I'm wondering if we have a guess for how different this supposed Netflix Cheetor could be. If he's just a recolor then it might not be that interesting but if he would actually have a rifle then that changes the game, ya know? Anybody got any thoughts on this?

My guess would be just a repaint with no new weapons. So far all the deluxes were either repaints with no new accessories, or in the case of Bee and Elita-1 the only release.

Guess I'll just grab core Prime and take advantage of the 5mm port on his rifle to gear up Kingdom Cheetor then.

Do the accessories for the R.E.D. figures have standard 5mm pegs? You could get that version of Cheetor and pass over that rifle.

They do not.

The original Legends class had already been renamed "Legion class" as of 2011's Cyberverse subline of DOTM. They wouldn't use the name "Legends" on a T30 figure if it wasn't part of that new size class.

Welll, he does seem to be a tad small compared to other T30 Legends figures:

But not nearly smaller enough to be Legion/Old!Legends. They call him Legends because that's what he's closest to.

It's like how Full-Tilt is a tad small compared retail TR Deluxes, but not nearly enough so to be Legends-class.

I know some people speculated that is how Warden would go out, but I'm glad we are getting something new (The Ark), before starting to repeat. Plus there are a few more Titans that deserve their due before we go back to Metroplex, hopefully another 3-5 years at least.
Counterpoint: Metroplex's eBay price these days. IMO that's grounds for a new one or at least a reissue. Just so we can get him!

o.supreme wrote:Looking ahead a bit. I know most folks are surmising that Slammer will be a white repaint of Warpath, which makes sense. Initially at first I was upset at the prospect of this, preferring a white repaint of the Brunt Mold to be an additional Weaponzier, but then I got to thinking...

T30/Legends Metroplex has a Legion Scale Scamper, and in Siege he got a Deluxe Weaponizer in Sixgun.

TR/Legends Trypticon already has a Deluxe Weaponizer in Brunt, and a Deluxe Car with Full-Tilt.

So Slammer being a deluxe transformer is actually not a bad choice at all, if made from Warpath. Making it a Titan Master would improve symmetry, but that's probably not going to happen, and is next to impossible.
Slammer being Deluxe could work out, as long as the altmode looks like him.

I agree. Scamper is the odd one out, being the only cityformer companion not at the Deluxe Class scale. Besides, the Legends Class Scamper that came with Thrilling 30 Metroplex didn't look all that much like G1 Scamper from the original toyline or the Sunbow cartoon, especially in its coloration.
Well, the car mode looks similar. But yeah, the robot mode got a substantial redesign because they were avoiding partsforming wherever possible. So a new Scamper wouldn't be so bad.

But I don't want him Deluxe unless they're able to still make him be minibot size. I think that works substantially better for his interactions with Metroplex.

There's a Cheetor available on Target.com lol. I decided I'd rather take the gamble of the Netflix figure being "better" so I cancelled my preorder. Funny, right now that's the only figure on Target's site that isn't out of pre-orders at the moment.

Pretty sure they meant they want to see this new one compared to both those toys.

I have the 10th anniversary 2-pack and I like them a lot. I have had Megatron in T-Rex mode almost the whole time I have had him. I don't care for the T-Rex mode in the Kingdom figure, but I might get him for the robot mode. It'll be an in-hand decision. Honestly, he doesn't look worth $50.

Think I'll wait for KO MP reissue or bite the bullet on MP at some point, Kingdoms good but if I'm just having one version of him on my shelves he loses out. Def confirms SS Grimlock is way too small for me so that is money saved on him and his team mates.

Throughout most of the vid, I kept noticing the split at the top of the t-rex head neck area on top, as if it could come off. I noticed though that it can't, but wondering why it splits like that?

Seems like a lot of early reviews are popping up fore core class. ( Normal reviewts though not sample swipers) Have these been spotted in store yet, or does a particular online retailer have them in stock?

I don't like that Megatron's dino skin is all rubber, that's not going to age well....

One of the leakers said that the rubbery parts are like the old rubber dinosaur toys you could get at supermarkets and such so it is fairly durable

I know Beast Wars has devoted fans - but to me, all the figures and characters just seemed - sloppy. Sure, having a full blown Tyrannosaur HEAD for a hand sounds cool, but in practical application, not so much. Hard pass on all of these....
