A question to seibertron, does kingdom optimus has any difference compared to earthrise optimus? And if it is not much of a hassle, can i ask for a side by side comparison pic?

You mean the Leader?
It's just a straight re-release. Like for Arcee in Kingdom, and Siege Astrotrain in Earthrise.

ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:Looking at the above, he actually does have them; they just don't show in a lot of pics. And what exactly is "a mess" aside from the cheetah head not flattening out?

Mess:

-Shoulders need to be closer to the body, as is, it looks like a tubular piece from an old pipe connecting board game. Problem is if they are too close that would add to his tubular look too.

-Beast tube neck, looks bad in both modes. The beast head sticks out less on the robot mode but the way it does it is unsightly.

-Back kibble shell, doesnt give the look of cheetors intakes (instead the rear legs are pulling off some of the shape which is why I like their placement) and it's just a way of having his shell be somewhere.

-The pole the Beast head inserts to in bot mode, so he has yet another tube showing in his design

-lower forearms, not shaped. Tubular with parts sticking off of it rather than having the curves and lack of plates that look like plating.

-Hands, with the plates being on the hands they hands look less defined than on some older legion class figures. Even the core class figures have better defined hands over this deluxe.

I kinda like the orange eyes on beast mode head as when inactive in robot mode they would change color so I think it pulls of that look well and still looks good in beast mode. Beast mode pulls off a cat shape well with the legs but is lacking a feral/curved shape.

T-30 Rhinox dosen't feel outdated nor out of place in this picture.
I wonder if a Kingdom Rhinox will just be a straight re-release of the T-30 mold, or will they make a brand new mold? :-?

If they do indeed use the T-30 mold, i do hope they did a bit of tweaking. For example, he needs better heels on robot mode, and maybe make his ankle able to tilt farther. Those 2 are probably my only gripes about that mold.

A weird offputting elbow configuration. One of my friends elbows angles freaks me out when she holds her arms face down out. Some just bend ways they shouldn't.

IIRC t-30 rhinox has couple of issues that could be sorted out if they choose to modify and release the t-30 mold, only one I remember bugging me was loose joints in the legs and a bad center of gravity, toss some ratchet joints and ankle tilts into it and it'd be perfect :-?

It's going to be a new mold with COMBAT ports on it. I don't see them reviving a 6 year-old mold in the mainline unless it's a seeker, even if it's more or less fine already.

If I remember correctly, awhile back in this thread one of the trusted leakers had said kingdom rhinox is a new mold that looks almost the same as t30 just with improved articulation and combat ports as mentioned above

last I saw, I could be wrong, but the beast wars figures don't have weaponizer ports

Leader Megatron kinda does on the bottom of his feet, but the others really don't

Overquoting to say that I'm glad the beasts are not drilled with holes all over.
That would make for a relativery disturbing sight.

All of the Deluxe, Voyager and Leader class figures with beast alt modes have 5 mm ports at the bottom of their feet so far.
It would really be best to just take the Th30 Rhinox mold, tweak its issues, give it up to date articulation and those 5 mm ports but somehow I think they will something they can save more money on. Especially when it comes to his weapons.

I've seen a comment or three on Twitter and other forums that In Demand toys is getting Kingdom wave 1 in December. Normally I'd say congrats to the people on the other side of the pond but then Amazon went and charged me today for Kingdom Rattrap. They sent me an email Monday saying he'd show up Saturday but I figured that was like Kingdom Prime and wouldn't actually happen. Speaking of Prime, my order page on Amazon says December 5th - 29th. I wonder if December is gonna be more expensive than expected...

While the official release date is Jan first, we tend to get the new yearly lines in December. It's more routine than anything else.

Interesting, Amazon had all the figures with a February 1st ship date except for BW Megs with a March 1st date. Not complaining, looking forward to playing with Rattrap and Baby Prime.
