across different generations, but that transformed. We will also be getting a redeco of Optimus Prime and the listing has it literally named "Redeco Optimus". A G1 Starscream listing was also found. Below are the three links to these toys:
